What a horrific experience! My teenagers got their haircut and upon returning home, it was clear that one side was way longer than the other. My other daughters hair had one curtain bang a few inches longer on the other side! We went back and they were not very gracious in the process. I decided to give them another try only because all the other places I called were booked up and my kids wanted haircuts before graduation. They showed up and would not serve them because of the prior experience and the fact I had asked for one refund! Please find a better salon with better hair stylists and good customer service! Evlalia was my stylist, and she did a great job of listening and checking to make sure she understood what I wanted. She stopped at points to let me check how the cut was going before she continued. If you believe in self care than you need to be doing reki. I just had my first session and could literally feel the energy in my body shift. When the session was done, Alicia went over what chakras were blocked and what that meant. She ensures they are unblocked before you leave. The chakras that were blocked made complete sense to me, everything she was saying (on how to serve those chakras) were things I had been thinking about for the past few weeks. Paid $200 to retouch/lighten my balayage and left with darker hair than when I went in, tried making contact with the stylist, never received a call back, called and spoke to a manager after paying another $100 to have my hair fixed! That manager was supposed to call me back.....no call back. If I pay $200 to have my hair done, I expect that the stylist knows a little about bleach. If you don't know after removing the foils, that when hair is orange/brassy that is hasn't processed enough, then you shouldn't be charging $200!!!! Poor service, poor management, and they obviously don't care if their customers are happy. read more

For a salon that seems to pride itself on quality and service, I am extremely disappointed. Recently we had a haircut with Evlalia. No polite chit-chat or offering of anything to drink. All of my questions were answered curtly. They never asked how we liked the haircut, or if the haircut was what we were looking for. No styling or drying of the hair. For a charge of $50. The receptionist was just as curt and rude. What is this...judgement? prejudice? I will not be coming back and all those I know will know how rude the salon/hairstylist is. Kayla did my lashes and was rude! Terrible customer service. She refused to continue to work on my lashes although my time wasn't up since it was time for lunch. During my appointment, she even took 10 minutes to give her personal credit card to the delivery person at the front desk. She didn't even fill out the lashes to make it even. There are distinct holes in the fan of my lashes. The lashes she put on me were hard, almost like there was hairspray on the top of them. I've been getting my lashes done for about 2 years and I have never had a more uncomfortable, poor quality lashes and customer service. I wanted to test out this salon to see how their lashes were, so I booked Kayla (only 2 women do lashes and the other person is much newer) so I thought Kayla would have more experience and be the best representation of the salon, but DON'T go here!! I just got my haircut by Raven and she was super friendly and nice and the salon itself was beautiful but I did notice later that my hair was kinda chunky in places and uneven, there was also a relatively large chunk missing, my understanding is that she is relatively new so I'm sure she is just still learning and this was just a bit of a mistake. I came here for the first time and got a massage- it was the most relaxing time. Everyone was so welcoming on the way in and on the way out. It made me want to come back! I actually booked another appointment as I checked out to leave. I loved the atmosphere and the people who work at Honeycomb were really what made my time there well spent. I happened to have had a rough day at work and they were just so nice, accepting, and friendly. I don't like too "over the top" and didn't feel that at all. I recently went to The Hive by Honeycomb for a wax and while that is never a comfortable experience, this place have created a very comfortable and relaxing environment. I came in with very over processed hair that was pumpkin orange in spots, lemon yellow in other spots, and bright white on top of my head. Samantha agreed length needed to come off but she was able to save a lot of it and I love the haircut she gave me. My hair is now all one gorgeous color and I could not possibly be any happier. I wish I had a before picture to post but it was so ugly I didn't even want to take my picture. Just know I looked like the makings of a citrus smoothie. read more

Got hair dyed and cut. The back was not blonde but only the front two sides which I found out once I got home. The cut was also not good as I asked for a plain straight across cut, but there were small chunks of hair about 2 inches longer than the rest of the hair.. honestly I was wondering how someone can be so careless when the style is just straight across. Every time I encounter a friend or coworker they would stop me and tell me I got a piece of hair and they would literally grab a pair of scissors and chop it off! read more

Came here for a haircut and left with choppy bangs. I asked for side bangs and she cut a crooked line across my forehead. She assured me that it would be fine the next day after I styled it but it's not and now I have to deal with uneven clumps of hair moving around my forhead. I've had many different salons do my side bangs but this is one of the worst. They said that they would give me a touch up if I was unhappy but what's done is done. They screwed up my bangs and I don't trust them touching my hair again. read more

I really liked my stylist; However, this salon does not treat their staff well. Instead of telling me my stylist left and where she went, they lied and said they didn't know. If it weren't for the way the staff treated my stylist and how they lied to me, I may have stayed. Such a shame. One should NEVER burn bridges with employees. read more

