The lemon poppyseed had a nice citrusy kick, a little more dense than the others, but in a good way. The Maine blueberry was the standout. Bursting with flavor and the glaze wasn't overly sugary. You could taste actual blueberry in every bite. They're definitely on the bigger side. Everything felt fresh and made with care. The shop itself is laid back, no rush, has that Massachusetts vibe to it. Prices are a little higher than your average donut shop, but the quality is there. Solid spot if you're into creative flavors that still feel homemade. Highly recommend.

Well not today!!! Everything about this place was perfect. First, we were greeted by the most fabulous members of the team. They were charming and funny and they loved on my daughter's service dog. Second, they gave the greatest advice on the donut offerings and all of their advice was GOLD! I have to admit that I haven't sunk my teeth into allllll of the donuts we bought yet, but so far I can tell you that the sour cream glazed and peanut Snickers are amazing amazing amazing. BUT the apple fritter actually made me cry. It is so good that I cannot put it into words. Crispy outside and tender inside with the perfect balance of sweetness. Okay first off.....because of Kane's, I learned I DO like donuts…read more I haven't been able to eat donuts since around 2007/8, due to first NCGS (and I used to cheat with that...but oddly, never with donuts) and then my Celiac Diagnosis (of which, I've never once slipped or cheated on.) In the years since 2013...finding a good GF donut is basically impossible. Enter our recent trip to Boston and Kanes. Now...I'm not saying I went twice. I'm also not saying I may have bought and eaten 10 donuts in less than two weeks, myself. But, I may have done that. The GF donuts BLEW me away. Apple cider and blueberry...yes please. Good old chocolate glazed..didn't even realize how much I missed you. They keep the GF donuts totally separate from the non GF...as well as cook/prep them separately. The best part? Their bacon, egg & cheese and sausage, egg & cheese sandwiches are SO good, and their coffee used to be really good too. I would literally take an extra 15-minute commute to work just to stop here. It was also my go-to whenever family visited and I wanted them to have good iced coffee instead of Dunkin' or Starbucks. The 2 stars I'm taking off are because of my recent visits. I went a little over a year without coming here, and both times I was helped by people I didn't recognize. The coffee just isn't the same. All three times, it took me forever to finish my coffee because it just didn't taste right. And NOW, the worst part... there was a fly on my cup lid during my last visit. I absolutely lost it LOL. I didn't even bother going back or calling because at that point, I was convinced it was simply the end of an era for me. It's still a cute little spot in the quieter part of Lynn. They have seating, street parking is usually available, and they sell juices, soda, coffee, sandwiches, muffins, snacks, and even beer. Definitely a nice hangout spot. I truly hope they switch things up soon, especially with the consistency of the drinks. Maybe they changed their coffee? Either way, please for the love of life, make sure there are ZERO bugs anywhere near people's drinks.
