I generally don't ever get facials, as they have never been remotely life changing, and I also was formerly an aesthetician, so I had received more than my fair share. Randomly, I felt like pampering myself and my skin, so I started googling to find someone who could squeeze me in last minute. My skin has never looked so incredible. I have been receiving comments from everyone that my skin is absolutely glowing. I chose to have the Custom Facial, and I have to say, it was the absolute highlight of my weekend. My lash lift and tint lasted 9 weeks! That was the first time I had ever done a lash lift/tint before and I was nervous that it was not going to make that much of a difference. Tiffany let me know that the lift/tint would last 4-5 weeks but at 9 weeks they still looked amazing! A week after I got them done I went on vacation where I was swimming a lot but it did not affect them at all. I am moving away from Seattle so I went in one last time to get them done before I no longer live in the area. Tiffany did an amazing job again and I know I will have another 9 weeks at least before I need to think about doing it again. This review is my first since I learned of Yelp in 2012. To date, I have had memorable dining and beauty and wellness experiences up and down the West Coast, in the DMV area, and Florida. I can say the same thing about my experiences in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China, and Japan. I bring this up simply to emphasize how compelled I was to dedicate my first review to Erin and Honey Skin Spa. I went to see Erin on April 4 to get my lashes lifted and tinted. I had gotten eyelash extensions done before, but was interested in giving lash lifting a chance. So, I ended up doing an hour's worth of research before deciding to book an appointment at Honey Skin Spa. The other places were competitive, but Honey Skin Spa's consistency won me over because consistency is important to me. Ambiance - On my way to Honey Skin Spa, my Lyft driver made me feel uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that as he was driving, I imagined how much it would hurt if I had flung myself out of his car. When I finally arrived at the studio, seeing the warm smile on the receptionist's face washed away the discomfort I felt in the car. It helped even more when Erin's adorable, obedient dogs came out to greet me. The waiting area was just darling. The furniture was color coordinated, somewhat minimalist but warm and inviting. It felt like a place where I could see myself hang out with girlfriends and drink wine on the plushy couch. - The room where Erin did her magic was set up well. Whoever did the interior decor did a wonderful job. From the lighting to how the bed was positioned in the middle of the room to the vastness of the room itself. All in all, the flow of the room was on point for me. Quality of service - I told Erin that this was my first time, and she walked me through every step. Her hands were steady and touch gentle. She explained to me why she did what she did and what to expect each step of the way. For example, she described how and why the length of short lashes would influence the final outcome. - My lash lift lasted about five weeks. During those five weeks, it was SO much fun putting on mascara. I needed only one coat, but applied two for funsies. The lift (with mascara) brightened my face up, drew more attention to my eyes, and made my eyes appear fuller. - What I loved most about my first time at Honey Skin Spa - and is my reason for wanting to book an appointment soon for a different service - is the astute level of attention and detail that Erin offers. My experience felt organic, authentic, and rich because of the little things Erin did. For example, she incorporated reiki while waiting for the chemicals to do their thing. She would pull the light away, but as she did, she turned it off, which made the light's intensity less jarring. Towards the end of the waiting game, Erin sat perfectly still and said nothing, which gave me the chance to fully relax and for a moment think I was alone. It was just what I needed. - Finally, Erin was not pushy at all when she told me about her promotional deals, which I love about a salesperson. Folks may have their own views on this, but at the end of the day, I know I will be a return customer at Honey Skin Spa. read more

I just left a lash lift appointment with Erin and I have never had such terrible results. I've been getting lash lifts for about 5 years and had been seeing Tiffany for the last year and half at Honey Skin Spa. Sadly, Tiffany is no longer there but my lashes need freshening up so I mustered enough courage to see a different esthetician there. I shouldn't have. I really shouldn't have. I should've paid for a R/T flight to LA and seen the esthetician who did my last lift when I found out Tiffany was gone. Before she started, Erin and I discussed what I didn't want: specifically lashes that were lifted straight up or too curled and touched the eyelids. Le sigh. I got both. My left eye has such tightly curled lashes that they touch my eyelid and have bent tips. I can feel them. Then there's my right eye which has inner lashes that stick straight up and outer lashes that fan out. There is no transition between the two lifts so they look horrible. I voiced my concerns and Erin told me that they'd relax a lot and to also wash in the morning. Excuse me? In response to my uncertainty and unhappiness about the results, she gave me a 10% discount which she received back in an 18% tip which I regret. I called immediately and spoke with a Nicki (sp?) who sympathetically offered to schedule me to get them fixed. When I asked for a different esthetician, I was told I'd have to wait over a week. That was way too long for me to be seen in public with lashes like these, so Nicky said she'd call her boss to see what could be done. I'm waiting to hear back. read more

