...Personally, I wouldn't bring a rabid dog to Braintree Vet or Dr C- anymore... to be fair, they used to rock, the first 2yrs of business - i went there since they opened 2021, with all our animals until recently. Customer service, CLEANLINESS, cost efficiency, and communication has declined. It's not the place it used to be- let's start the front desk A****a, really just here but shes your first impression of this place when you walk in). will give you sass, has you wait and then rushes you, every time without question- to all patrons. 2-3 years ago- it wasn't so, you would have people that actually care- like H***y and D**y- who listened, heard you out, did not negatively summarizing your pet's concerns, and would check you in and out with a smile, as well as seeing hot to make your vet bill not as expensive if possible Reader's digest- my dog had an operation which lead to a him getting an ear infection (which Dr on recorded line that was replayed when management stepped in). said could have been during cleaning and "likely could" be from their end - and on phone seemingly agree we did not need to pay "-eval and what have you" (she quotes). I paid approx $1500 pre-surgical work up and surgery this month alone- they should pay for the nosocomial event treatment, yet the front desk deny any possibility that it happened. So - the 'lovely' secretary then tries to charge $60 for the med to treat the ear infection (that my pet never had before and symptoms noted 3-4 days after their boarding/surgery) - Dr C comes back to back up secretary saying actually the med should be something I pay. I say no, please escalate this. Secretary then points at me yell across front desk I am being inappropriate; several other customers actually backed me up and said no, he's not- I wasn't even yelling... Management involved - without hearing my side of story (and on the phone with me 15 seconds; but 20 minutes with the staff) - agree we that the med should be covered and we will not be doing business together. Continued business lost from poor communication and their inability to acknowledge their wrong We are not the only one with dogs getting infection's after being seen after this place. Please speak up; advocate for your friend's furry friends. Share your stories, there are more options available in the South Shore Oh and Let alone, over the years the prices increased drastically (just as expensive as some local Vet ED's and you wouldn't have to wait) I encourage you to ask to see where they board your dog after, I did, they wouldn't show me. read more

This was my first time here. I heard from a friend that they were good. The check out was by appointment only. They allow one person with pet. My dog have been dealing with a cough that been getting worst. The waiting room was very comfortable. They made my dog feel at home but it was very scared and shaky . They comfort him while checking his breathing. He was so terrified that he pooped on the carpet. They didn't make a big of it and continue with examining him. They suggested blood work and x-ray. They cleaned up the mess and took my dog. I waited a few minutes till they return my dog. They explained the results and gave him antibiotics. Overall, the service was amazing. It's a bit pricy to make sure your dog is okay. I will return read more

My dog Coco is always excited to come to the vet. I absolutely have LOVED the service here! They are all extremely nice, make conversation, answer all the questions, validate concerns, and really are super kind with pets. Coco is always happy to see our vet Dr. DeCosmo and I've had such a great experience here with him and all the staff. All the rooms are clean and they try their best to have a welcoming environment. I've been here at least a handful of times for various reasons and haven't had a single bad experience. It's my first time being a dog mom and they've made the experience so easy. I've been taking my dog here since he was a puppy (8 weeks) and after a year I'm already finding a new vet. They're so unprofessional, rude, money-grabbing, and overall I don't trust them. They didn't call me to let me know certain things ahead of coming in for my dogs care (like not feeding him because he may have needed sedatives) or they would have me come in when I didn't need to and would still charge me. It feels like no one in their office communicates or actually reads the notes so you're constantly repeating yourself. They always took him into the back to do any of his care so I wasn't able to train him or give him treats to reassure him everything was ok and then they said that he can't be treated without sedatives because he's reactive. Well, of course he is, he's scared and you haven't done anything to help me help him feel comfortable with his first vet visits. Overall, just feels disorganized and like they don't actually care about the animals. read more

