Best Thai food I have ever had in my life!!! The spices and flavors, the noodles, the drinks, and just every entree was a super hit. Packed with exotic flavors, some dishes spicier than other but that's okay, tangy, bold, and delicious! The service was quick and friendly. The ambience was beautiful I loved their decor modern with an Asian twist. Prices are fair for the amount of food you receive. Highly recommend this resturaunt I feel in love with it and I would 100% go back again.
It's an exceptionally beautiful restaurant, full of ethnic charm and décor you can't miss once you step in. The space itself is very impressive. It's much larger than most of the Thai or Asian restaurants I've been to. We went on a Sunday evening for dinner, and it was very crowded. Some parties waited outside for open tables. Fortunately, our wait wasn't too bad. We ordered a variety of dishes, including moo krob (roasted pork belly), Tom Yum seafood hotpot, mii moo tod (fried pork noodle dish), beef pad si-iw, and Panang duck lychee. We also ordered a couple of plain vegetable dishes: boong fai dang (stir-fried water spinach), kana kana (chinese broccoli). We liked the Panang duck lychee a lot. The duck breast was nicely roasted, and it was so tender. And the panang red curry was very creamy and flavorful. We also liked the roasted pork. The skin was crispy and the belly meat was moist and tender. The Tom Yum seafood hotpot was wonderful. The shrimp, fish, and squid were fresh, and the tom yum broth was very savory with a delicate balance of sour, spicy, and sweet flavors. The beef pad si-iw was delicious also. The beef and noodles were nicely fried with a toasty flavor. The service was reasonably good. The food came out in a timely manner, considering how busy the place was. They offer a fantastic selection of Thai and Chinese food as well. I'm sure we'll come back and try other things on the menu.
Packed Thai restaurant and for a good reason. Soothr had some of the most rich and flavorful Thai dishes I managed to try in New York. Paired with some unique cocktails this was a fun vibe to go with friends and try a little bit of everything. For drinks I'd recommend the "all that jade" and for food highlights were the chicken khao soi, crab fried rice, and a pork belly dish. My friends also greatly enjoyed the steamed branzino and enjoyed the curry flavor from the Penang duck breast lychee curry. If you can snag a reservation at either location soothr is a fun spot for dinner with friends.
Soothr is a standout in my opinion. Every time I have eaten here, the food has been packed with flavor, and I am clearly not the only one who feels that way. My friends and I have all ended up making repeat visits on our own, and the sentiment is always the same. The Koong Karee and Karee Pu are two dishes I keep coming back to. Both are incredibly rich, creamy, and deeply flavorful. On my most recent visit, I tried the lychee duck curry and it was in a league of its own. The curry struck a perfect balance between spice, acidity, and sweetness, making every bite feel well thought out. At this point, I genuinely do not think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
I came to Soothr during Mother's Day weekend for a 7 PM reservation for four, and the restaurant was absolutely packed -- there were even people waiting outside. I'm not sure if it's always this busy or if it was because of the holiday weekend, but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time, especially on holidays. The decor was beautiful and had a really lively atmosphere, though the tables were extremely close together. At one point, my dad was chatting with the table next to us about what dishes to order because we were seated so close. Because of how busy they were, several entrees had already sold out by the time we ordered, and we actually had to revise our order twice. We ended up getting the Duck Rolls, Moo Dang Puff, Had Yai Chicken, Beef Pad See Ew, Stewed Beef & Roasted Vegetable Massamun Curry, Panang Duck Lychee Curry, and Mango Sundae. None of the dishes were overly spicy -- most either had no spice or just a slight kick. One thing to note: Soothr does not allow spice level customization or protein substitutions (for example, swapping chicken instead of shrimp). Despite the kitchen running out of items, our waitress was incredibly sweet and apologetic every time she had to come back and tell us something was unavailable. At the end of the meal, she even brought us an order of the Moo Krob Prik Pao on the house as an apology, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, every dish we tried was delicious, and I would definitely come back. I just wish there was a little more flexibility with spice levels and ingredient substitutions.
When this opened several months ago, my co-workers kept mentioning it but it always escaped my mind when I was thinking of food. Finally, one day a colleague and I came here for lunch and I was kicking myself for waiting so long to try it. The food I had (shrimp pad Thai) was really good and the lunch special was a great deal. It came with dumplings and a drink and was around $20. The team who works there are super nice too. It's really a great spot and I think at dinner it must have a great vibe because the decor is really stylish and they had a terrific playlist while I was there for lunch.
