I just had a lengthy phone conversation with Kyle - the owner - about some honey bees that were hanging around a tree in my backyard but had not made a hive. He patiently counseled me on how to safely and humanely redirect these bees away from a high traffic area so we avoided any run-ins. He knew at the beginning of the call that it wouldn't result in a booked job and he would not be making any money out of this situation. Nevertheless, without charging me one red cent, he counseled and educated me on bees and what to do in the future. There are a lot of companies - like pest control outfits - out there who might charge less because they don't safely remove bees - they just kill them and they harm the natural environment in the process with devastating consequences. Safely removing honey bees - which are the bedrock of food agriculture in this country - is a time consuming and costly process. Kyle manages bee hives at one of our neighbor's properties. When our neighbor mentioned the price, we found it was a quarter of what we'd been quoted elsewhere. We had bees settle in a large upside down flowerpot in our yard for a couple of years but it was time for them to go. I was so happy to find a removal service that would relocate the hive instead of destroying the bees. Very quick response and appointment. Kyle did a good job and contacted us later to check on the bees that were not in the hive and still in the yard. He came back to get them too. Be sure to be inside when your bees are removed.
