The cashier that took our order wasn't very friendly, and got my drink order wrong. When I came back up, she added the flavors. I ordered the avocado toast, and couldn't help but notice the cashier helping another customer ordering the same thing asked what kind of bread and side. I wasn't asked anything so ended up with chips. Mine was also missing the balsamic drizzle which would have made a big difference as the avocado was lacking seasoning, but I didn't want to go back up a second time. Husband's Fury panini was good but petite. The raspberry pastry was flaky and delicious, with the perfect ratio of filling.

Cadbury & Baklava in a drink?!? Yes! Thanks to the staff patiently explaining the drinks to me. Cool relax vibe with outside house music. It did not disappoint. Thank you!

Cool place to chill and has good coffee and food, cool art every month and always friendly staff.

Lovely independent coffee shop, delicious hot and cold coffee drinks. It's much better than Starbucks, which is the only other coffee choice nearby. Spacious, sunny interior, good WiFi, comfortable and varied choices in seating. Plenty of parking, it's in a strip mall that doesn't have much other traffic. Excellent service.

The White mocha latte and veggie panini were great. Nice cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. I don't mind driving several towns over for a nice place like this. I also saw a sign that they have live music.

Great cold brew and hot teas. The drive-thru is super quick, and their apple dapple cake is incredible. Highly recommend.

They also make custom cakes and other baked items. A cool day called for a coffee. If hanging out in this lakeside town, it's better to go here than some chain coffee place. The prices aren't that bad for an independent business like this. Inside there's a couple tables and a couch. Space is limited but charm isn't. I got a Cinnamon Sugar Latte, which was one of the seasonal coffees. It's $6 for a regular. This had plenty of spice and sweetness along with some vanilla. Best place in town to get coffee. It feels a lot like being in someone's living room. There's also pastries that you can get at the counter or you can make an order for cakes or whatever.

I got a box of assorted pastries to bring home and each one was incredible. My kids didn't like any of them... but ambrosia won me over. This is a refined place. The flavors are classic and textures are notable. Rich dark chocolate, real strawberry cream, flaky and intentionally packed with texture. No candy flavors or artificial stuff. Each item seemed like it was expertly crafted from a 150 year old recipe. This is a trek for me, and I'd happily make a morning trip to come here again.

I love that it is light, rich, but not overly sweet. I am a huge fan of chocolate mousse in cake and they have perfected it. And to top it off with the chocolate ganache... YUM! I told my husband it's probably the best birthday cake I've had and I hope he remembers that for next year. We also picked up some almond croissants and chocolate croissants and both were delish... to me they were a bit on the smaller side though. The cafe is really cute and clean with a sitting area. We came an hour before closing, so options were limited but they do have a big display case and would love to go back and check out what else they have to offer. I am a fan of flourless cake- so hoping to get to try a slice the next visit.

There's seating inside, and I appreciated that the tables weren't packed too closely together. It felt comfortable and not overcrowded. They had about 7-8 varieties of pączki to choose from. I grabbed a dozen rose (a classic go-to for me) and also tried the limoncello and the caramel bacon. The limoncello was really good--the custard lemon filling inside was flavorful and smooth. The rose was delicious, just how it should be. The caramel bacon was something new for me; it had that savory-sweet combo that's definitely a specific taste. Not for everyone, but interesting to try! Overall, a solid spot to grab pączki for Fat Tuesday.

Sadly, Honey Hill is far enough away from where I live that I wouldn't drive all the way their just to get coffee, but when I'm inevitably in Wauconda again soon, I will definitely stop by. The place itself is cute inside, and they even have local artists' paintings for sale on their wall. I love when local businesses support local entrepreneurs and artists. When we came, we sat on the little patio outside because it was a gorgeous day. They have a few tables set up right beside the building. When it comes to the menu, there are TONS to choose from! They also don't only have coffee, which is a plus because my husband isn't a coffee fan. They offer lemonade, frozen lemonade, non-coffee milkshake type drinks, steamed apple cider, hot chocolate, and teas. They also have food choices, such as multiple flavors of scones and cake slices. Admittedly, the day we came, the service could have been better. The young girl made the drinks really well, but she wasn't too friendly. She might have been having a bad day or something, which is understandable, but I wish she was a bit more personable. Overall, I highly recommend Honey Hill, and the location is perfect because it's in the downtown area of town, so there are plenty of stores around to pop in and out of!