Came to SOOTR with a party of 7 and ordered a massive spread so we could try as much as possible. Overall, the food quality was very strong, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was immersive. For appetizers, pretty much every single one was a hit. The shrimp donuts, duck rolls, hoi juhr, secret box, and fried tofu special were all excellent. The rice roll was also very good, though at $15 for a single roll it felt a bit overpriced. The standout mains for me were definitely the steamed branzino and the curry dishes. The branzino was incredibly smooth, silky, and delicately cooked. The tiger prawns in both the Khao Soi and tamarind dish were HUGE and cooked perfectly. The curries were deeply savory rather than overly sweet, and worked really well both with rice and the noodles underneath. The crab fried rice and Koong Karee were excellent. The Beef Pad See Ew was solid, though sweeter than I personally expected for the dish. Desserts were surprisingly well done too -- balanced flavors and not overwhelmingly sweet, which I appreciated. A few minor downsides: seating was pretty tight for our group, the chairs weren't the most comfortable, and the music was louder than I would've liked for conversation. That said, service was outstanding throughout the meal and the kitchen paced a huge order very well.
Came here with some coworkers. This was a while ago and we ordered so much food I definitely can't remember. But everything we ate was solid and slapped. Everything I tell you. They do close mid day for a team meeting type vibe but they don't rush to kick you out which was appreciated. Can't wait to come back here
Loved the Soothr in the city and this location was nothing short of my expectations. The duck was perfectly cooked, tender, and paired really well with the lychee curry. The Had Yai Chicken was a bit disappointing. The chicken was on the drier side and the skin was not very crispy. The ambiance was immaculate, with beautifully decorated walls and interior design. They also had a live DJ when we went on a Sunday afternoon.
Loved walking into the red south East Asian decor. Definitely recommend making reservations. This place was busy on a Monday night. The food here is amazing as are the drinks. We had the KHao soi prawn noodles-loved the thick curry sauce and the dried noodles. The prawns come fried with the head. The roasted duck is a must order and the complete the meal we ordered snow pea shoots. The cocktail and mocktail were both so vibrant. I ordered the Sakura mist and my friend ordered the Meihua.
Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! Soothr's star plate, the Khao Soi, is a must get. The chicken is moist and tender, the noodles perfectly al dente and crunchy, the sauce creamy and rich. I sometimes take home the extra sauce from the bowl and make another meal out of it with some extra noodles. The Steamed Branzino with Chili Lime is incredible. Creamy from the coconut milk, with a hint of sour from lime, and just a tad of heat from chili. It's pricey but this is one of the best dishes I've ever had with branzino. The fried chicken appetizer is perfect aside from I want more in the appetizer portion. Crunchy and clean, I'm a fried chicken fan so sharing is not negotiable. The decor transports you to a different place altogether. The last time I went the service was also incredible and memorable. There was a slight delay with my food and the waiter made sure I was happy in the end. I'd go back soon.
10/10 with literally no notes! The places itself is gorgeous! The food was incredible. The lychee duck curry was spicy but I wasn't mad about it. The specialty crab noodles were to die for! Not to be overlooked is the cucumber yuzu refresher. Looking forward to trying all their other noodle dishes and curry!!
