This is a smaller tasting room off the main road that offers wines, meads and ciders. I opted for a 5 wine tasting and enjoyed them on the sunny deck. I had a mix of white and red wines that were too dry for my liking. The Vidal Blanc was the only one that was ok. The woman working at the venue was really nice, but it's not a place I would revisit as these wines are not to my liking.

This is a unique winery because they have mead wine. I really like mead. I was tickled to finally introduced it to my husband. They have lovely gardens, a gazebo, plenty of outdoor seating. It's not a place to go unless the weather is cooperative. I liked their Chardonnay is aged in oak. It is lightly buttery and it has a nice light finish unlike other Chardonnays that can be heavy. This would make a great table wine. I also really liked their wild flower mead. Its sweet, light, and floral. It's a perfect sipping wine. This wine I want to drink cold sitting by the pool on a hot summer day. They serve appetizers. We had a savory cheese ball that that a praline topping served with gourmet butter crackers. It was absolutely divine. We will absolutely return here.

Great Harvest Host. Woke up to this hillside pastoral view a Honah Lee Vineyard.... very quiet but we can hear the road a couple hundred yards below. Bacon & Eggs & Toast & fresh coffee. Saturday and nothing to do.... all right. Vera is a gracious caring host and her entire family were a great blessing... You're the BEST.... And fine wine and tasty goodies to boot. Dont miss the wine slushies...mmmmmmmm. http://honahleevineyard.com/

Fantastic. Very nice and very accommodating. Views from the campsite are. Very helpfully staff.

One of Virginia's BEST! The winery is beautiful with excellent wine and great owners in a wonderful location. Highly recommend!!! Feeling white? Hit up the ENjoy, you won't be disappointed. More of a red lover? You'll fall in love with the tannat! And make sure to check out Puffs Sweet Heat; a spicy mead to treasure! Whatever your preference you can't go wrong here! And, if you're a harvest host member, spend the night amongst the grapes and the stars - spectacular!!! Salut!

Enjoyed my visit, but this place takes a bit of 'splaing. Honah Lee is an amazing vineyard that only recently started making wine under their own label, which is bottled at Michael Shaps Wineworks. But Honah also is the tasting room for Well Hung, and alternate tasting room for both Michael Shaps wines and Gabrielle Rausse. So during any visit, you'll find wines from 1-2-3-4 different labels. Follow me so far? Ironically, many (or was it all?) of these 'guest' wines are made with grapes from Honah Lee's own vineyard, so in a way they are indirectly 'their' wines as well. If you've been to these other places, there's a good chance you've had HL's grapes. This makes HL a great place to visit if you appreciate any of these wine makers (and you should; these are top notch places), or simply want to show your appreciation for the 'true source' of some amazing wines! The tasting room is teeny tiny; it almost feels like a bakery and wine store (in fact I got some amazing jellies here!). But with a menu of (when I visited) 20 tasting options, you pick 6. HL's wines trend towards soft reds. A partial list of what I tried: Petit Manseng: Not sweet, more syrupy. Not bad but not my style. 2015 Meritage: Still young; spicy nose to it but still on the lighter side of medium. 2015 Pinot Noir: Liked it, but again on the softer side of medium. 2015 Malbec: A rarity for Virginia! The terroir isn't conducive to the bold Malbecs that are my favorite, but I did enjoy this one. They went out of their way to tone down the boldness, to include keeping it in neutral oak for only 7 months. Rosso Malbec (Gabrielle Rausse): I'm including it here because apparently this isn't sold at GR's actual tasting room. At $18 this bottle is a steal! Barberra, Sangivese, Refosco (a bold Italian grape I never hear from). Bought a bottle. PS: BerryWood Farm is the bakery side of the business, although they are the same building.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time here! We had Trish attend us in the new year of 2021! She was so knowledgeable and great company as she guided us through the wine tasting! Do not be fooled by the look of the outside! The inside is so cute, cozy, and the personal attention is the best! Very different from corporate wineries in Virginia. The 2017 wines are a must! We were able to take a few bottles back home!

Small interesting vineyard. Not fancy at all. Their wines are good but they seem to be more into meads. Which for me are to sweet.

Wow, we were glad we did!! From the time we booked, the owner, Chanel, texted us to ask when we would arrive, and offered restaurant recommendations. When we arrived, she made us feel special and welcome with a "special parking spot"- which was under a covered area and great because it provided us cover from the rain while unpacking our car. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and were pleasantly surprised that the room and gorgeous bathroom looked even better in person than the pics online. Chanel was the right mix of attentive while still giving us lots of privacy. We really enjoyed this lovely manor, and you can tell a lot of love has gone into making it. On the day of meeting to see the venue, literally 30 minutes before the meeting, she sent my fiancé an email and said someone else already booked our date. When I asked how that's possible without viewing the venue, she stated that you can pay by PayPal, checks, over the phone, etc. when I asked why I wasn't given these options to secure my date, I was told my fiancé didn't want to book and pay for anything until we saw the venue, which was the complete opposite of the emails my fiancé sent her. In hindsight, We went by the venue and it didn't look like the photos on the website did. It looked a lot smaller, and everything is set up in a little portion of the front yard. The decorations looked run down due to weather. I would NOT RECOMMEND booking here. Edit: Since posting this review, I've received about 10 emails and 17 missed calls from the owner. The latest email stated that if I do not take this negative review down, they'll have no choice to sue both myself and my fiancé. I've never been married before and as a woman who had been dreaming about this day forever I wanted to use a vendor that could literally bring my vision to life. Delores Roberts the owner of this business was the most professional amazing woman I have ever met in my entire life. I live in New York and Delores is in Virginia, Delores was able to take concepts and ideas over the phone, that I had given to her regarding my very special day my first and only wedding and she was able to bring that completely to life she was quick efficient and professional she took notes with everything that she did and she executed absolutely everything with fair prices even throwing in quite a bit of her own that didn't cost us anything just because she sincerely wanted to make sure that our day was perfect, and it truly was perfect!!! I was completely pleasantly amazed when I entered the venue, literally I was moved to tears she, and her team are absolute gems!!! These ladies were so personable and professional!!! They all were so supportive and they supported me and my husband beyond the scope of just being our decor specialist. This vendor was a prayer answered I would recommend this business without reservation with the highest recommendations I could and multiply that by 1 million. There was two couples that were guest at our wedding. They are doing a great job of growing varietals that do well in central Virginia, Petit Manseng, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, etc. I tasted most of their white wines, and liked ALL of them, which is quite a surprise for this California boy. They are creating some really nice variations, like Petit Manseng (2024 vintage) that does not hit you over the head with pineapple, and has great balance. Their Pinot Gris had a strong fruit component and more complexity than most, good acid without making your mouth pucker. The Viognier is less performed and drier than most, with good body and balance. They serve charcuterie that is locally prepared, and have a large cheerfully tasting room with comfortable couches and fireplaces for the winter. It's air conditioned and very comfortable right now, with great views of the vineyards. This is a family owned vineyard, and Noel and his wife and son were all charming and knowledgable.
