Before and after an eyebrow tint and wax, eyelash tint and lift, and an oxygen facial.

This place is absolutely adorable and Erin is very sweet and fun to work with. I am getting married this week so I went in for a facial, eye brow tint and wax, and an eyelash lift and tint. Amazing! I'm so happy with the results and can't wait for my big day! Thanks Erin!

The fact that she's hilarious & fun is a bonus. I had so many questions during the process and she was quick to answer all of them via her Instagram (@youbynatasha). The office is beautiful and everyone I've met there has been kind and funny. I've enjoyed each visit and can't wait to return for my next IPL.

I contemplated posting this review because the staff was so fun and kind. However as someone who…read morehas received many facials/lymphatic massages and visited many different spas, I wasn't sure what to make of my experience. I was in search for a lymphatic facial massage as my face often gets puffy and found lifted beauty and wellness online. When I initially booked the appointment it was for a total of 45 minutes for 170$. An hour before my appt time I receive an email saying that the appointment has been moved 20 minutes later and was shortened to a 25 minute appointment at the same cost. The facility is clean and very nice in the middle of madrona area. My skin was not prepped nor cleansed and product was applied directly to the skin without any prep. During the treatment the esthetician left midway to answer a phone call and kept mentioning another service they provide- a skin focused facial that would answer all of my skin needs, not the concern I was visiting the spa for. My appointment had started at 10:20 (time I walked into the building to check in) and at around 10:55 the aesthetician said we were done and I should get dressed. I received my receipt via email at 11:09. Post appointment, I didn't feel like the usual "de-puff" feeling I get when I get a lymphatic facial massage with other spas. I received a discount of 20% for being a new client (check their Yelp page) and was asked if I wanted to schedule the suggested skincare treatment. While I had a great experience getting to know the workers and facility, I don't know if I'll be back.

Then came Holiday Skincare and Eminence and Renae. I can actually go without makeup and not scare people. My discolorations and post acne marks are nearly faded and it's only been 3 months. That's right...no post facial purging. Hallelujah! Best of all this is an affordable treat and all products are organic. Feel good. Smell good. Look even better!

Renae has a soothing and easy-going manner, which immediately put me at ease. She explains what she is doing to your face as she is treating it, so no weird or shocking surprises when a new lotion or exfoliant is applied. The room is dim, which I LOVE, so it is easy to just turn into goo as she rubs your arms and shoulders while the Emminence products do their magic. I received a gift certificate for my birthday, and I have been coming here ever since. And yes, as another yelper pointed out, I don't feel judged for my bad habits here. That keeps me coming back for her gracious manner, and knowledge about all things skin related! Thank You Renae!

I was able to take time to fill out the questionnaire as it was prior to my appt and not during the first 5 minutes as other spas usually ask you to fill out a form when you first walk in. Amy had a really good understanding of the products I was using, what my ultimate skin goal was, and was very mindful of my skins reactions throughout the appointment. The facial was unique to my skin and I was so so relaxed. Amy made sure to check in and explain and steps that I was curious about and did her best in making sure I had a great experience. I got up post facial feeling like I had all the stress sucked away from my body and all the good hydration packed into my face. The studio is very clean and tidy and smells wonderful. During my checkout Amy suggested a few products and I took home the marini face lotion. I usually toss spa bought products due to the lack of quality but the marini face lotion definitely exceeded expectations and I'm using it till I run out. I will definitely be returning to sound skincare studio, a wonderful female owned small business in the madrona area.

This review, like the other bad reviews here, are not about the quality of sugaring services. She…read moredoes a great job with that. It's about the militant policy and the assumption that her time is more important than anyone else's. This business has all the shortcomings of a large company, and none of the benefits of a small business. I originally was waxed a little 4 weeks ago. April advised that I come back five weeks later. I run a tight and busy schedule between school, work, and caretaking for an ill family member. During the interim my cell phone was broken by the ill family member (dementia) and I had to switch my phone out. When it came closer to the appointment, I looked through my emails and did not see an original booking message. My calendar did not carry over, and I then received a text message 24 hours before the appointment. I was surprised, because most salons will send a booking email and then a reminder before their cancellation policy... something for confirmation at the onset. I showed up on time with a mask on, and wanted to rebook as I had hardly any regrowth. She was immediately angry, telling me that "she deals with people like me all the time." I was pretty shocked. Not only that she was so quick to anger, but that me showing up and using my time (because time is money for everyone) meant absolutely nothing. She angrily said that she pays for the roof over her head with the clients she has keeping the appointments. Good to know I'm just another blank face with a credit card. I have worked in customer service in 5 star hotels, fine dining restaurants, and for companies that have excellent customer service. The basic concept is that both parties' time is important, not just one. Another concept is that I would often choose to go to "mom and pop" businesses to support them instead of larger companies. The understanding was always that if they would be accommodating every once in a while, then I would tip an increasing amount each time, usually topping off at 30-35%. I have always supported service people. But at this business, it has been made abundantly clear that this is not a service oriented business. It is a profit-driven business where everyone is merely a number. She then kicked me out, telling me that she's always fully booked and doesn't need any more money. That was a weird contradiction and told me that she was speaking from emotion, and not reason. If you are nearby or have more flexibility with your time, and don't mind being treated somehow worse than all of the service companies I've worked for before in the past two decades, should you ever take an effort and show up to reschedule out of good faith, then please by all means be a patron to this establishment. But if you are looking for someone who truly values people and honest customer service, this is definitely not the place for you. April doesn't even bother to send out a booking confirmation. I've shown up 15 minutes early to everything I've been responsible in my life: work, school, appointments. I showed up on time this time. Again, didn't even register since I wanted to reschedule and not pay for having two hairs waxed. This has nothing to do with entitlement on my end. I just don't have the time or the patience to deal with people who do not understand the basic tenets of good customer service or the way that the tipping system works in America.... meaning if you extend excellent customer service, you tip an excellent amount. I would have included this appointment's service amount in my tip had I been allowed to reschedule. I only give my money to businesses and people who understand customer service and have the humility to work with people. Hubris is not something I will ever deal with when it comes to paying for a service that is not a necessity from an economic standpoint. If I were to run my own business, and felt overwhelmed, I would at least automate a booking confirmation email or have a booking confirmation template ready to send in case anything happens to a client's calendar, as most people now track it via their phones and various devices. But she insists that everything she does is perfect and there's no room for improvement, and clearly everyone else has a problem. Talk about shifting the accountability and responsibility.

I went here, to get sugar waxed for the first time and I loved it! This space makes you feel…read morecomfortable and safe. My session was full of laughs and I left feeling empowered. I will definitely come again and recommend this spot. Also I love their dog.