It really hurts me to give this place 2 stars because both girls I've had appointments with here were very sweet. I think the stylists are all very nice and welcoming, however both experiences that I've had with new talents were disappointing. My first time coming here I made an appointment and had to wait 20 extra minutes for my stylist. She did not explain or apologize to me for being late, but I'm not one to complain so I tried not to let it bother me. It was irritating. I got a haircut, but the whole time my stylist was making comments about the health of my hair and did not want to finish blow drying me because my hair was,'absorbing too much water and it would take too long.' That was disappointing, but my haircut turned out alright so I decided to brush it off. I made another appointment today to try out a brazilian wax with another new talent. I understand that not everything will come off your first time, however I left the salon with at least 50% of the hair I came in with. Very disappointing to expect at least 70% to be gone only to realize it looks like I tried to shave in the dark. I also had wax residue left everywhere and she only waxed one side of my behind. That's not the wax missing hairs, that's just not waxing it at all. It took maybe ten minutes. My waxer was so nice, but the wax I got was NOT worth $50. She told me I could go home and pluck any stray hairs, but at this point I would have to pluck the entire area. I'm just very very disappointed. I understand new talents are new, but both of my experiences here felt rushed and they were not thorough at all. I won't be coming back and will be looking for another place. As much as I don't want to say it, I'm encouraging anyone looking to come here to seek someone who has a lot of experience because the new talents have not given me great services so far. It seemed like they just wanted to go home, which I understand, but I paid $50 just to look like I DIYed a brazilian at home. :( read more

I went to the Hive to get a facial (my first facial ever) and I will not be going back. The woman giving the facial used a lot of force to do extractions and my forehead swelled up like I had been stung my bees. There are about 20 deeply bruised marks on my forehead from the extractions, that make my skin looks much worse than what I came in with. My dermatologist told me after that she was concerned with my skin condition and to look out for infection, and that my skin will takes weeks to heal (and that getting extractions at salons is not good and to go to the dermatologist). I recommend not getting extractions here as I wish I had known better before going in. The good part about the process what that I am being refunded for the service and the employees are kind. read more

I was in town for the week and told her I love getting my hair cut on vacation because you never know who can fit you in and it's fun. I told her I wanted to go from blunt bangs to pixie and she worked her magic. He took time to listen and even helped me decide what was my best option for what I wanted. I love this salon! I just moved here from the East Coast and have had the same stylist for the past 8 years. I thought I was going to have to fly back to NJ everytime I wanted a color. On a whim, I googled a Redken trained salon, and found Honeycomb. I made an appointment and met Brittani who is AWESOME AND PHENOMENAL! She is very knowledgeable about hair, but she actually listens to the client sitting in the seat. She is passionate about what she does and her energy is infectious. I had such high hopes for this place from all the raving reviews! First off the girl at the frontdesk is so friendly and was able to answer any questions I had and even booked my appointment for me over the phone! I had booked in for a 60 minute volume fill. I had gotten my lashes done at a different salon so I knew that with different procedures etc they might look somewhat different at the end. When Savannah sat down to look over my lashes and listen to my concerns her reply was "I guess I can see what I can do". I was caught off guard by the comment and made me very hesitant but my eyes were already tapped up and I was laying on the table. My appointment was for 7:15pm but she started around 7:25 which is totally fine and what I expected since she needed to see what she was working with. However, I booked in for a 60 minute fill and she was done at 7:59 that is 34 minutes..... half of the time that I booked for my appointment and paid for. I was extremely disappointed and my lashes look almost identically to how they looked before I came in. I am so upset with how they turned out and wish I would have gone somewhere else. I do not recommend this place for any type of lash extension service. Please search around and get your service done somewhere else I wish I would have. read more

I've been going into the Hive since they opened this summer, and I couldn't be more thrilled with them! I go to Erik for massages, and so far I've tried hot stone, deep tissue, and the regular one. The experience is amazing every time! They let you choose what essential oil you want, and they are so consistent with their customer service and quality of the services. I've also been going to Lindsey for facials and I am so addicted. She really takes the time to educate you about your skin and the products you're using. This year I had rosacea flare up on my face, and Lindsey is so knowledgeable about the skin condition! I feel like I'm taking a class every time I get a facial. Also, you haven't lived until you've had a foot soak with one of their complementary Mimosas. Honestly, sometimes I just sit in the lobby and enjoy the atmosphere. It is so calming. The salon has a nice atmosphere and the staff seems nice. The salon is environmentally friendly and claims to recycle 95% of their waste (which they add $1.00 charge to your bill to help cover). The girl who did my hair was also polite and friendly. My experience wasn't great, though. I had a multi-dimensional partial foil (highlights on the crown and sides, color on the rest), priced on line as 128+ (variable depending on length and thickness) which ended up costing me 148 plus 20% tip = 178.00. I asked for light brown highlights with NO brassy undertones. When I left the salon, it was dark outside and darker in the salon (which has floor to ceiling windows in front) and my hair didn't appear brassy. When I got home in the brighter lighting in my bathroom, the color appeared very very brassy. In fact, the next day when I mentioned to my husband I thought I needed a toner he said: "Why? because it's orange?". Yes it was THAT brassy. I gave it a day and then requested an appointment for a color correction. The color was toned down, but they made me pay for it. When I asked why I had to pay for a color correction, the stylist said, "Well, you said you liked the other day". I was SHOCKED. I have NEVER had this happen at another salon. Ever. I had to pay an additional 20 bucks. Note that it took the stylist 2 bottles of toner to fix the color. TWO. Clearly the brassy color was pretty intense if it required 2 bottles of toner to fix it. I called to complain to the manager and their receptionist called me back to tell me they would refund the extra charge. This isn't even about the $, it's about treating your clients, who pay top dollar and tip well, respectfully. Clients are your walking billboard and should be happy with results. Fixing hair color that doesn't meet the clients expectations (I asked for no brassiness) should be done either free of charge or charges should be discussed up front Two stars for being one of the most environmentally friendly salons I've ever been to.
