I have been coming to Honey Fitz since they first opened. The owner and staff are all great! I love the warmth of the inside decor (much nicer looking than the bar that was here previously!). Plenty of seats and TVs. I do wish there were more hooks around the walls because it gets difficult to find a place for coats in the winter when standing, or when seated on round stools. Full bar with great selection, especially whiskeys. The signature cocktails I've tried are delicious. (Occasionally they switch up the offerings.) I was so glad when their kitchen opened. (Only comment is that my vegetarian friends would like more vegetarian options. There was a veg flatbread that is not longer on the menu.) This is a great place to watch Superbowl, Knicks, World Cup (Honey Fitz is NYC's unofficial headquarters and supporters bar for the Cape Verde national soccer team!) and there are usually food and/or drink specials for major events (like Superbowl and St Patrick's Day). It's also good for a large group. So happy to have them in the neighborhood! read more

We were planning to meet some friends here on Friday night, but after stepping inside we decided to immediately leave... They have live music on the weekends which is usually something we enjoy, however it was unbearably LOUD in this establishment... The worst part was that they were blasting the live music throughout the speakers found all over the place, so you literally could not escape the noise. Not a great environment for those of us who get overstimulated easily. As we were leaving, we noticed another group rushing out as quickly as we were and it seemed like they also couldn't deal with the noise level. Maybe I'll come back not on a weekend night, however I'm definitely staying away on Fridays and Saturdays for sure. read more

Had a wonderful time here. This spot used to be broadway station oh honey how its changed. This place was pretty packed for a Sunday at around 7p. They had live music at 8pm, the band was pretty cool. We decided to order some food. To my delight they had tater tots. Not any tater tots real creamy rich whipped potatoes were inside. I couldn't get enough. I wanted to eat like 50 more. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks which were bigger than my hand. $10 for the tots were worth it, mozzarella sticks were $13. ::bathroom alert:: The bathroom is downstairs. One stall had a bathroom that said hover because it isnt attached to the floor correctly. I'm just happy the bathroom didn't smell. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be drunk trying to use their facilities. Good job on the free tampons. The shots were pretty good and so was the whiskey coke. I could see myself coming back here for those golden tots! Definitely a must try if you go to this location. My photo does those tots no justice. They are a little pricey but well worth it. Honey Fitz is a small bar with multiple TVs so, it's good for watching games here. They're currently playing the NBA finals and World Cup games with sound! Bar service is good, and so is the food. They also do buckets of beers/seltzers. The Yugo Spritz was delish and so were the sliders and fries. The Guinness pours were also top tier. read more

Recently I've been traveling out of long island city for bars and my experience with honey fitz was fantastic I've had tator tots before but nothing compared to this. I have so much things to try from honey fitz that I definitely still need to experience I got the tator tots and mozzarella sticks and wow the quality of the tots fantastic. I've had so many bar foods in many bars but honestly this was one of the best and I'm dying to trying to taste the reset the service was friendly fast and on point and the ambulance seem. So chilled and relaxed and so cool and friendly. I was so happy I experience this bar and honestly I'm just trying to find another reason to visit but the tots and mozzarella sticks are probably the reason why I will return so I can't wait. I usually have more to say but I wasn't their for so long but my experience was the best and I will definitely do it again so if you are in the Astoria area please visit honey fitz you will not be let down read more

Sundays they have a roast which is a perfect balance for dinner, portions are right and they satisfied every craving I had. Washed it down with a pint of Guinness. Walking in on a Saturday afternoon, there was a small crowd, but still lots of places to take a seat. We sat at a table across from the bar and within a few minutes a waitress came by with menus. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and feels like a proper European pub. They pour an absolutely perfect pint of Guinness, it's cool and smooth and the best around. The namesake cocktail the Honey Spritz is light and refreshing. The menu has some great pub classics. We started with the scotch egg. Wonderfully crispy on the outside with a lovely jammy egg on the inside, it was delicious. We then went for the burgers on the menu. The regular burger is a hefty beef patty with lettuce and tomato and Irish Cheddar. The other is a double patty smash burger with grilled onions and melty cheese. Both were savory and scrumptious. Each served with steak fries, it made for a lovely lunch. Honey Fitz is a great place to grab a drink on your own or catch up with friends. read more

I stuck with my standard Tito and club soda. The lighting is a little dark but good vibe. Prices are reasonable. The service was excellent. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was fresh. The bartender focused mostly on the right side of the bar so those of us on the left only got drinks if we explicitly called her over to order them because she wouldn't check/ask if we wanted something else, even with clearly empty glasses. I went here for their Friday lunch special. For $15 you can choose a meal, and either a glass of house red/white wine, or a beer. What a deal! I got their ham & cheese toastie (it usually comes with soup but I subbed for fries), and a glass of house red. The sandwich & fries were soo good! I definitely want to try their smash burger at some point. The server was nice and attentive. I absolutely love the interior, the dark green and wood looks so beautiful! I admit, I still love Sanfords but they now have a major competition next door and based on my experience, I'm sure they will give them a run for their money. First, this place's kitchen stays open until at least 2am which a lot of Astoria restaurants refuse to do. I sometimes get out of work at odd hours and I need to eat actual meal aside from fast foods before heading home. This could be the answer. This location used to be a dive sports bar (clearly under a different ownership) and my jaw dropped when I walked in. Major upgrade in terms of decor, music choice and ambiance. Definitely fit for post 2020s vibe. Bar's drink selection is extensive, I got chicken sandwich this time which was great. Looking forward to trying other items. read more

Came here a few weeks ago with some friends for an early evening get together. We were a group of 6 and the seating is a bit off especially if you are looking to get food, we chose one of the lower tables in the back. The waitress was very nice and gave us some time to look over the menu. We started with some drinks as we were waiting for the rest of our party, one hiccup was that the online menu had not been updated and one person wanted a drink they had seen online and the waitress said they could not make it. She ended up ordering something else which she said was very sweet but good. I had one of the signature drinks as well, I can't remember what it was but it was too sweet for me so I switched to high noons. I had the cottage pie croquets and they were very good, I ended up sharing with my friend who got the sliders which were good but very basic, they definitely needed some more flavor or some sauce on them. The waitress was attentive and at one point I was brought the wrong drink which she apologized for and I told her it was fine and I would drink that one as it was similar to what I was having. She ended up bringing me another drink and said it was on the house which I thought was nice. The price of the bill for what we had was fairly reasonable and it was starting to get more crowded so we left. I would definitely come back another time. read more

My cuz told me about this cool euro pub in Astoria as it's his place for weekday lunch stop for his fav of grilled ham and cheese with fries . It's my turn to see what's up and he is right about this place , it's like being in Europe with it's wood interior decor and seating set up . My friend and I went to Honey Frizz for a drink and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. We ordered the Lavender Haze cocktail, but it was overly sweet with a strange taste that made it undrinkable. Trying not to be rude, I ordered another drink called Spill the Tea, but it tasted like pure whiskey--nothing close to a cocktail. The server noticed we barely touched our drinks but didn't bother to ask if something was wrong. When the second drink arrived, he simply placed it down without saying anything. My friend politely returned it, explaining that we really didn't like it. What was most shocking is that, despite returning the drink and clearly not enjoying our experience, we were still charged for it. The server didn't apologize or try to make it right, just said I'd have to speak with the owner about a refund. I've never been to a place where the cocktails were so bad that I had to pay for something I returned without even an apology. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression, and I wouldn't recommend Honey Frizz based on this visit. read more
