Here I thought I'm all set for my big day and cross one thing of my "To Do List". But weeks later, she canceled on me because she has a wedding inquiry. Now I'm back to square one trying to find a makeup artist. I'm upset that she's UNPROFESSIONAL and didn't handle the situation well. She could of call me instead of text me and she could of try to move me to an earlier time to show that she's trying to make this work (beside it's only take her 30 mins to do my makeup according to her statement). I advice you to go with someone else that is reliable and professional.

But that all changed when I did my extensive research and asked Upstyle to be a part of my wedding day. I teared up immediately when I saw how I looked on my special day--all thanks to the Upstyle team. I had never felt more beautiful (while still feeling like myself) after getting my hair and makeup done. It is not uncommon for Asian brides to have doubts about how they will look after makeup, but I want everyone to know that Jessica's talent knows no bounds. She understood my vision and made me look exactly how I wanted to look and (somehow using her magic) more. There really aren't enough words to describe the immense joy (and relief) I felt after being in Jessica's chair. I also got beyond lucky to have worked with Jessie. I had asked for changes to my updo after my trial, and she worked with me throughout the entire morning of my wedding to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Just like Jessica, she understood my vision right away. She made me feel so incredibly comfortable, really listened to what I was looking for, and was invested (as if she were me) in how happy I was on my wedding day. There is no question that they are the best in the game. What is also worth noting is how fun and warm they are to everyone in the room. Even though it was my second time meeting them (first time was during my trial), it was as if I asked two of my super close friends to help me do my hair and makeup. Jessica and Jessie used their charm and wit to even communicate with my non-English speaking mother to give her exactly what she wants. That's how fantastic they are as people and as artists. People say they feel the wedding blues after everything is over; I do too, of course, but what contributes to those blues is how much I miss them. I made some excellent decisions for my wedding day, and asking Upstyle to work with me was on the top of my list.

Keep in mind, I never met personally with anyone in this salon, I never did a phone consultation, and I never got to do a trial. We have been working with Connecticut's Attorney General since November 2020 (it is now end of March 2021) to try to get a refund/work out a payment plan to get our money back. I understand businesses were affected by the pandemic, however, this salon provided ZERO services and has no moral issue withholding our money. Let me repeat, ZERO services were offered by the salon. The Attorney General said we are not the first to complain about this salon-BEWARE.
