Dutch Kills is one of my fav speakeasy, cocktail bars in the city. Their cocktails have been consistently delicious since 2016. I love how dimly lit the bar is, it's cozy and intimate and is definitely a great spot for date night. I've enjoyed all of the food collabs they've done throughout the years. Dutch Kills is always on the top of my list when I am in the mood for great cocktails and top notch bites.

We came on a saturday night and were able to get a table for 4 without resys. They have nice cocktail menu but my fave was let the bartender decide. They asked me a few questions and they made me a cocktail that was perfect for what I was craving that night.

A cool little hidden spot with speakeasy vibes. When you walk in there are old wooden booths mounted to the walls. If you walk all the way to the back you will be greeted by a long bar with some stool seating. Recently I stopped in with some coworkers for happy hour drinks before dinner at Red Sorghum. Will definitely be back!

It's a little too dark for a quick Saturday night snack but it works. Bathrooms are lit well with public school knobs and there is a desi snack supply with affordable $5 chat patti snack mix. I had their non alcoholic hot coco and it was this tasty not sweet mix of some kind of cinnamon minty chocolate syrup, very soothing and made in house. My other friends also enjoyed their drinks!

A cute speakeasy with amazing drinks! Love the moody vibe and vintage decor. They also offer small bites. We ordered the Hazy Memory and Second Fiddle. Both delicious!

My friend and I came here right when they opened on a weeknight. They have a few tables outside, which is nice, but we decided to sit inside. When you first walk in, it's very dimly lit with plush booths on either side and then the space opens up to the bar which lets in a lot more light. We decided to sit at the bar and we were delighted that they had a jukebox machine. The bartender was super friendly and walked us through the menu, as it was our first time here. We ordered the quick fix and the ladybug and both were wonderful. I'd definitely come back here again!

Great vibes and amazing drinks! Dutch Kills is one of my go-to cocktail bars in the neighborhood. The space has two floors and is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Also super easy to walk in and get a table without a wait, even on weekend nights.

Where else to end the evening with a night cap then at Dutch Kills. Parking is atrocious no matter what you do here so you're best off just walking from wherever you are. Even if it's from Flushing (half kidding). Dutch Kills is one of those places where you feel like everyone knows your name. But you can't just get a beer here. The cocktails are where it's at. And with an ever revolving menu of fun and unique cocktails, you're sure to find something you like. I was boring on my most recent visit and asked for my usual old fashioned. It was exactly what I needed to end the evening and made to perfection. Going to keep a look out at their calendar as their music lineup looks dope. They have live bands and DJs featured throughout the month. This is such an awesome spot for LIC to have. You just gotta look for that door, go through and you'll see what I'm taking about.

I visited Dutch Kills for some evening cocktails during my trip to NY and had a great experience! The low light atmosphere this place gives off great vibes with a full bar to make pretty much any cocktail you could ask for. Dutch Kills makes a mean Old Fashioned that went down so easy. If I ever find myself back in this part of the city for travel, I'd definitely be back!

Came out to support a friends band and had a blast! This place puts out some serious mixed drinks that are made perfectly. Dutch kills is a great place. It's furnished nicely, dimly lit, styled appropriately, and not too loud. The staff here are truly artisans in drink making. A perfect date not spot. Try them out!

Came here on a Saturday evening. Cocktails are very good. My favorite was the Mai Tai (not in the menu). Pretty chill and laid back atmosphere. The service could have been better, but I think there was only one waitress for the entirety of the upstairs.

Louis and company treated us to such a wonderful time on Wednesday evening that we immediately made a reservation for Saturday (the Knicks victory did not hurt). The food is phenomenal -- absolutely loved the tagliatelle ala fungi and the orchiette with sausage, though everything was amazing. Do not leave without getting the bread pudding (and I'm not a dessert person at all). The service is absolutely aces. I can't believe how wonderful everyone was to a large group of scatterbrained (and rowdy) basketball fans. Cannot recommend a game-watching spot more highly -- rather than throw elbows in a sweaty bar, enjoy some delicious wine and pasta in a lovely, comfortable space (still plenty celebratory). I'll finish by saying that a week ago, before I went to Altamirano's and met Louis, the Knicks were not NBA champions. After I went to Altamirano's and met Louis, the Knicks ARE NBA champions -- coincidence? I think not!

