As soon as I walked into the salon, I was greeted with a friendly smile and asked whether or not I would like some tea or coffee. In addition it is clean and feels classy. In regards to the hairdresser, I gave her a picture of my usual haircut (based on my driver's license) and she nailed it PERFECTLY! She got mad skills and a great personality. One thing that I wasn't too crazy about Directions is the parking in front of the salon. It is quite difficult because if you're not careful you might back off the curb since there's no ramp. Also, there's a high step in front of the door, which could be difficult for some patrons. OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: 1) Great and personable Hairdresser; has mad skills 2) Clean and classy Salon. 3) