Very nice studio suite with a complete kitchen. Outdoor large swimming pool next to spacious patio with a covered pergola and 2 gas grills. Due to COVID only serving grab go cold breakfast.

Comfy quiet rooms off the highway

Nice quiet hotel off the highway in Amarillo. Called and used the Hilton guarantee for a nice discount. Plenty of free parking available. Large breakfast area, but closed due to COVID. Coffee served in the morning, but no other hot drinks or hot water. Water bottles and bags of ice available at the front desk. Note: Although masks are required in public areas of the hotel, several families felt that they were exempt from this public health request. Hand sanitizers available throughout the hotel.

Switched to three rooms and all were dirty Pubic hair in bed hair in sink...... dishes and silver water have lip stains..... manager really sarcastic and said she can't reimburse points and has to have the cleaning staff check it which is crazy cause they did it. Horrible service definitely messaging the CEO Chris on this one ...... down right nasty

I honestly have never even seen this bug before, I felt like I was in some exotic Insectarium (yes that's a word for insect Zoo)

It must have been an unlucky set of circumstances for me. This is not my first time staying at this hotel. When I stayed here previously everything was fine, rooms were clean, and service was decent. However, the following set of events occurred the date this review is posted, which was such a bad experience that it prompted me to write this review. I arrived on a Monday afternoon, close to check-in time. I was greeted formally by the front desk and thanked for being a diamond member. However, I did not receive complimentary waters which is usually a tiny, but commendable benefit for HH members. This isn't a big deal, just compounds on the experience. I went to my room, after 7 hours of driving and went to work on my computer until 8pm or so. By the time I was done, I was exhausted and ready to shower and get some sleep. However, upon entering the showers I notice this little black bugs (see pictures). I kill a couple and just assume it's a coincidence, maybe dragged in from somewhere. As I start walking around the bed and connecting my chargers, I notice more of the little black bugs around the carpets. And then I notice, there's a lot more, all over the room. At this point I call the front desk. This must be a problem with this room. After calling the front desk, someone is sent upstairs, who checks the bugs and confirms that there is in fact, bugs in my room. So I call back the front desk and ask for a transfer. I have to go downstairs with all my things to turn in my old key for a new one. Great, time to pack everything back up and head downstairs. So I head downstairs with all my luggage. At this point, I go back and forth with the front desk to try and get another room in the top floor. There isn't any, okay... I take a downgrade. I really do appreciate not having big foot stomping above me, than the size of my room. So I get my new downgraded room, and return upstairs. At this point the front desk did not offer any points or anything for my inconvenience, so I ask since this is usually done for instances like this. "I'll talk to my manager." Upon walking into my new room, there is the little black bug, staring right up at me. I must have walked into his territory. At this point, I'm defeated, I don't want to keep changing rooms so I start looking at alternative hotels. I get a call from the front desk. "The manager said she would give you points," Says the front desk. Okay... How many? "Sorry, she didn't say." Ah, okay. I'm changing hotels. So I grab a reservation for the holiday inn down the road, since the home2suites was full, and here I am now. Typing away my frustrations. I will probably update this, there is still the possibility that they decide to charge me despite leaving. If that whole other ordeal unfolds, I will talk about. Also the AC vent was terrible, see pictures, yuck. Also, the Holiday Inn West is awesome, really clean and new, and most importantly no bugs (yay!) TL;DR bad customer service, bugs everywhere, and dirty.

    Nice room

Clean room, comfy bed for a one night stay. Breakfast is called grab n go. Had cereal, bagels, toast, packaged hard boiled eggs l, juice and coffee. The only reason for 4 stars was because the A/C unit was loud when it would kick in. This does not bother most sleepers but it does the ones that are light sleepers(as it does my husband).

One of the biggest issues was the lack of consistent air conditioning throughout the building, which made common areas feel uncomfortable at times. I also found the terrace layout inconvenient since there are no stairs providing direct access, making it less practical than expected. Unfortunately, the room had a funky odor when I arrived that never completely went away during my stay. While the staff was courteous and the location was convenient, the overall experience didn't match the quality I expected. With some renovations and improved upkeep, this hotel could be a much better place to stay.

I am the single mom who brought her kids here to share the Mesquite room on October 9-10, 2022. This bed and breakfast is located in a somewhat remote area of Amarillo, Texas. The surrounding landscape is a bit reminiscent of Palo Duro Canyon - which is just a short drive away - but not in an extreme way that the Lone Star state park yields. The view from the hot tub at 7:30PM was amazing with a glorious display of sunset colors. Robes were provided behind the bathroom door. Near the pond on the old red, white, and blue amusement park ride chair, we found a walking stick. A friendly orange Tabby cat kept returning to our front door. My 8 and 9-year-old couldn't resist petting the stray feline. We weren't crazy about the continental breakfast which comprised of a cherry turnover, Yoplait yogurt, and Tropicana apple juice so we'll pass on that if we don't stay on a morning when they offer a hot meal. Just a couple of other cons: I leave to pick up pizza in town and someone takes my spot in front of our door. Lol. Also, my stupid Sprint/T-mobile coverage was terrible here. The other accomodations definitely overrode the somewhat lacking Monday morning breakfast: quiet neighborhood, calm weather, microwave, mini fridge, iron & board, lots of programs on the TV, free Wi-Fi, walk-in shower, and private gated area with code access.

We stayed in the Pinion. The positives. It's remote and really close to Palo Duro Canyon (18 minutes) That was nice. It's about 12 minutes from the Big Texan. It's in a pretty setting. The bed was comfy. We stay at B&B's because there is a level of expectation where hospitality takes over and you feel like you were being treated like royalty. This is not that place. It almost felt like our stay was a little bit of an inconvenience. The room is small and very dated, but covered in wood plank and not very clean. A lot of dust. This particular room did not have a shower and only a bath tub with the hot water trickles out. I'm not joking. It took about 30 minutes to fill the bathtub. Tip 1. Make sure to ask if the room you are booking has a shower if you're needing a shower for medical reasons or handicap accessibility. According to one of the reviews, and in their pictures, there appeared to be a nice shower in the mesquite, but we weren't given the chance to stay there. Once you get in the room, you're given two towels for the bath and two towels for the hot tub. I uncovered the hot tub to see that the water was very cloudy and it wasn't a result of the bubbles. So I put the cover right back on. They don't give you anything with respect to toiletries when it comes to soap or shampoo or lotions or bath bomb. So it really does feel like you're not being pampered. Bed And Breakfast should always feel like you're being pampered. And inside the room, you're not giving any type of bottled water, filtered water and so you rely on the bathroom sink in the bathroom tub. Which I thought was really bad. The outside of the room was covered in Pineneedles on the walkway, and so we tracked some into a room. When we were trying to get into the door, some even to get into the wheels of our suitcase. It was kind of annoying. The area is just really dated and not well kept. However, that does give it a very rustic feel and so if you're into that kind of thing that it may suit your fancy. It does have a really cute cat that keeps you company in the random deer that you will see from time to time. Overall, I'm sure it meets the needs of a specific clientele that would enjoy that atmosphere but when I go to a bed-and-breakfast, I consider myself to be high maintenance. So they certainly could meet the need a specific individuals however, it's not a place that I would really return to .

I could give a description of her but maybe you can figure out who she was by the date and time. Also, if you advertise a bar it should be open. Ridiculous!!!!