I went to this Italian restaurant with one of the many groups I attend dinners with. The staff was…read morefriendly, and the atmosphere was nice, with plenty of people inside along with our large group. The menu isn't the largest, but they gave a long list of specials on a separate menu. The specials don't have their price listed, which made it a bit awkward ordering, as I asked about a bunch of the main dishes, which were all apparently $50 to $60. In terms of drinks, we split a large selection of BYOB as per the group. I decided to go with an appetizer and pasta. However, in retrospect, I probably should have gotten the Branzino Alla Livornese, or another fish dish as my main dish, or skipped the appetizer entirely and ordered one of the expensive fish dishes. My appetizer was the pretty good Polpette for $14, listed as homemade meatballs, tomato sauce, and shaved parmesan cheese. This came with several small soft meatballs with a decently flavored tomato sauce. I slightly prefer other spots, which gave larger meatballs as they have more texture, but they were fine, and the number of them makes it so you can split this dish. This was good enough. My main dish, rather regrettably, was the $26.95 Tagliatelle Ai Funghi with shiitake, cremini, portobello, oysters, and marsala wine. The portion was decent, and the pasta was decently cooked, though slightly soft for my liking. There was a good amount of mushrooms, which paired well with the very typical wine sauce, but there was another major issue with said sauce. The dish contained many sprigs of charred aromatics mixed among the sauce and mushrooms, which were presumably thyme, judging by the earthy aftertaste. The charred pieces overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the sauce and the pasta, also having a very unappetizing texture. It wasn't like it was just large pieces that could be easily picked out, so I occasionally got an overly earthy and bitter bite. I would have brought this up with the waitstaff, but they were very overwhelmed, so eventually I stopped eating. This place had friendly staff, and many other dishes looked tasty. However, I didn't have the best dining experience.

The one thing that stood out for us was how the staff and patrons all interacted like a family. The wait staff had a true camaraderie and seemed to interact with each other like an well-oiled machine who truly cared about their jobs, the patrons, and one another! How refreshing. As for drinks and food, you likely can't go wrong with any of their menu selections. "Must try" items include the Lemon Dahl -- a.k.a. yellow lentils (trust me; get this) -- the Chicken Tikka, and Seekh Kabab (ground lamb). But every dish we saw come out to nearby tables looked yummy!! I can't wait to go back and try even more dishes! The interior is eclectic and feels cozy! There were some heavy hors d'oeuvres which included your tropical charcuterie options, fried calamari and artichoke, and mini arancini. I must say, that arancini was amaaaaaazing. I didn't want to be greedy so I only had two, and I'm still kicking myself for being so modest. They were worth the calories. Luciano was the main server for the mixer and recommended a white wine that I cannot remember. I want to thank him as I frequently get migraines afterwards and even though I had three glasses, I woke up feeling fine. My colleagues and I stayed for dinner and Luciano was our server (yay!). He was so charismatic and attentive during our meal. I ended up trying the l'hamburger which was made with rib tips, while most of my team went for the steak. The burger was probably one of the best that I've had - there was so much flavor and it was really moist. Also, it was the perfect size. I left feeling satisfied, but not overwhelmed or heavy. The fries weren't really fries, though. They were potato wedges, and they didn't really add much to the meal. I didn't finish them. Although we opted out of desert, Luciano brought out complementary tiramisu and a slice of hazelnut cake for the table to share. I definitely enjoyed my experience.

It's easy to hit both in an afternoon because they're around the corner from each other. They're both elevated in every way but have a real residential feel to them. Our beautiful wives had the idea to find a nice place to grab an afternoon snack and cocktail and decided on trying out the Mark Bar first They were able to score bar seats so we had the perfect spot for afternoon fun. The coolest thing about the Mark Bar was something we've never seen in a bar. Many had their dogs with them in the bar. It was a nice treat for us since we love pups. Every designer breed you can imagine was enjoying the beautiful space with their people. Another nice touch was the gourmet hot chocolate and chili dog cart they had stationed on the sidewalk outside next to the hotel entrance. We regrettably passed on the chili dog, but had their prize winning hot cocoa. So good!!! The Mark Bar is chic and warm. It oozes stylish and loungy. We struck up a number of friendly discussions with folks around us when one of our crew thought they lost their phone at the bar. Everyone dropped what they were doing to help us look for it. Good thing she found it in her back pocket. Of course the people watching on the Upper East Side is spectacular and it didn't disappoint. Everyone was as friendly as they were dressed to the nines.