My first facial was AMAZING (and they subsequently get better and better). I was completely relaxed in their dreamy, cozy bed and soothed by their products. I have sensitive skin so I'm very careful of what goes on my face. Hylunia (their preferred product line) is ideal for anyone looking for natural, clean and reliable products. They don't come cheap, but cheaper than a face lift in a few years :) I've been going to Honey for almost a year, and I get a lot of compliments on my complexion and it's healthy glow. I'm never disappointed with the attention or time they spend on me -- it's just a relaxing, calming environment and I leave feeling rejuvenated and healthy. Megan and Erin are gems. I have been to Honey twice and, I have to admit, I was a little nervous for my first appointment. I really just want really great skin for my upcoming wedding (and beyond) and I was embarrassed to come in without makeup- my usual hide behind. Erin has been SO nice and understanding that I felt she knew EXACTLY what I was going through and dealing with. She assured me my skin wasn't as bad as I was seeing it in my head and had every confidence that I would have a beautiful complexion in May for my wedding. The first facial was really pleasant and allowed me to RELAX for 90 minutes during this stressful planning time. Erin took the time to explain all the different peels and treatments she was doing them so I would know why they were good for MY skin. She really took her time and never once made me feel like just another customer- I really felt like she was paying full attention to me and my skin needs. After the first treatment I noticed my pores were visibly smaller and my skin much less red! I was SO excited to see those changes just after the one facial. I so appreciated Erin sitting down and creating a treatment plan with me- never upselling- just letting me know what she thought would be best and even giving her own experience with products. After wearing mascara for years and years, I came across an article on eyelash tinting. I looked up a few places and read reviews, etc. I decided to give Honey a try since it had the best price and is pretty close to my house. I was more than pleasantly surprised. First off, I was super blown away by how friendly and genuine both Megan and Erin were. They truly made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Second, I have become addicted to tinting. It makes mornings so much easier! Just wash your face and go. I love that. Plus, the pigments and dyes they use are vegetable based, so it doesn't burn your eyes or skin. I was a bit worried about this since I have sensitive skin, but nothing happened. The tint lasted for a month and I just went back for another treatment. It's so nice to look fresh faced in the mornings and even better to be able to pump it up with mascara; which doesn't interfere with the tint at all. Third, they have been very accommodating with scheduling appointments. They even stayed later for me for my first treatment. And last, but not least, these two ladies remembered me from my first session and both gave me hugs. They truly make an effort to go the extra mile with their clients, and it shows. I can't say enough good things about Honey Skin Spa! I have been battling acne for nearly 10 years off and on with little results from dermatologists and other spas that were recommending products and topicals with chemicals, dyes and fragrance that was keeping me in a cycle of acne. During my recent pregnancy my skin became even worse and I developed a form of dermatitis on my chin and around my nose. That combined with the new acne made for a disaster. Luckily I found Honey at this time and started with a series of custom Oxygen Facials every 3 weeks and began using their line of plant-based skin care products for home use. The combination of facials and excellent home products allowed by skin to finally start breathing. Within a month I was seeing a huge improvement and after 2 months my dermatitis was all but gone and I wasn't forming new, painful breakouts like before. Being pregnant and starting a treatment regimen can cause a lot of questions but Megan and Erin know just what to use and avoid during pregnancy and the facials are a great time of relaxation, knowing you are in excellent hands. It was also important to me to start using products that were clean of chemicals, preservatives, dyes and fragrance and to know what I was using daily was safer for me and much better for my health. Skin is the largest organ after all! Through this process I have also learned a ton about how the skin works to regenerate and heal, and why Honey does things in the order they do them, from starting with peels to ending with their oxygen treatment while the pores are open to take in the most nutrients. Megan and Erin have been a huge resource for me and I can no never go back to using other skin care products now that I've seen what is out there that works naturally. I am still on my journey but each time it gets better and better. Now we're working on clearing up acne scars and redness and I can't wait to see where I'll be at in