I celebrated my birthday here with a large group (12 people) and did the prix fixe menu. From making the reservation to the day of, the service and communication were amazing. The staff was so accommodating throughout. Even with a prix fixe menu, they were able to work around some food allergies and were incredibly thorough about it. The food, drinks, and dessert were all delicious, and everyone at the table enjoyed it. Dinner was served family style, so we got to share and try a lot of dishes. Some of my favorites were the crab fried rice and the tom yum soup. Our waitress was exceptional, so sweet and attentive (unfortunately I forgot her name !). I'm so happy with the experience and glad I chose this restaurant. I'd definitely recommend Soothr for celebrating any special occasion! read more
Always coming back to Soothr for more! My favorite dish is definitely still the Panang Duck Lychee Curry. Recently tried the Tom Yom Hotpot, and really enjoyed the soup. There was a lot of seafood in it and really filling! read more
Probably not the most ideal way to experience Soothr, but ordered for delivery on a rainy Friday evening. The food came quickly, was well packaged to prevent any leaking, and was nice and hot. Ordered the Had Yai Chicken, Chicken Pad Ki Mao, Panang Duck Lychee Curry, Mango Delight Sticky Rice, Koko Thai Tea Snowy, and Thai Iced Tea. The fried Had Yai Chicken was juicy with a nice crispy thin skin. The accompanying sweet chili sauce added some extra flavor. I had the Panang Duck Lychee Curry. The duck meat was tender and not too fatty. I usually don't eat too much rice, but I couldn't stop spooning the rich, spicy Panang curry sauce over the rice that comes on the side. I even ate the okra and lychee that came in the sauce. It was one of the best Panang curry dishes that I've had. My SO had the chicken pad ki mao (he usually has this dish with beef, but you cannot make substitutions). The dish was spicy and flavorful, with chewy noodles and tender chicken. The drinks we ordered help to temper the spiciness of our dishes. The Koko Thai Tea Snowy (Thai Iced tea blended with coconut water) came with the snowy cheese cloud part packaged separately so you could add it to the top once you received your delivery. Refreshing and sweet, but not cloyingly sweet. My SO enjoyed his Thai iced tea. I took a sip of his and found it to be sweeter than mine, but not excessively so. The mango sticky rice was delicious. The coconut cream and the crunchy golden mung beans came in separate small containers. I sprinkled the mung beans over the rice and poured the sweet coconut cream on top of the sweet sticky rice and mango. It's a simple but decadent dessert, and a perfect end to a wonderful meal. I would love to try some of the other dishes in person. If the food came out this good as delivery, I can imagine how much better the experience would be in the restaurant. read more

TLDR: More comfy than the original, very family-friendly and super tasty. Hoi Johr was really good, khao soi great and the moo krob fried rice was insane. I had first tried the original Soothr location which is much tighter. It's been awhile but figured let's try the LIC location, glad we did. We have a newborn and they were incredibly accommodating and the decor inside is very cool. Food-wise, we got the hoi johr and chive pancake. Both are larger size pieces than most versions I've tried. The tofu skin was crispy, the pork, shrimp and crab filling was plump. The chive pancake was a crispy cube with a softer almost more gooey texture than most. For mains we got the mock duck jungle curry, the tiger shrimp khao soi (which is limited) and the moo krob fried rice. Mock duck had a good texture and good flavor. The khao soi was great, the creamy and rich coconut broth. The shallots and crispy noodles along with these massive prawns. The moo krob fried rice though was great. Definitely not for you if you can't handle spicy food but if you can - wow wow wow. So much flavor in each grain, savory and SPICY. The pork belly is crispy but juicy on the meat and just so painfully delicious. We grabbed the sticky rice mango sundae for dessert. Definitely will be part of our rotation for places we frequent. read more
This LIC location is very spacious with multiple different dining rooms and a bar. It's beautifully decorated inside and had live music when we went on a Tuesday night. Food wise, everything here is delicious. They do everything well from the classics like Pad See Ew to their specialties like the Ba Mii Ka Moo (braised pork leg - was sooo tender)! Other standout dishes were the pork jowl, chive cakes and beef green curry. Also, don't forget the mango sticky rice and lychee sorbet for dessert! Service here was also friendly and fast! read more
I hadn't actually tried the OG location but I will say that this lives up to the hype! the shrimp donuts and duck curry were some of the most delicious thai dishes i've had in the city! was able to walk in on a sunday but felt like I got lucky so def recommend making a res if you can. read more

We had an amazing time at Soothr this evening! I've loved the EV location but this was my first time in LIC checking it out and I thought it was fantastic. The highlights were definitely the amazing service (shoutout to our AMAZING server Tae who made the evening so special), curry, drinks, and pork puffs. The ambience is elevated and very classy and they make birthday celebrations so fun too. My only gripe was the fact that if you're a party over 8, each person has a $75 minimum. I've absolutely heard of a mandatory 20% tip on large parties, and am fine with that always, but the minimum felt a bit strange to me and was difficult for our party to hit. I wish that weren't a policy, but overall I'll be back (with a party under 8 lol) Lovely spot! read more

