Literally sick to my stomach!!! Came here for an emergency fill as my son knocked out a cluster of lashes while we were sleeping last night (I'm visiting from WA). I came in to fill 4 natural lashes. Once done, was SHOCKED that I was being charged $60! $60 for a volume fill for 4 natural lashes, appointment couldn't have been longer than 10 min. I was in total disbelief. After negotiating with the manager, we got to $50. Wipeee!!! I then asked to speak to someone higher than him. He then spoke with the owner and came down to $40. Though I appreciate his efforts (I believe his name was Ryan), what kind of human decency do you have as a business or a business owner to charge someone this much? It was 4 NATURAL LASHES!!! Disgusting. Puts a bad taste in my mouth as to how owners run their businesses in Corvallis. Shame on you! read more

I have 3A curly hair and it's hard to find a stylist that knows what to do with it. I have left many a salon with a not-so-good cut and always with terrible styling. However I really needed a cut so I booked a signature cut with Mallory after seeing a review from another curly girl saying she did a great job. When we met Mallory seemed genuinely excited about working with my curls. We talked about what kind of style I wanted and then she started with a dry cut (hooray!). After washing my hair we talked a little about products (what works and what doesn't for my particular hair), then she styled and diffused my hair. I was so happy with the result I couldn't stop smiling on my way out. Mallory has a really good handle on how to bring out the best in curly hair. My cut is lovely and exactly what I wanted, and *bonus points* she styled my hair well enough that I could have gone back to work afterwards! Honestly Mallory's cut was much better than the Deva cut I got (and way more affordable). I totally recommend Mallory to any curly girls out there looking for a stylist who understands your hair! read more

Really disappointed with the eyebrow waxing outcome. The salon is really cute and hip but unfortunately the service was not so great. After clearly explaining that I wanted my eyebrows shaped and cleaned, she only cleaned it and didn't shape it at all. She was very nice and polite though so I appreciated the effort! read more

This was my first visit to The Hive and I will definitely be coming back! When I first walked in, I felt completely relaxed with the beautiful decor and there were candles that made the whole salon smell wonderful. I had an appointment with Lindsey for an eyebrow wax and she was great. Super friendly and did a great job! When I was checking out, she told me I could pick a free gift from the basket of goodies for booking my next appointment. That is a cute idea and they had amazing "gifts" to choose from just for booking my next visit that I planned on doing anyways! Recently started coming here for classic lash extensions, I started seeing Savannah in early October and really liked the work she did. This last fill I had done was by their "New Talent" Lindsay, I was hesitant to have someone less experienced touch my lashes but Savannah was booked out. I was prepared for the appointment to maybe take longer than usual what I was not prepared for was the horrendous mess that my lashes were in when I left. I didn't get a good look at them for a few hours but when I did I was very confused. I wasn't able to brush through my lashes due to clumping of my natural lashes under 1 extension. Many were crooked and unable to lay straight and when the extensions were pulled back many of my natural lashes would poke through meaning there was not extensions on them at all. I had emailed the salon but it was the weekend and after a day and a half of discomfort I decided to have them removed somewhere else. On Monday I was offered to have Lindsay fix them but at that point they were removed and I doubt I would have gone back anyway. I didn't trust the same person who caused the problem to be the one to fix it if they didn't even see it in the first place. The other lash artist that removed them said they looked terrible and she was relieved I was getting them off because they would have caused damage to my natural lashes. She confirmed they were not applied properly and way too much glue was used. I was emailed back after informing they were removed with genuine apologies and a credit on my account for the service I received. Sadly, I will not be coming back here to Lindsay or savannah for lash extensions. read more

Evlalia did my hair today after a very very long time of me not having my hair done. It was my first time seeing her and my first time at Honeycomb. I was so impressed with how well she listened, understood, and stated back to me my goals. I also appreciated openly communicating about the plan and price range up front. One of my least favorite things about getting my hair done usually is the awkwardness of holding my neck up in the rinse sink, but Honeycomb has these cool shelf things in the sink that made it really comfortable. Abundant thank yous to everyone at the Hive. They were so sweet and amazing at every turn.  My hour deep tissue massage was exactly what I needed. The heated massage bed, amazing aromatherapy oils and hot washcloths all created a thoroughly relaxing massage. I asked Ashley for a deep tissue massage and explained where my problem areas were. She gave each amazing attention and actually gave me the strength and pressure I was looking for. I've had a lot of massages in my life due to chronic back pain from car wreck injuries and running aches, and this was one of the best massages I've ever had. My facial appointment was a little behind schedule and I was offered an amazing foot soak with an array of bath salt options. I enjoyed my apple cider mimosa immensly and was happy I got to spend those moments befor my facial. I haven't had as much experience with facials but she seemed very knowledgable and was really sweet to chat with.  The staff, decor and ambience was just so amazing at the Hive. First visit to Honeycomb last weekend for the October special: Resting Witch Facial. Ivy who did the facial was pleasant and did an excellent job! The time during the procedure was relaxing and productive. My skin looked amazing the next day. I enjoyed my facial experience so much I scheduled a follow up appointment four weeks later as I was checking out. Staff at the front desk were kind and welcoming as well. I also noticed air purifiers in the facial room and waiting room section of the salon. I appreciate that aspect of a business using those to enhance their air quality. Happy I discovered Honeycomb and look forward to future facial and hair appointments I have scheduled there! read more

Recently started going to honeycomb! Started by getting eyelash extensions and fell in love with the salon and everyone who works there. I started by getting a classic set of eyelash extensions with Jasmine, who was the sweetest and amazing with my lashes! I then wanted to try their volume lashes and started going to Kayla, who is a true pro at what she does. As for the hair, I go to Jesika and have seen her for a few services. She has done a blowout and a balayage for me and I loooove it! She is very sweet and does amazing work. The receptionist is always the sweetest as well! She is very attentive when you check and helps wonderfully with flow. They always offer a beverage upon check in and have quite the selection of items as well. Evalalia was absolutely amazing! I came in with some major brassy-ness from a previous salon mishap. Evalalia was so helpful in coming up with a plan to color correct and make me feel more confident with me hair! She took her time in making sure my hair was exactly how I wanted. I'm not sure how this salon has such a high ratings, my family and I are visiting from out of town and decided to get our hair/make up done for my cousins wedding. My hair stylist addressed me on time, 9am appointment, I wanted a volume blow out with a little braid on one side, she abruptly stops me and says "you are only booked for 45 mins, I can give you a blow out with little curls but that is it". That set the tone for my appointment as she was not warm and friendly. I couldn't understand how 1 small braid would count as an updo, it takes 10 seconds or less. My hair was frizzy and there was no volume by the time I started my make up session but the curls kept. Make up was amazing, the women was friendly and quick with the application. I suffered through some unfortunate haircuts in my search until, thankfully, I discovered Rikki at Honeycomb. She is amazing! With COVID, I have been hesitant to get my eyebrows waxed. Honeycomb has done a good job, offering sanitizer and a clean waiting area. I felt a little rushed through my experience, but overall was happy with how my brows came out. The important parts were hit (ie, clarified the shape I was looking for, casual convo, etc). I understand the quick move through with covid, but thought it was weird to have me fill out a intake sheet with allergies, medications (ie am i on acne meds that weaken my skin collagen), but then no one read the sheet before waxing my face. so, maybe a wee bit too fast read more

Brenna is the best. I've always been afraid to get my hair cut, but this woman has got it. I showed her a few pictures and she got straight to work on a cut and style that suits my hair type and face.