another few months. I had made an appointment for a facial and lash tint with Erin so she was ready for me when I got there. As soon as my I got into the warm bed for my facial I was relaxed and felt so comfortable. I never wanted the facial to end and my skin was absolutely glowing after so I will definitely be returning next time I visit Seattle. I also had an eyelash tint that I really am loving! It was my first time getting anything done to my lashes and I'm so happy I tried this. I wear contact lenses and have a hard time wearing mascara everyday so Erin suggested getting a tint treatment done. This review is long overdue. What can i say about them. THEY ARE AMAZING! I am so glad i found them! Megan and Erin have become family to me, seriously. I have been suffering from moderate acne for almost a year, and what i love most about them was that they have had their own problems with acne and they knew exactly how i felt about it; the vulnerability, ugliness, frustration, helplessness, and so forth! They cried with me during our first consult! That's how i knew they shared my emotions and were wanting to help get to a clearer ME! Their salon is just so comforting and love the decor! Their product Hylunia (which i absolutely love) is all natural without the parabens and other chemicals found in most skin products. Now they do recommend some modification in lifestyle, like eating healthier and making sure to drink enough water throughout the day. That's another reason why i love them. They don't "lie" to you stating that their facials and products will clear the skin up. They emphasize how important it is to put good things in your body and that facials will help in addition to getting clearer skin. I highly highly recommend this salon. They've helped me get my confidence back! My skin has significantly improve. I get the occasional breakouts during my monthly time and the pigmentation that the acne leaves behind, but with that being said, i've noticed that even my pigmentation has improved with all the facials and products that i use from them. I have long, straight and stubborn lashes. I've worn false lashes, and I've invested in heated lash curlers - nothing really worked at keeping my lashes curled for more than a few minutes! Not even using the blow dryer to heat up the lash curler first. SO, I came to Honey Skin Spa to try their Lash Lift and it was amazing! My long lashes now stay curled for 8 weeks, and they don't grow out weird at all, they just fall out as new ones come in. The new straight lashes can usually be blended into the curled lashes with some mascara. $85 for 8 weeks of long curled lashes with no maintenance in between is a great deal. Ive gone twice now. It only takes 45 minutes. There is some tugging you feel on your lashes when you're getting it done but it goes away right away. Also, they're usually REALLY curled the first day, but look more natural and beautiful after you wash your face for the first time. There's 3 different curling sizes. Small, medium, large and staff will held you pick the right curl for you. I really recommend coming here for a lash lift if you have long stubborn lashes and don't want to deal with the upkeep or price of lash extensions. I needed a fairly last-minute appointment right before my wedding, and I booked one at Honey based completely on their great Yelp reviews. Even with high expectations, I was still very impressed. The place is gorgeously decorated, tres opulent, and just screams (or rather, classily whispers) "you are going to have a fun, fancy time in here". Erin was so sweet, we chatted like old pals. I had kind of an odd assortment of services I needed done (lash tint, brows, various waxing) and she didn't bat an eyelash. She's fantastic at her job and the whole thing was quick and painless. She even threw in a couple of things that I didn't even know I needed (you know how that goes). At the end I braced myself for a steep bill, since the place is so fancy and what the heck, you only get married once. But It was completely reasonably priced for the laundry list of services I got. Also, bonus: I've always had terrible luck getting lash tint to stay longer than a few days before it fades away, but whatever they use at Honey lasted for four weeks. Amazing! I have to say, I'm very impressed with Honey Skin Spa. I thought it was expensive, but being pregnant and a mom and therefore an extremely picky person who checks EWG.org obsessively about every skin product, I was pleasantly surprised to have my standards not only met but surpassed. So it was worth it. Megan not only gave me a wonderful facial but educated me on how to keep my skin healthy, was enthusiastic to answer all my questions and concerns, and just made the whole experience exceed all my expectations. It was fun to talk about skin care with someone else who is just as passionate about it and especially more experienced in it. After years of ignorance and putting on fragrance containing, harmful chemical containing products and having a family member suffer a reaction, I have been researching but struggling to find skin care products for my family that do not have such harmful chemicals or potential impurities. I went home and looked up the product line that Honey Skin Spa uses and i can finally breathe a sigh of relief because I think I finally found the right product brand! Also, I got my brother to go with me and I'm thankful because I think the experience will at least make him take care of his skin better and not go out in the sun so much.
