This place is the bomb! With so little to choose from around in this small town, I am glad that I stumbled on this hidden gem a couple months ago. Craving a good home cooked meal, I stopped in and ordered the oxtails and rice, greens and mac and cheese. Let me tell you the oxtails were tender and were just like my mom used to make if not better. The greens were seasoned just right to where you get that "kick" of flavor at the end. There is a wait but for this kind of food I do not mind it and it is expected because I KNOW that I will get fresh cooked seasoned food not something that comes out in 10 minutes from a can! If you are impatient and cannot sit a spell and enjoy their southern hospitality then this not the place for you. Everything from the décor to the service is AWESOME. Drove a few hours just to eat at this restaurant. Saw it in the Rural Missouri publication and just had to try it, because the menu is so unique, and entrees change daily. The blackberry fried chicken wings were good. Fried corn and cucumbers and tomatoes were good sides. The cornbread was tasty. My friend had the country fried steak, and about 2 pounds of mashed potatoes. Portions are generous for sure. Everything packs a little heat, but not overdone. We had great dessert choices. We carried out strawberry ooey gooey cake (as requested by my boss to bring to her, lucked out that they had it today), German chocolate cheesecake and apple dapple cake. My husband and I got the pleasure of experiencing this amazing restaurant. The excellent hospitality, mouth-watering food, cozy Southern-style atmosphere are all wonderful --- the best part, the menu rotates so everyday there are new daily specials! Awesome experience, the best food you will eat in all of Missouri. I had the Kimchi burger and it was amazing. Thinking about the combination of ingredients is making my mouth watering as I type. The kimchi had just the right amount of flavor and the sauce they put on the bun gives that extra kick. The fries were crispy with some sort of seasoning that I couldn't get the recipe to. The food was good although the servings are quite large. Coming from Louisiana I definitely know southern cooking the food is worth 3-4 stars.The owner isn't the friendliest. She constantly talks about her customers and blasts them on her Facebook page. For this reason I had anxiety the whole vist at this establishment. It was not my choice on coming here. My wife, son and I have been visiting honey Chile since they've started. Their food is authentic, their service is great the staff are amazing !!!! we feel like family every time we show up. They know what we like to eat and they know what we like to drink. We never have to wait too long for our food. I cant even explain what my taste buds are feeling. I just had the Beer Braised Ribs with Chipotle Sweet potatoes. What a combination, it was delicious with the strawberry jalapeno lemonade. My wife had the catfish and it was cooked to perfection, the macaroni and cheese was soooooo creamy and full of flavor. The desserts are incredible, full of flavor and HUGE PORTIONS. This is the best restaurant in Pulaski county hands down! We have been waiting a long time for a good restaurant to come to this town and we finally have it! This place is AMAZING. They have true traditional southern food with a twist. You have to try the jalopeno Lemonade and the Krispy Kreme burger. My goodness they have Blueberry and Caramel Apple chicken. I live for the weekend, sine this is the only time they open so I can get them oxtails. read more
