I never knew a bar was in this area to be honest. I remember Queens plaza being all strip clubs and bodegas back in the day. This place is a wonderful hole in the wall. The bartenders were very pretty. When we walked in spanish music was blasting, you know I was ready and dancing. Did I mention we walked in on bad bunny music!!!!! We ordered special shots and modelo. It was a pricey tequila. For 3 people it was $72!!!! I feel like the name of the place fits the bar. It was the first of many for the night. Convenient location at a major transfer point for the bus/train in queens plaza south. Bartenders are definitely attractive and are friendly and attentive. I generally stop in around 6pm on the commute home from. The bar / finger food is bar quality . Other reviews may be a little harsh. Gratuity and service charges are added a lot of places in nyc post covid. They are not the only one's. This could be ok for some but I will tell you why it was not for us. The music was unbelievably loud, keep in mind we had just been to a concert so this should not have bothered us and the girl trying to take our drink order had a hard time because of the volume. There were two beautiful girls "working "( I use that term lightly) behind the bar. They were clearly interested in the people sitting at the bar and not the customers at the tables. We finished our drinks and just wanted to leave but could not get anyone's attention even though the place is cover than a shoe box. We calculated the cost ourselves and left the charge and a healthy tip on the table. We watched her run around from her side of the bar to be sure we left enough which we found ironic. I wish we could leave a review on the food but we were not able to eat. It seems like it might be a nice little dive bar for the right person not caring about service. Bartenders were amazing, food was surprisingly good. Although customer service was pleasant I did not enjoy the uneasy feeling of sitting in a dive bar while homeless lingered about yelling obscenities at fellow patrons. I think this place may require some kind of security due to the high amount of homeless people wandering about the area. I also noticed that majority of the night I saw inebriated customers yelling and arguing with the bartenders about pricing. I have to repeat that I think security is necessary at this location for the safety of not only the clientele but also the employees. read more

Great dive bar for a quick drink or a place to chill to watch the game. They have a great variety of drinks on tap and the staff is super nice. It's a great place to meet a Tinder date - no frills, no assumptions, just drinks, and the music is low so you can actually get to know each other. First Stop is a new bar occupying the space of what used to be Queens & Paupers (which closed its doors a few months ago apparently). I prefer first Stop. It's a small bar with a big menu of items. They serve breakfast ALL DAY by the way. I like the frittata, OR, when I want lunch food, the turkey burger. They don't have many tables, but rather table tops & stools. And they have a long bar where you can sit and drink/eat. So it's really a place to chill, grab some casual (good) eats and a few drinks. The service is solid too. No complaints there. The people behind the counter are always very sweet. I'm pretty comfortable here both w friends and by myself. Oh, and there's a jukebox!!! I love to jam out to old 90s hits and enjoy a gin & tonic. Horrible place to visit first of all its not a real bar there's no beers on tap, second it's no place to take your family or anyone because there's only girls bartenders and they're all half naked very uncomfortable, third the place is ran horrible I sat there for 20 minutes before I got any help after I finished my first beer, all they play is Spanish music and super loud to the point you can't have a conversation with anyone. I went hereto grab a drink after work. I always pass it and have never gone in. I ordered a beer and an empanada special. I was informed the beer I ordered, a Brooklyn lager wasn't a part of the special. Fine, I said I'll just have this beer, that's not on the special and two empanadas. I ask for the check prior to being served the food because I was sitting at the bar, and it says $7 Brooklyn lager $13 empanada special. I calmy asked the bartender how much is each individual empanada. She replied $4 each for a total of $8. I said that's fine, please charge me for the beer and the empanadas. The bartender that I should be charged for the special because that's what I ordered. I told her then and I told her again, I don't want a second drink. I'm happy to pay for the full price of my drink and the empanadas, for a total of $15. Nope, she said I had to pay for a second beer that wasn't served to me, because THAT'S HOW SHE PUT IT IN THE COMPUTER. It escalated until I eventually paid for my beer and tip and walked out. They have one of those silly signs that the bartender is always right, but this is the first place I've been to, where they actually mean it. Everything about this bar is just below average. It's really a shame because LIC needs a decent sports bar. The owner really missed the boat in everything he is going for. It's half sports bar, half Latin disco, half dive bar... regardless of how you would classify it, everything is just bad. No one on the staff knows how to make a drink. The shot glasses are so small I would estimate three shots here are equivalent to one at any other bar. Staff barely speaks English. The food reminds me of what would be served at a free outdoor bbq event put on by the local town council. They have no beers on tap- just bottles with varying expiration dates (go for the Coronas, they seem to move the fastest). All of this makes it just a sub par place, but the thing that really destroys the place is the super creepy owner. Always parading out Spanish girls wearing next to nothing and speaking about one word of English. Owner spends his time walking around, kissing, touching, whispering, etc. Really none of my business but is distractingly uncomfortable to just sit at the bar with this guy prowling around.
