Catherine was very easy to work with and truly cares about the work she does. I had my wedding bouquet, wedding invitation, my garter and my groom's boutonniere all put into my display. I chose a 16 X 20 display with a dome top. I also had Catherine arrange for my wedding dress and veil to be cleaned and preserved by a company called wedding gown preservation. This company has a great reputation and a fair price. Catherine works with them often. The morning after my wedding, Catherine came to my venue and picked up my bouquet/boutonniere and my dress and veil, as our venue was very close to her shop, in Redondo Beach. This was so helpful and convenient, as we went on our honeymoon the next day. Catherine took care of everything for the dress preservation for me, I just had to wait to get the final product delivered back to me at home, which turned out great! Regarding the preservation display, Catherine took her time to save my flowers and make them look so lovely and like they did on my wedding day. We had another meeting after our honeymoon to discuss the final layout. The most important part was that she had my flowers as soon as possible, to preserve them. Once we agreed upon the final layout, she did her work and then we were ready for pickup! The display itself is very light and hangs on our wall perfectly! The whole process took a few months with our multiple meetings but the wait is not bad at all. My husband and I are so pleased with the final product, and thankful to Catherine for her work with us. My biggest regret in wedding planning is not hiring Josy as my first vendor. I am a bride on a…read morebudget and didn't believe that I have the money to hire a wedding planner in my budget. Little that I know that the savings she has helped me with was more than her price. I was still blessed that I got the chance to work with her halfway through my wedding, by that point I had overpaid for my florist, didn't negotiate with the venue maximally and almost retain a DJ that I was not too crazy about. Josy is so generous with her time and smiles, she is so easy to work with and has found me vendors that is also easy to work with. Brides please do not do what I did, do not retain someone just because they are your family friend. Weddings are expensive and an unclear contract means you are at the mercy of your vendors. Finding the dress is the easiest and best part of wedding planning. Everything after that consist of the dull and scary chore of reading contracts and making sure you are not had by your vendors. Josy renegotiate the contract with my venue, found me a new florist at half the price, found a cheaper and nicer DJ, found me a lighting and decoration guys and got me all this extra stuff ; she drove to every meeting with vendors, read the contract and even negotiate with them. Not to mention she is generous with her time and hugs -trust me you need it after a while. She drove with me to downtown LA and came up with saving tips during my florist meeting. She also took me to the wholesaler and we found everything under the sun. she also stop me from buying certain things downtown since she could get it cheaper elsewhere. I wished she could help organize my life too and read all of my other contracts =) . I love Josy and I think she deserves 10 stars for saving me from unscrupulous vendors.