I've searched far & wide now finally have found my French Bulldogs go-to vet in the area! 1. They let you in with your pet. 2. The aesthetics were spot on and super clean. I appreciate how it doesn't smell like "dog" (if you know what I mean) like most vets when you walk in. 3. My French Bulldog saw Dr. Lussier and she was amazing! I really appreciate whenever she makes a recommendation & also tell you the cost without you even have to feel shy & ask yourself. 4. Was able to make an appointment within a few days. I took my dog here last week and was told her anal glands ruptured and she had a bad infection. They shaved the area, gave us pain medication and antibiotics, told us to not let her scoot on her butt and sent her home. My father took the dog for a walk and she pulled a fast one and scooted for a second and he stopped her. She was getting worse so we took her back on Saturday and the woman (I think her name was Jean) that worked here basically did nothing for our dog. She also didn't read the whole file and told us our dog had giardia when she didn't and then realized it was a different dog with the same name. So she almost misdiagnosed AND mistreated my dog which could have been fatal to my dog. We took my dog back Monday because she was in so much pain and we were really scared. The woman who saw my dog came into the room with a nasty attitude saying "why is your dog back here she is fine, what else do you want me to do about it" and then proceeded to yell at my mom saying "well your husband let her scoot on her butt so it's your fault she is worse." It was so nasty and so unprofessional. The lack of empathy and sympathy my worried mother was shown was astonishing. My mother is a nurse and would never speak to the family of her patients like that. We left and took our dog to South Shore Coastal and they were able to take care of my dog in FIVE minutes. My dogs butt was matted from the bacteria and blood and all they did was shave the whole area, wash the area and put a steroid powder on the area to help it heal. My dog is feeling much better now and it just shows that Braintree Veterinary Care is either lazy or totally incompetent. After this my mom's friend told us she recently brought her dog here because they thought something was wrong and the dog was dying. They told her and her family the dog was fine and sent it home. I could not be more pleased with the staff and services at Braintree Veterinary Care. Being new to the Quincy area, I was in need of an emergency veterinary visit when my dog was not able to keep his food down for 2 days. The staff at Braintree welcomed me in same day, addressed all my concerns, gave me a breakdown and an estimate of every service/test they were going to do before they did it. My dog ended up needing to stay for a couple hours to receive fluids, x-rays and blood work. The staff showed me where the dogs stay during the day and the doctor even followed up with me after the blood and x-ray results came back about an hour after I dropped him off. I am so grateful for their individualized attention and will certainly be a regular client! read more

My wife and I took our 3 year old GSD for annual, my dog gets excited easily and barks when strangers approach, but never ever aggressive. I reassured many times to them. We were taken to a room, got weight measured, the assistant came in and ask us questions, my dog barked at her few times but she was cool, my dog even licked her hand few times and seat on her side while we were talking, I told the assistant I think my dog likes you and she laughed...everything looks great, then the assistant left and we waited until both the vet and the assistant came in together, my dog barked again, with leash on of course, at that point I was still trying to reassure her the dog is not aggressive, just barking. And I was so sure after the assistant's first contact with my dog, the vet would acknowledging the dog is not aggressive, but she went in, ask me to take the dog far away from her and told me my dog is not ok, we would need to take he back and make another appointment when he's calmed by some kind of pill she'll prescribe us...I told her this is not the first vet appointment we had, he is just barking, bla bla bla... then just while we were talking, my dog put his little paw on the desk and gently licked the assistant on the FACE!!! The vet immediately pulls the assistant back and said if the assistant got beaten, the vet is responsible...I'm like... what am I seeing... it's unbelievable...I've seen many vets but a vet has no idea how to deal with a barking dog is rarely seen, how could a vet be so misjudging...you can mussel him all you want, but refuse to see a dog that just showed you how nice he is... is not cool. We, of course, will never see this pet hospital again, my dog and cat deserves better... read more

Brought my two cats here for the first time and cannot say enough about the genuine best care they received while making my husband and I feel very comfortable being there. I brought my cat in a week ago because she was not eating. They never gave her a full exam. They gave me medicine for neaseua (sp?) and medicine to get her eating. They took blood work and said the cat has a kidney problem. I have 6 to 12 months before she passes. I get it cats age and pass. However, I expected a full examination of my cat. They never checked the cats mouth. To my surprise the cat did not eat because it had a mouth infection and she is bleeding from the mouth. To add to the injury, they told me to put the medicine in her ear. I did what they said. The directions to administer the medication was incorrect as well. I put a whole tube of medicine down the cat's ear which should have been on the ear lobes. she is a small cat. I spent $450 for the visit to include the two medication; one of which you can get on Chewy.com for more than half the cost. The cat has not eaten in almost a week and a half. This is negligence. read more

From the first call, Bailey was treated with compassion, the staff has fantastic attention to detail, and truly listened to what I said. They understood my concerns, and were patient when we had to come back multiple times due to a skittish pup (not their fault!). They prioritize safety for the dog, bring the dog back into a room so they're not stressed by other dogs, and I love that they offer happy visits as well so we can build up baileys confidence. New vet in the area . They are great and we are new to the area too so it's a perfect fit. Prices are reasonable ( I'm used to Boston ). They check up on the pats after each visit and seem to take an active interest their the health of each animal . Also relatively easy to get an appt .. hope that doesn't change. So far Braintree Vet Care has exceeded my expectations. Very clean and the staff are professional. My dog has fear aggression anxiety but the staff was EXTREMELY patient with him and made him ease his fears. He has a schedule surgery at the end of this month and the price is reasonable. This will definitely be my dogs new clinic in the case his mobile doctor isn't around. I wanted to give them 5 stars but will wait until after the surgery. read more
