I really love this coffee place. The ambiance is so cozy. I even loved their coffee flour. My best one is roasted lavender latte and honey lavender latte both cold and hot. It's a little little small coffee shop with cozy and comfortable seating. They typically have only two staff members one is the cashier another one is the barista but they are very quick. You will like the whole environment inside and outside the coffee shop. We also tried their blueberry muffin yesterday. It was also very fresh and yummy. I absolutely LOVE a great coffee shop, and this one did not disappoint. I am in the area for a wedding, staying a couple days and needed my espresso fix! The friendly pair of ladies behind the counter served up some delicious pastries (apple fritter and almond croissant) and an even better drink ... drum roll... honey latte with lavender and pepper! A cute little coffee shop in historic downtown Long Grove. I only wish this place was around when I grew up here. They have all of the staples you would expect from a coffee shop and other items that are unique to them including the local staple and favorite- apple cider donuts from Apple Haus. I like trying the specialty coffees when we visit from Florida. We go out of our way to order coffee from here because it is delicious, service is friendly, the ambience is adorable, and I want to support small businesses in my historic hometown. My husband and I met a friend at Long Grove Coffee on a Saturday morning. We walked in at around 10:00 and it was pretty busy. My husband ordered a coffee with cream and I ordered a "gourmet hot chocolate". The "gourmet hot chocolate" was good but kind of weak. I wish the chocolate was bolder in flavor. Our cashier changed halfway through our order. We had to restart our order which caused some confusion. Fortunately our order was delivered correctly. The seating area is nice and big. We were able to sit and visit and enjoy our drinks for a while. The pastries and other food items are freshly baked. After staring at them, I decided that I need to come back to try them. Wanted to go for an impromptu coffee and pastry and decided to go to Long Grove Coffee as we've been looking for local coffee shops. The location is next to Long Grove Confectionery. It is a quick drive from our place. The parking is good but if it is a busy day, there might not be spaces. When we walked in there were a few customers sitting inside. There are indoor and outdoor seating and a lounging couch. As we were waiting for our order, a number of customers came in. The inside felt nice and cozy. The service was great and the baristas were very nice. We ordered a Snowdrift Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Macchiato and a Chocolate Croissant to share. They have two sizes and we both got the smaller size. The price was a good compared to the coffee chains. I really liked the taste of the my Caramel, I could taste the caramel and it had the perfect amount. The peppermint mocha could have used a bit more pep to the peppermint but it was not bad. The chocolate croissant was flaky and had the right amount of chocolate. Overall, the experience, price, coffee, food, and location were great. We would definitely come back! read more

I stopped in during the Apple fest. The place was hopping, given the fest, but it's a pretty good coffee place so I'll bet it's a popular place regardless. They had several specials for Apple Fest, including the Granny Lemonade that I chose. The lemonade was okay, and a shocking shade of green, and although coffee shops make drinks with a cup full of ice (which I don't like) and a couple ounces of liquid, this had zero ice... a few cubes would have been nice. I also bought a loaf of apple bread here and it was pretty good. Lots of apple and there was a ribbon of cinnamon weaving through the middle. Service was good, and their regular menu is adequate as well. It would be worth a stop on the way through town if you're looking for a hot beverage. read more

A delightful coffee shop located in the historic district of Long Grove, Illinois was just the right way to kick start our day as we headed home after a trip to Six Flags. It appeared that there were several tables of regulars, which is always nice to see, as it lets me know it's a vibrant part of the community. My daughter and I both order chais, but her's was an iced variety and was caramel apple flavored (I had a sip and it was delicious). I met a couple friends here a couple weeks ago and wish I knew of this place sooner. They are connected to Long Grove Confectionary and all the baked goods are made there. However, the baked goods are fresh daily and the hot drinks are delicious. I ordered the hot apple cider along with an apple muffin and apple bread. Both baked items were sugary which attracted bees to swarm me as I ate outside. They weren't overly sugary, but they were yummy! The hot cider was the perfect drink that morning as there was a brisk chill in the air, but it was so nice out that we had to sit outside in their wooden rocking chairs. Their coffee drinks looked and smelled wonderful as well. And the scenery is almost pastoral looking over the large grassy area in front of Corked, and the road that drifts off to the distance to the north. Almost serene and calming. Both of us were really satisfied with our drinks and received great customer service from the two folks working. This place is probably not good for a large group as it's a bit small. There are a few seating areas inside, maybe 6 or so areas, and they also have some outdoor seating. I hope to come back and work from here one day. I didn't have a chance to see the menu as I was rushed out of the store. Here's my beef, "Mask Required" sign posted on the door. Did I get kicked out for not wearing a mask? No! There were about a 1/2 dozen maskless customers already standing around and ordering. Not one worker asked any to mask up or leave the store. I got asked to leave because of a 4lb bald & elderly dog that was secured in a bag across my shoulder. I honestly didn't see a "no dogs" sign or I would've respected it. We were simply going to get our order & sit outside. I wasn't there parading the dog on a leash nor even took him from his carrier. The counter worker only noticed the dog's tennis ball sized head poking from the bag after a maskless customer commented how cute & tiny he was. Did I angrily demand all maskless customers wear a mask in a crowded store? No, I simply wore mine. My sister was dying for a coffee so she went back in. The coffee was so-so. If you're going to enforce one health code, enforce them all or don't bother. A 4lb bald dog in a secured carrier is surely no more a health risk than dozens of maskless customers in a small store during a festival. read more

The ambiance was wonderful with my mom and I who decided to try this place out for the first time. We arrived about 9:00am Saterday to the smells of coffee roasts and baked goods that surround the area. We enjoyed a bagel and an apple cinnamon donut between us, both of which were delicious. I also saw a community chalk board of musicians and artists that gather at the coffee house every so often. Maybe that's something to check out. I was in town visiting my family for two weeks and stopped in at least 10 times for an iced latte for myself and my mom. And for all of those that grew up going to the Long Grove Apple Haus, they serve their donuts! And better yet, they had the same plastic apple sippy cups that the Apple Haus served their apple Cider in.
