We were having an issue with the AC in our house where the unit would try to power on, then turn off immediately. Dave was one of the first people to respond to my request, and came out to investigate what the issue was. I appreciated that Dave talked me through what he was doing and how the AC unit & thermostat worked so I understood some basics of why things were not functioning correctly. It turned out there was a larger issue with the unit, and Dave was able to procure the parts and fix the unit in a timely manner. I bought a new house and had an issue where the AC upstairs would come on with so much air that things started blowing around the room. Dave came out super quickly to take a look and found that there was a 2 stage 2 ton unit dedicated to the 2 bedrooms. I asked him to disable the second stage. He seemed a little unsure when I started asking technical questions so I could understand what he was changing, but eventually told me all of the details of how he was changing the wiring. I'm an engineer, so I like to know the details in case I want to change them later. His price was reasonable, and he was able to solve the problem within 48 hours of me contacting him. read more

However, after learning my unit was still under warranty, he advised me to contact the original installers instead--saving me an unnecessary service charge. Since the original team hadn't been able to fix the problem before, Dave went above and beyond. He looked at a couple of photos, spent 45 minutes on the phone walking me through the issue, and provided step-by-step instructions on what needed to be done. Called Dave to check my furnace, no fire or spark. He was on his way home when he texted me and said he could by in a half hour. Quick to respond, nice dude. He did the best could and diagnosed that my furnace..,it was a bad logic board...no spark to igniter. He didn't want to charge me, but I insisted that take some money for his time. Dave was able to squeeze me in the same day which was amazing. He tested out a couple things and gave me advice on alternative thermostats (Nest malfunction) as that ended up being my issue not the actual HVAC system. Had A/c issue, called for availability and he showed up within 90 minutes, A/C working in about 15 minutes. Dave took to the time to explain everything he was doing and actually showed me all the safety switches and how to test them. This is the second time I have used him. I called Dave after my upstairs HVAC unit stopped working on an unseasonably hot day. He came out within a day's notice to assess the problem. After some troubleshooting, he determined that the breaker went bad. He thoroughly explained what went wrong and quickly replaced the breaker to get my unit up and running again. A Godsend. Thank you Dave. I have to thank this man for seriously getting us out of a rough and very hot situation. Our HVAC unit went out during the hottest week of summer.
