This review, like the other bad reviews here, are not about the quality of sugaring services. She…read moredoes a great job with that. It's about the militant policy and the assumption that her time is more important than anyone else's. This business has all the shortcomings of a large company, and none of the benefits of a small business. I originally was waxed a little 4 weeks ago. April advised that I come back five weeks later. I run a tight and busy schedule between school, work, and caretaking for an ill family member. During the interim my cell phone was broken by the ill family member (dementia) and I had to switch my phone out. When it came closer to the appointment, I looked through my emails and did not see an original booking message. My calendar did not carry over, and I then received a text message 24 hours before the appointment. I was surprised, because most salons will send a booking email and then a reminder before their cancellation policy... something for confirmation at the onset. I showed up on time with a mask on, and wanted to rebook as I had hardly any regrowth. She was immediately angry, telling me that "she deals with people like me all the time." I was pretty shocked. Not only that she was so quick to anger, but that me showing up and using my time (because time is money for everyone) meant absolutely nothing. She angrily said that she pays for the roof over her head with the clients she has keeping the appointments. Good to know I'm just another blank face with a credit card. I have worked in customer service in 5 star hotels, fine dining restaurants, and for companies that have excellent customer service. The basic concept is that both parties' time is important, not just one. Another concept is that I would often choose to go to "mom and pop" businesses to support them instead of larger companies. The understanding was always that if they would be accommodating every once in a while, then I would tip an increasing amount each time, usually topping off at 30-35%. I have always supported service people. But at this business, it has been made abundantly clear that this is not a service oriented business. It is a profit-driven business where everyone is merely a number. She then kicked me out, telling me that she's always fully booked and doesn't need any more money. That was a weird contradiction and told me that she was speaking from emotion, and not reason. If you are nearby or have more flexibility with your time, and don't mind being treated somehow worse than all of the service companies I've worked for before in the past two decades, should you ever take an effort and show up to reschedule out of good faith, then please by all means be a patron to this establishment. But if you are looking for someone who truly values people and honest customer service, this is definitely not the place for you. April doesn't even bother to send out a booking confirmation. I've shown up 15 minutes early to everything I've been responsible in my life: work, school, appointments. I showed up on time this time. Again, didn't even register since I wanted to reschedule and not pay for having two hairs waxed. This has nothing to do with entitlement on my end. I just don't have the time or the patience to deal with people who do not understand the basic tenets of good customer service or the way that the tipping system works in America.... meaning if you extend excellent customer service, you tip an excellent amount. I would have included this appointment's service amount in my tip had I been allowed to reschedule. I only give my money to businesses and people who understand customer service and have the humility to work with people. Hubris is not something I will ever deal with when it comes to paying for a service that is not a necessity from an economic standpoint. If I were to run my own business, and felt overwhelmed, I would at least automate a booking confirmation email or have a booking confirmation template ready to send in case anything happens to a client's calendar, as most people now track it via their phones and various devices. But she insists that everything she does is perfect and there's no room for improvement, and clearly everyone else has a problem. Talk about shifting the accountability and responsibility.

I went here, to get sugar waxed for the first time and I loved it! This space makes you feel…read morecomfortable and safe. My session was full of laughs and I left feeling empowered. I will definitely come again and recommend this spot. Also I love their dog.

Over the summer, I got a classic gel manicure and gel pedicure here for a special occasion. I was excited to give this place a try as I read the good reviews under new management. I came early morning and was the only customer inside. During my pedicure, my toe was cut and it started bleeding and hurting. I understand accidents can happen and was calm about it. However, I was then surprised that the tech tried to hide the mistake by pouring blue liquid over my toe whenever I looked away and moving on with the rest of the pedicure as if my toe was not bleeding or in pain. It was stinging from the liquid. The tech tried to cover up their mistake so I wouldn't notice but I spoke up multiple times to say that my toe is hurting from the cut and there was silence from both techs who were doing my manicure and pedicure. They continued on without pausing and checking to see how I was doing even after I told them it hurts. I was very uncomfortable throughout the rest of the service. I fully paid for my services $100+ at the end including tip but did not leave satisfied. No discounts were offered and I barely got an apology. My toe was in pain as I walked away and was so scared of it getting infected. I don't think this is acceptable service. There was a lack of accountability, professionalism, and care/comfort for the customer.

In 2025, I wanted to get my eyebrows laminated for the first time. Since I trust the business and the people who work there, I thought I would give adorn beauty a chance. However, the person that did my brows was unexperienced and new. When I told her my eyebrows stung, she said it was normal. Little did I know when I got back home that my eyebrows had completely scabbed over and I lost significant hair in my eyebrows. As you can see, I wrote an email asking for a refund for the poor service. No response from adorn beauty. As a loyal customer, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of service and accountability of this business.

I didn't receive a reminder link from Vagaro prior to my appointment so Anna was super kind to reach out to me for a direct reminder and confirmation of appointment which I really appreciated. There is a free covered parking garage on Horton street behind the building which was easy and convenient to find. Anna's shop was clean with nice lighting and great music. She made sure that I was comfortable before going ahead with the lash extension process. This was my first time getting lash extensions so I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The whole two hours felt like it went by so fast because we talked about everything from relationships, to food, to korean dramas lol! Anna was super easy to converse with and made sure I was comfortable throughout the application process. I let her know that I'd need it to last throughout my wedding and honeymoon and she assured me she uses a strong gel. Anna seemed very knowledgeable and provided great insights into the world of lash extensions! She also waxed my brows for me and created the shape I've always wanted. My eyebrows are naturally on the thicker, "bushier" side, so I appreciated her working with me to create the best brows for my face shape. I really enjoyed my time at Adorn and would definitely come back again considering it's also a one stop shop for my brows! She also sent me away with three blush pink (my favorite color) lash combs to maintain my new beautiful lashes! Anna is super communicative via text and is open for any concerns post procedure which I really appreciate. I've gotten so many compliments on how natural and beautiful my lashes are and it's only been one day so go and book your appointment! :)

I was able to make an appointment online easily and although it was a busy summer day, there were still a few parking spots in front of the salon. I thought it was unique that once you come in, they have you put your name on a little kit of nail tech tools for their visitors they put aside for the next time you come in. I went with a gel pedicure and removal of gelx nails for a basic mani to give my nails a little break. I was so excited to see they had various options for manicures, such as dip nails and gelx (which i appreciate so much more than acrylic!and not all salons offer). Their menu for options in pedicures and drinks all look so good ! I went with the spritzer which was delicious. I cant wait to come out again soon ! Go out and visit them, they're lovely and will take good care of you.

I booked a brow wax online for a 6pm appointment. When we were hit with the snow and ice, I was not able to physically leave my driveway. I called the morning of and let them know and planned a reschedule the following day hoping for better conditions. I got emails asking me for how my appointment went (which I found odd) but ignored it. The next day, I still was not able to leave my house, so I called the location the morning of and let them know I would be better off canceling and then rescheduling once the holidays were done and the weather was more stable. To my surprise, a pending $25 was applied to my card. When I called the location to ask why, the woman on the phone told me there was a no-show fee because I did not cancel 12 hours in advance and this was a generous policy bc most places are 24 hours. When I asked her if this policy applied to emergencies, she referred me to her manager, Anne. She gave me Anne's number which I called. It went to VM, so I asked Anne to call me back so I could better understand the policy and if there was some work around to the situation. I never received a call back and the charge went through on my card. Trust me, I understand the reasons for no-show fees and policy but the complete lack of understanding given the winter storm despite my longstanding timely appointments with them is disappointing. I will not be returning again and will find services elsewhere.
