Decided to go on a Costco run but wanted to grab a coffee and pastry of some kind. This is where Stompin' Grounds comes into the picture. The place has plenty of parking. They were pretty busy when we walked in. Plenty of seating, looks very cozy. We were welcomed when we were next to place our order We decided on: Garden Rocket Croissant Sandwich, Cranberry Orange Scone, Salted Hazelnut Latte and Frosted Gingerbread Hot Latte. We split the sandwich and scone. The sandwich was good. The croissant was crispy and fluffy. I loved the arugula as it gave a really nice taste to the egg and provolone. My only grip was it was really small and we were splitting it - I ate it in 2 1/2 bites. The scone was my favorite, it was baked with a nice outside crust and very fluffy/moist on the inside. I wish I had it all to myself. As for the coffees: both were delicious. I was told the hazelnut was not prominent but still good. The white mocha in my Ginger Bread Latte was really good. I loved the White Mocha. Overall I loved the experience. I would return but not get the sandwich as I would like the sandwich to be a little bit bigger. Everything tasted good and I'd like to try the lunch.

Busy busy busy! But still great service. Parking was tight on Monday morning before Christmas Eve! We enjoyed a matcha latte- not as sweet as we typically like it, but they added extra vanilla syrup without a question. I also enjoyed the lavender fields latte! Cute interior with lots of seating and bar stools.

Such a cute little cafe that offers a great mix of drinks and little bites. They have ample seating for meetings and free WiFi. Came here for a business meeting and loved it. I ordered their iced matcha latte and it was fabulous. The chicken wrap was fresh and tasty. The servers wet nice, attentive and quick. The cafe is nestled right across the street from Breezewald Park and lake. Such a great add to the community

Stompin' Grounds Cafe's chai tea latte and scones are amazing. They need to jar or bottle their chai tea mix. It is truly the best I have EVER had. I would order a pallet of it and enjoy a chai tea latte more often. This is a must visit gem in the heart of Downtown Lake Zurich. Stop by sometime. You will not be disappointed.

I saw this ADORABLE coffee shop come up on a friends Facebook story the other day and once I looked at the menu, I knew I had to go! I have a friend visiting from Michigan and we decided to go before our tattoo appointment. Let me tell you... I will be going here every chance I get! From the moment I walked in I fell in love with it! Their little shop section is FILLED with all the kinds of things I love! From coffee mugs, to kitchen towels, scented soaps and soaks and all kinds of other goodies! The staff is super friendly and attentive. The Cafe itself is super relaxing and just the right size. We only had coffee today, but plan to go back before she leaves on Sunday! Check the pictures for our drinks and some of the cute finds! Definitely check them out for some awesome coffee and of course to support a local small business!

Since I was jogging around Lake Zurich, I decided I needed to have Stomping Grounds cafe brewed chai tea. It's a cute coffee shop. What's awesome is when I ask for almond milk (non-dairy beverages), I am asked sweetened or unsweetened!! Yeah!!!! I can get what I want!!! Also, hot or iced? Yeah, I get what I want. Awesomeness! Today I decided to try the chocolate scone. I got here early enough for a great selection. Scones are locally sourced. I followed the recommendation for heat, and it did not disappoint me. My chai tea is flavorful with the kick of spice. No prepackaged concentrate used here.

Nice and cute coffee spot. It has a great selection of coffee - very tasty too. I also like their breakfast options. Try the açaí bowl. The little place has nice vibe and near the lake. It will make you feel like away from home for a bit - like a little stop during vacation.

Why does Long Grove always feel like some magical far away place when it's really much closer to me…read morethan most places I go? It's probably because of spots like this. When my yelp friends check-in places I always take a peek and add the interesting stuff to my massive and unorganized list of anything and everything I could ever want to try... this place popped up a few times, and I do love good pastries, so I had to make a trip. I say pastries but what really sold me was the pizza slice a buddy got, a savory excuse always helps. I got there before the dinner rush. I know that because it was calm when I got in line, though the line was full. When I left the place was crowded. There are actually 2 lines. One for savory and one for sweet. So like I said, I was here for that pizza slice... and I got it. I'm not sure if they make more throughout the day but there were just a few slices left that I could see. Score! But I do want to say that the more filling pasta dishes and such look AMAZING. I saw gorgonzola garlic bread and had to try that as well... and an arancini. Everything really looked so good, I wanted it all. It's a good thing I love bread because I ate a lot of it here! Great flavor and texture on the garlic bread, I love the little funk from the cheese. Arancini was fried up nicely and didn't retain excess oil. The slice is really good. It's a fair warning that it's about 90% bread, but I understand they make their own dough here and it shows. The crust is so crispy and airy, it's a nice experience. Next up, dessert. I grabbed a Nutella croissant and some gelato, both delicious! The gelato was rich and creamy. The croissant, which they fill to order with your choice of flavors, is another flex on how good their dough and bread baking skills are. Perfect texture, no notes. Would and will eat again. Amazing atmosphere that feels like a quick vacation, and outdoor tables perfect for the warm season. Friendly and inviting staff as well, they tried to sell me on the pear flavor gelato. Maybe next time. This is a not so hidden gem of a spot and a must try for bread lovers! I'll be back soon for pasta and more!

Most every dish was very dry or doughy. The cannoli's were fried too hard almost like egg rolls. We didn't realize till we got home that our daughter's dessert was missing after verifying three times with the staff what we ordered. If you're looking for Italian food skip this place. *** Almost forgot. Get rid of the young kids that are servers. They have no idea what they're doing. They seem very confused. Food was not brought out in a timely manner and Luke warm when we received it. Also re organize how you check out it can be very confusing with the impatient and hot headed customers that Dine there.
