Machaca con Huevos with refried beans and fresh carrot/pineapple juice. Amazing!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend. We arrived around 6 to be greeted by the very hospitable innkeepers. We grilled burgers on the gas grill there that is offered to all the guests to use. We had such a relaxing time n the hot tub and slept like babies in our more Spanish inspired rooms. In the morning we woke to the smell of an amazing breakfast being cooked and fresh juices being squeezed. As we walked in the kitchen area there was coffee brewed and pastries sitting on the table for us. Let me tell you the breakfast that was served was out of this world delicious. Far better than any restaurant I've been to. I would most definitely stay here again and absolutely recommend this home away from home to anyone who is looking for a quick relaxing getaway.

They seemed to show up when we had questions, yet never intrusive. The property is immaculate. The beautiful home, grounds and all of the amenities were carefully planned. They thought about what may be needed. I did not need anything. The homemade chocolate chip cookies, chocolates, other snacks and enough water if needed throughout the night welcomed us were another thoughtful touch. Breakfast each morning was truly an experience. We enjoyed a two-course breakfast, and the innkeepers let us know what would be served while also making sure our dietary preferences were accommodated, including that some in our group did not eat pork. From French toast to eggs and grits accompanied by fruit, everything was delicious. Even smelling breakfast being prepared made you look forward to sitting down and enjoying every morsel. Whether sitting and swinging on the front porch, sauna, stretching on mats, lifting weights, on treadmill, cycling, watching movie on the big screen, it was really easy to relax and settle here. I could easily see myself returning.

The innkeepers greeted its and took us for a tour of the entire property. The immaculately clean home boasts a pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness room, theater room, and a catch and release pond on 19 serene acres off of Sandy Creek Rd. in Fayetteville, GA. I say home because they encourage you to make yourself at home. The hosts were remarkable. Therefore did you all the privacy that you needed, but somehow we needed information they appeared as it by magic. The experience is next level! And they were concerned not only about your experience on the property, they were ready to assist with your experience offsite as well. They had restaurant and activity recommendations to satisfy every taste. Of course you can't talk about a bed and breakfast without talking about the breakfast. OMG!!! Best breakfast ever. Homemade scones with homemade blueberry butter, quiche Lorraine, waffles, and fresh pressed coffee!! I felt like royalty...and don't get me talking about that bacon! I can't stop thinking about it. Truly a perfect getaway! I can't wait to return.

We stayed in Gen. Corse's Suite which had a super comfortable king size bed, a giant jacuzzi garden tub, heated bathroom tile floor, television, and more. There were so many thoughtful touches, like handcut flowers in a vase, a personalized note from the owner greeting us with our keys, corkscrew, ice bucket, and wine glasses. We had the privilege of speaking with Lynn, the owner, and she was so helpful and friendly. The inn was clean and beautifully decorated. Everything is within convenient driving distance. The location canNOT be beat - right across from the lake with great access to hiking trails and fishing holes. Even just walking and "setting" along the dam was so nice and breezy. Porch setting with a great view of the lake was relaxing. The beds are comfortable (if a bit high for this 5'3" short-legged lady) and the homemade quiche for breakfast was super creamy, with some berries for extra fiber. The owners served breakfast and though did *NOT* REQUIRE masks for Covid protection, they did wear masks and also showed off their extra-disinfectant machine and other anti-Covid preparations that they were taking. VERY affordable for us ~ $130+taxes and fees for 1 Friday night during Covid, I'm not sure if that was a lower price due to quarantine but it was a definite value from our perspective. I highly recommend this stop to people who want to spend time in Cartersville or at Lake Allatoona or are just passing through and want a non-hotel experience - you will love it!!

I was traveling with my 9 y/o daughter from CA and was concerned about staying at the local hotel due to some concerning reviews. When I shared this with Jenny on the phone, she said, "I'll take care of you guys" with Southern charm and made me feel so comfortable that I booked our week-long accommodation on the spot! Everything was perfect! The Cottonmill Suite was so lovely - spotless, the bed was comfortable, we had AC, flatscreen tv and more than enough space to relax and unwind! Every morning we were spoiled with a yummy breakfast, with eggs from their local farm (which my daughter got to visit), pancakes, bacon....and the works! Every afternoon, there were free goodies available....including banana bread & brownies! On Friday night, we enjoyed a candlelight dinner, with dessert brought up to our room. Jenny & Teddy (and all the workers) were so great! Every need and request was met with a smile and "yes, ma'am." Hands down, this is the place to stay when you're in the area. Thank you, Jenny, for sharing your B&B with us!

We only had very general ideas about our destination each day, so nothing was booked in advance. I'd generally go online to book something only hours in advance of our arrival. Such was the case when we arrived at Hogan House at Rose Hill. Poor Linda didn't even know we were arriving and she was clearly ready for some alone time with a glass of wine, but she was ever so gracious in showing us around the house and even upgraded our room for us. Most amazingly, she asked if we had any food restrictions for breakfast the next morning and barely blinked an eye when I told her that I eat anything, but my husband is vegan. Although out of her comfort zone, Linda not only stepped up to the challenge, she delivered! She even made separate dishes for each of us even though told her that was unnecessary (after all, **I** don't make two meals at home!) A lovely setting, with a lovely host and lovely conversation - definitely recommend!

We stayed in The Suite, and I cannot address the other rooms. The house was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable. Our hostess made sure that the air condition was set at a comfortable temperature, and she graciously provided us with her own fan. Although breakfast was not prepared for us, we did have total access to the kitchen, including a stocked pantry, stocked refrigerator, stove and oven. We chose to eat breakfast at a nearby fast food establishment both mornings. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, soap, and body lotion. A built-in hair dryer was provided. Our suite was provided with a sitting room, where I set up shop to work on my computer. WiFi signal was strong, and internet speed was good. The inn is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Dallas. The technical college is about a five-minute drive from the inn. Perhaps the inn's greatest asset is its hostess. She was very accommodating, and she did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. The bathroom was equipped with a clawfoot tub / shower. The edge of the tub is high, which could make it difficult for for frail people to enter and exit. There is a grab bar for the toilet. There is no grab bar for the bath tub. The literature for the inn clearly says that pets are not allowed, but be aware that our hostess had an old large arthritic dog who resides at the inn and may bark quite loudly when he first greets you. He is a kind old soul, and I enjoyed his company. But if you you have a thing about dogs, this could be an issue.

The room I stayed in was supplied with everything you would ever need and was the clean. Did I mention how clean and fresh everything is? Clean would be an understatement. As far as value goes this place would be worth more than an hours worth to get to a destination. Small town charm with everything close by. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
