I love this theater, I have nothing but love for it. If it were up to me- I'd go every night I'm in Luray. I love the pink outside. It just is so cute and quaint and pops out in the Luray downtown skyline. My bf and I have been going here for years. It was so sad when the owner passed, it closed for a while and the town was simply not the same. Since it's reopened, we have continued to support! We saw the woman king here this weekend- the theater is rarely full but just gives us a whole showing to ourselves and maybe some stragglers. The decor is out dated but it just has an ambiance I can't describe. I love it here. Unsure who owns it now, if it stayed in the family? But regardless the experience is unbeatable. You MUST experience it, at least once. The popcorn isn't the best- in fact it's quite salty. But it combines with my coke so well!!! The vast options for snacks is unbeatable- where else can you get a toblerone bar, trolli sour worms, coke, and a popcorn!!?! Some movies I noticed are a little delayed in coming out here too- look people, it's no AMC so don't expect that!!! I notice they are doing monthly free showings for the community too!! We are from out of town and needed something to do during the bad weather. This is such a gem! Everything was clean, and for being such a small theater the screen was great and so was the sound! The seating also reminded me of theaters from my childhood before the reserve and recline seats were a thing which was a nostalgic plus. The popcorn was also good and way more affordable than typical movie concessions. read more

The theater is charming. Popcorn was good. Good selection of candy. It was a very hot day outside. It was very warm in the theater. I couldn't sit through the entire movie because of this. The theater is clean and friendly staff. $9 for an adult ticket. read more

I'm not kidding this is THE BEST THEATER IN AMERICA!! Yeah, some of the rooms have smaller screens, but the rooms are small too, so its all relative. Most nights its like having your own private movie theater; and you don't get the crowds that most big towns do. The decorations in this theater are so awesome!! Every room has its own motif, I LOVE it. There is no other place I'd rather go to a movie ever, period. The prices for popcorn, drinks and candy are from like 1985, its a deal! Probably cheaper than the 7-11 down the road. This place is a GEM, and of all the places I patronize restaurants, shops, etc... This is probably hands down my favorite business ever. Small town theater but there is nothing small about this theater (maybe the # of seats). It is hands down the nice's most well maintained movie theater I have ever been to. Amazing art, sculpture's, floors and ceiling. A true gem in the Luray area. read more

Was walking around town and the theater was open so we came on in to watch Super Troopers 2. $9.00 a person which is cheaper than were we are from. The popcorn was $4.00 and the drink was $3.00. Walked into our theater and it was decorated like Egyptian. Pretty interesting to look at. The seats are a little tight and not much leg room but it was clean. The floors aren't sticky and the seats are clean don't see any stains. read more

Place is cool except for the crotchety old man working there. He was annoyed when I paid for my tickets, annoyed when my gf ordered popcorn. Annoyed when she asked for free tap water, and really annoyed when the movie started, and then just as the lights went down, my gf still had her cell phone on. This place is a true gem. Sure the theaters are small and decoration a little hokey but this place has pizazz! We are sitting here with 4 other people in our theater, received fresh pop corn that didn't break the bank, about to watch a current movie and there is crushed ice in your soft drinks. We had a great time visiting this theater on vacation as a family. The screen in the room we were in was smaller than larger theaters, but the auditorium was smaller so everything was "sized" appropriately. Overall, the experience was great, the atmosphere was friendly, and the decor provided for a unique experience while visiting the area. Sound was great. I stopped in for the first time to see Lincoln, recently. I would recommend it. The staff was pleasant and willing to assist, which is a welcome departure from the usual indifference of many places in the valley. The theatre was clean and didn't smell of musty old carpeting, like some old theatres. This is a throwback to an era of movie going that has come and gone. Worth the experience on many levels, and the prices can't be beaten for entertainment nowadays. read more

This place is pretty cool. The screens aren't huge, but the ticket prices are good and this is sort of one of those places you go to for "the experience". It's got some interesting decorations on the interior to say the least. A few years ago the lobby was remodeled to look like the Sistine chapel. It doesn't quite meet the mark in terms of accuracy (I've been), but it's fun anyways. I've always liked going to see movies here. read more

Fun way to end a day of being outdoors. This is a small theater with only a handful of screens and a lot of character. The ticket prices were a little below what I'm used to, and popcorn and drink prices a excellent (although the popcorn was way too salty). The movie screen was small, but clear, and the sound quality was higher than I expected for a locally owned establishment. The only drawback is there is no way it's handicap accessible. If you are not able bodied, I do not recommend. The bathroom stalls were teeny tiny so that's something to keep in mind as well. Warning: it's cash only. read more

The theater has been updated beautifully with art and sculptures. The entrance fee is reasonable ($9) and snacks and drinks are as well ($7 for both). Movies showing seem to be a week or two behind opening date but that's okay. I have been going here for many, many years, and one would think the manager Jerry would have gotten friendlier especially to his loyal locals but in fact, quite the opposite. He lacks people skills and does not EVER present a welcoming atmosphere. His employees are a little more friendly but they too could use some people skills. Jerry seems to be annoyed and bothered when waiting on his customers which is a shame because if I have the chance to drive 30-50 miles elsewhere (like to Alamo in Winchester or Regal in Harrisonburg), I would much rather spend my money there. read more

A nice theater for a small town, the theaters are all elaborately( and some what creepily) decorated. The seats are small and very uncomfortable, the screens are small compared to that of a theater chain, the sound system sounds like it still has an 8 trac running it, and the ticket/concessions aree no less expensive than the larger competetors. The own/operator has a straight to the point, old man, rude attitude, so if you are sensitive to how you are treated I recommend you keep clear. This place is great for the local teenagers and the yearly tourist(leafers). However if you you have a way to drive a mere 30 miles to Harrisonburg, I recommend it as there is a regal there. Don't get me wrong I would prefer to support a local business and am willing to sacrifice comfortable seats, good audio and larger screen to do so but for me personally I cannot stand the owners attitude toward the public, like movie goers are a burden on him and his theater. read more

This is by far the most impressive theater I have ever been to. The amount of love and devotion put into decorating and creating an ambiance to show case first run movies makes you want to hang out just to admire the splendid decor. This little non impressive movie theater on the outside doesn't do the 7 theater movie theater justice in this small town. Each theater room is a different theme from large Egyptian room, to the knight room, to a Chinese room. Lots of different candy opinions, the sound was fantastic and its impressive such a small 7 theater business has digital projectors. While the other review complained about the older fellow, the guy owns it and has taken much pride in the renovations he has done himself. If you can appreciate the hard work that went into this place and love for movies he is more than willing to let you explore and tell you about all his plans. I wish I lived here so I could come here every week. read more

Amazing! The decor seems like a collab between Liberace and RuPaul. If you don't go on the weekend, it isn't crowded at all. The older gentleman in the bow tie who serves you is the owner- show some respect, the cinema is obviously his passion, and his establishment is a wonderful standalone experience for culture-deprived locals who despise theater chains. read more

This weekend, I saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Alien Covenant at the Page theater. It was a wonderful experience to see major motion pictures at a home town movie theater that celebrates what movies are all about. The owner maintains a spotless theater, great snacks at reasonable prices and an ambiance that is unparalleled in today's multiplexes. read more

The manager of this theater loves what he is doing. He has given so many years and so much money to make it what it is today. We love going to the movies here. There is no where you can go that you find an Egyptian themed theater, Middle ages theater, Chinese theater, etc. - love it all. Kudos to the manager.
