They will only band-aid remedy a problem and make no effort to SOLVE the problem. Here is my experience: Yellow lab, diarrhea for a week and started vomiting, progressed to having poop accidents in the house and vomiting even when she hadn't ingested anything, which eventually resulted in blood in her vomit. During this progression I was out of town on a business trip and had to fly back and take her to urgent care. Urgent care just pumped her with IV fluids and gave her anti-nausea medication. I provided fecal and bile and they just said "we dont do that here". But, they do X-rays though, thats a good chunk. $750 for xray, fluids, prescription, and no actual resolution. They just straight band-aid the problem and send you on your way with nothing. I asked them "Why aren't you prescribing antibiotics?" They said "We don't see anything that would suggest she needs it." I was absolutely dumbfounded. Moving on 1.5 weeks later after doing everything they suggested, pills and blande diet, she is right back to where she started. We called them back and asked for a refill of the anti-nausea prescription and they're telling us "No, you have to bring her back in." Everything about this place screams money grab. DO NOT GO HERE. TAKE YOUR PET UP THE STREET TO WILLARD VET. Its a little more expensive but they get the job done, get it done right, and get it done the first time.

After a horrific visit a year back, we are not going back. My tiny 7 lbs shy Cornish Rex handled with thick autoclave bite-proof gloves, failure to get blood draw - 3 pricks, charging for the urine test that was not performed, general attitude from the receptionist - on the phone, trying to upsell some diet food, ignoring the customer waiting to check in, the vet (Jessica) looked like she did not even like cats, do I need to continue? Really, just find a local non-incorporated vet (dogs and cats are OK) - you would get a better service, the attention to the cat and her humans, and better price! That's what I did.

They were incredible years ago with my first cat, and now they've been even more amazing with JohnnyCat -- a stray who quickly became my king! When he developed an unexpected cyst, WLCC handled it immediately and with such compassion. Later, when he was diagnosed with asthma, they treated him as if he were their own. The team patiently walked me through how to use an inhaler on a cat -- something that was pretty nerve-wracking at first -- but their kindness and calm guidance made the whole process so much easier. Everyone at WLCC, from the doctors to the techs and front desk staff, is knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely devoted to every cat who comes through their doors. I can't recommend WLCC highly enough for anyone looking for a truly special place to care for their beloved furbabies.

We had already arranged time off from work, but VCA called us because of a duplicate appointment in their system and moved our appointment to September 4 at 11:20 AM. Because my cat's serious ear condition could not wait until September 4, we had to take her to VCA Weymouth Emergency on August 18. The emergency veterinarian specifically told us she needed follow-up care. She is still under treatment and waiting to see a VCA dermatologist on October 12. Today we arrived at 11:30--10 minutes late, and I acknowledge that. We were told appointments are only 20 minutes long, and the doctor refused to see her. I had to sit there with my sick cat waiting for my husband to pick us up until 11:53. During that entire time, I did not see another patient come in. This was not a routine visit. Her serious condition, emergency visit, and need for follow-up care are all in the VCA medical records. I understand that clinics have policies, but sick animals needing follow-up care also deserve basic compassion and consideration. Very disappointing experience.

I called Lap of Love early in the morning on a Saturday, and they had an opening on Monday as well as an off-hours visit that evening due to a cancellation. As much as I wanted to put this off, I knew that I couldn't do that to my best fluffy guy and reserved that night's appointment. Dr. Kim (Smith) arrived just before 8pm, and after greeting my sweet boy she sat on the floor with him and explained the process, what he would feel (nothing after the needle itself) and asked if I had any more questions. My sweet boy left a while later with her - bundled up with one of his squeaky toys - and as I watched them drive away, I realized that in 14 years I had never seen him driving away from me. It was an awful feeling, but Dr. Kim's kindness made me feel better about making that phone call earlier in the day. She emailed me the following morning to see how I was doing, and reminded me that she and everyone at Lap of Love were there if I needed to speak with them.

Dr. Amanda was very kind and patient through the process of giving the injections to my cat. She took him out tucked into a cat bed, which preserved his dignity. She even followed up via email and a nice card afterwards. Lap of love also offers resources for both people and other pets who are grieving.
