This is the second time I have been here and I am starting to think it is a little overhyped in my opinion. I got the Carmel miso matcha and I found the matcha to be a bit grassy. The syrup flavor is very good, but I think there needs to be more of it because once it's mixed into the drink you can hardly taste it anymore. The miso Carmel flavor was light, but had a decent miso flavor in the beginning with a slight sweetness Carmel finish. I did get to try their sourdough cinnamon roll is it was very yummy. The main flavor comes from the sweet icing, but there is a very good ratio of cinnamon filling to icing to roll ratio. I will say that the sweetness of the roll did overpower the matcha syrup and the slight sweetness in the drink was significantly less prominent. The people here are very nice and have some good recommendations, and let you pick with pastry you want out of the case. I purchased the last slice of banana bread (was delish!) but I was one of the last 10 customers before they closed, so I think it's pretty normal to sell out of baked goods. The space was very clean despite the fact that it was very full and almost every table was taken. There wasn't any trash left behind! Absolutely stunning coffee and treats! Went to their pop-up shop in downtown on a Saturday morning and it was the perfect location. The line was long but surprisingly moving fast. I can never get enough of this place! The owners and their family members are always there and they are so friendly and happy. I've been here on multiple occasions and they are always consistent, the matcha is incredible as always. The cinnamon rolls are always soft and delicious, and I've had their brownies on a few occasions (they didn't have them in stock today) and they are always so good. Their trailer is currently in front of Dragonfly Thrift Boutique, but sometimes they are at UM (University of Miami). I've visited their trailer at Dragonfly Thrift Boutique a few times where they have free parking. There is ALWAYS some sort of a line, but they take orders pretty quickly in my opinion for the amount of customers they have on a day to day basis. Tried the Matcha that has vanilla syrup. First taste was of course grassy but not bad. But when you mix it up it has a good vanilla flavor. The foam on top is delicious. Also tried the banana bread latte. Again, foam on top was super delicious and it really does taste like banana bread. Will definitely be back to try more. Drinks were very good and staff are very sweet. I probably wouldn't go again because of how unorganized the inside is. It's extremely busy which is great for business but the owners need to have some time of control over where people stand. It's extremely frustrating and over stimulating to be waiting for your drink and people pushing you and walking through you. The honey whip is literally just whipped honey, but it was a very nice touch and I will 100% be replicating it at home. And the cookie... my goodness. So, so, so good. I really enjoyed the fun flavors and variety of options, my favorite was the Banana bread special flavor with coffee and oat milk. The whipped honey is a must! I tried the NY Summer strawberry matcha with pistachio milk which I thought was delicious and very close to whole milk consistency. I tried the blue babe blueberry matcha with oat milk which was good but more of a milk tea flavor not a lot of matcha, and the dirty matcha which I thought was a classic regular matcha. For pastries I tried the lemon blueberry scone which was ok, the cinnamon banana bread loaf which was good but lacked banana flavor. Lastly the cinnamon roll was a 10/10 and would definitely recommend. It is equivalent to the matcha I had in Japan, so if you're looking for a high quality matcha bevy follow their IG and find out where they are at for the day because you're definitely in for a treat. They do not skimp. I had their signature Honey Veil and their Blue Babe both were wonderful, not too sweet and like I said before, they were loaded for the matcha lovers. While they did run out of each drinks designated cold foam I still thought they were over all well rounded drinks. Prices seemed fair for the amount of matcha received, as everything was super high quality and all organic milks. That leads me to the second thing. I think that Honey Veil has been blessed and cursed by the internet. I found this place because of TikTok and instagram and it was evident when I arrived that the internet did its thing and blew up this amazing place. The problem then is because it's so popular there are long weight lines and it seems they run out of some items quickly like their pastries which I didn't get a chance to try. They seem to operate from a truck only with no store front from what I understand. You can track where they will be next and the hours they will be there. Not all locations are a good pick as some might not have easy parking as was the case with The Palmer when I went. Also, please keep in mind that not all things might be available if you go. I wanted the sourdough but had to wait another 30 minutes or so before they were able to have it delivered. I saw a truck that prepares drinks and a tent that sells baked goods. Sourdough was top notch and I'm expecting most baked goods to be in the category. Expect a line each and every time and if it's a burning hot day you'll love it even more.