I have gone to their other location in Manhattan because I live in Harlem. I didn't know this was their second location which I found out when I asked the employee if they have another location. So first of all this restaurant is amazing, the decor is great. I felt like I was somewhere outside of NYC. Secondly it is very spacious and quite beautiful. Thirdly the food was amazing, really good and the portions were generous. I went during so I got the lunch special which is a steal. I would definitely come back to this location. I loved it, the food was good, fresh and flavorful. I ordered the tom yum soup which was good, it was hot, had a lot of seafood but I didn't like the noodle they used for the soup. I would have preferred a thicker noodle for the soup or different noodle. The beef pad si ew was good, flavorful without having too much soy sauce, the right balance of flavors. The waiter was really nice and would check on us. We were never rushed, it was a great experience. read more
Def make a reservation for this place, it is booked and busy in there! The atmosphere was stunning and the service was fast! The food was delicious but very spicy (they warn you!) The servers were constantly coming around to fill our waters since it was so spicy! The only thing is the place is quite loud, meaning my friends and I felt like we were shouting to speak (which is hard to do when your mouth is on fire). Otherwise, I do recommend this place to take friends - especially ones visiting and looking for delish thai food! read more

Came here for lunch (right at opening) on a Saturday. Staff are friendly & welcoming when we first walked in. They were very attentive to our requests which wasn't much. The food, drinks and ambience were great. Ordered the cucumber yuzu Boba tea ( so refreshing, wish they offered free refills ;) but that's just me being greedy lol). As for food; duck noodles, moo krab (crispy pork belly) and the crab fried rice. I don't know which dish was my favorite because the flavors were on point. The crab fried rice has plenty of crab in it! So it's worth it. For dessert, you can never go wrong with the mango sticky rice. 10/10 would recommend and planning another day to go back! read more
If you can't get a seat at Soothr in Manhattan, it is probably way easier to get a reservation at this LIC location since it is much bigger and also seems to be less popular and busy than the Manhattan spot. I came here for brunch/lunch with friends on a Saturday and it was not immensely crowded. There were still some open tables around. I got the pad Thai and it was just ok. I have had better pad thai but the shrimp on the pad Thai was had a good flavor. I thought the noodles tasted a little bit bland. I would skip the pad thai and get some other dish. Service was pretty quick. The ambiance is quite nice since the interior is elegantly decorated. They have live jazz during one of the weekdays which I am sure helps elevate the atmosphere even more. read more
Came here for my birthday lunch last month and had a good meal overall. The restaurant is spacious with nice decor. We ordered the shrimp donut, chive cakes, crab meat noodles, duck roll, pork jowl salad, kana kana (vegetables), and branzino. My favorites were the shrimp donut and the pork jowl salad -- both were super flavorful. The branzino was very fresh. The crab meat noodles were good but a little bland compared to the other dishes. The only issue was the duck roll, which came out cold, not crispy and we had to send it back. Other than that, everything was solid and I'd definitely go back. read more
I am a huge fan of their original Manhattan location, so I was excited that they opened another location in LIC. The interior design and decor of their new restaurant is incredible. It feels super authentic and trendy, it's really an open space where you can feel the energy of the city, it really makes it a great place to take friends out and impress them! We honestly loved every dish and the cocktails were fantastic as always, you can tell that they put so much care and craft into everything they put out. Again, we loved every dish but if we had to pick, our favorite dish was definitely the Dungeness Crab Karee. The curry is rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced, with a pretty good amount of crab that feels indulgent without being overwhelming. We loved it so much we ordered extra rice and stuffed the crab with it to soak up all the sauce and umami. The shrimp pad thai was also a crowd pleaser, the flavor is incredible but again, not overpowering so it just keeps you wanting more and more, this one got devoured by the table quickly. Service was amazing as always, shoutout to Natcha who always makes us feel at home, she is THE best, Soothr is super lucky to have her! Soothr is pretty great and the service and food have been consistently good when I've gone here. I tried various dishes such as their Seafood Tom Yum Noodles ($23), Pak Boong Fai Dang ($15), Crab Fried Rice ($27), and Beef Pad Si ($21). Both times I'd order two entrees and a vegetable to share with a friend but the portion size seems to be on the smaller side because I left feeling still a little hungry each time. Their crab fried rice came with two sauces and the spicy one is particularly salty, but other one is delicious and a great addition to the fried rice. Good Thai restaurant with fantastic ambiance, good dishes, although at a higher price than most Thai spots. It's been a few months since they opened, but there's still a bit of hype surrounding this restaurant- you definitely need a reservation here unless you're okay with bar seating. Tables are a bit close if you're right by the entrance. Service is attentive and quick, although I did get the vibe that they were hoping to flip tables within an hour. I'm a big fan of Soothr and was thrilled when they opened one in my neighborhood. Walked in at around 6 PM on a Saturday and it was packed, but my boyfriend and I were able to grab bar seats. Hoi johr was great, and the Khao soi was just as good at the other location. Looking forward to returning with friends and ordering everything! read more

Was passing by when I recognized the name from Tiktok! They were on break so I returned at 5 and did a walk-in. There was a line and a short wait but it was worth it. Receptionist at the front door wasn't the most pleasant but we got seats at the bar and the waiter & bartender were nice. Restaurant is spacious and truly beautiful. I tried the steamed chicken and rice because it was on the sign outside lol. Not my usual go to meal at a thai restaurant but definitely something I've tried before. Pieces of the chicken were a bit chewy but the sauce made the meal a 8/10! A lot of people were getting drinks and eating curry - so definitely will come back for that! This was my second time at Soothr and I think it was better than the first! I love the LIC location, it is so spacious and has such a fun vibe. Our server, Oliver was so caring, thorough and gave such great recommendations! I had my heart set on the shrimp curry and Oliver gave the great suggestion of the Mii Moo Tod with crispy pork belly. This was my favorite dish of the night! In fact, I'm going to order it next time because it was so delicious! It was so well balanced with the spicy fish sauce, fresh with the lime and the crispy pork was fatty and delicious! Oliver was a star! for him! read more

I'm a long time Soothr customer at their East Village location, so when I heard about their bigger location in LIC we had to try!! Kris was our waiter and provided excellent service which is on par with the consistent Soothr experience. Everyone is the most attentive and friendly without it being overbearing. The place and the people just ooze stylish and welcoming. Duck noodles: 10/10. You can't go wrong. My usual go-to! Beef Pad si-iw: Another great dish that elevates a classic. Tom yum seafood noodles: My friend loved the broth! Mango sticky rice delight: A MUST! My death row dessert of choice. Adding the mango sorbet with the warm sticky rice was a genius touch. We got 2 mocktail drinks, the MeiHua (modeled after their alc rose quartz drink) and the ube dream, Zizi. Both were delicious with gorgeous presentation. Can't say enough good things. The space is split into different rooms, each with its own atmospheric energy that totally immerses the diners. Please go if you're in LIC!! read more

Pleaseeee get a reservation because this location gets PACKED! Service is great- very helpful and attentive. The offered a ton of suggestions that I loved which I really appreciated. Location of course is beautiful but you can tell that from the photos :) We ended up ordering the lychee duck dish and the pork belly fried rice, both sooooo good. For dessert the seasonal special was mango sticky rice- decent, but not the best I've ever had. The Dara Citrine cocktail was a standout though, super yummy! read more
Had a reservation for my anniversary dinner here with my fiancé and my expectations must've been super high because I was actually quite disappointed leaving. Starting off, the decor of this place was beautiful, once I saw how big and busy and nicely decorated this place was, I felt like I was going to enjoy everything here but honestly it was just okay. We started off with a specialty cocktail which my fiancé said he enjoyed. Then we moved on to the duck rolls which were good but mostly stuffed with wood ear mushrooms. I really enjoyed the sauce and the chili oil the gave us (we requested for something spicy to put into the sauce). Then we received the entrees, the Pak Boong Fai Dang was very enjoyable. The Tao Hu Prik Gluer was pretty plain so we dipped it in the sauce given to us for the duck rolls and some chili oil. The Ba Mii Pu could've been sooo good but my fiancé and I both felt like the Tim yum flavor was too muted making the noodles pretty boring. Then we also had the Chicken Khao So which he was the most excited about but I thought it was a little too sweet and didn't have the sweet and savory balance I was looking for. I also wanted to try one of their non alcoholic drinks so I got this coconut matcha drink which was just a cracked coconut that they added matcha to which was also okay. I think the coconut might not have been ripe enough? They gave me a spoon to have the coconut meat as well but the meat was so hard it was literally impossible to scoop out. SO happy they opened a second location in Queens. I've always wanted to try the Manhattan one, so when I saw this one opened, I knew I had to go. First of all, the decor is stunning. It's the perfect vibe: intimate but still spacious, super cozy, and just really beautiful overall. The whole place feels warm and elevated. Service was amazing and so fast, which we loved. Now the food... wow unreal. I went with my best friend and we were literally salivating over the menu because everything sounded so good. We started with the moo dang puffs and the sautéed fresh gailan (which comes in this insanely good soy glaze). Then we shared the chicken ki-mao noodles and the spicy braised spare ribs. Everything was absolutely delicious!! The ribs were especially flavorful, BUT just a heads up: the spice is no joke At one point both of our mouths were burning, but we still couldn't stop eating them because they were THAT good. For dessert, we shared the matcha waffle cup, also so good - just a perfect finisher. We also had the Rose Quartz cocktail and it was probably one of the best cocktails I've had in awhile! read more
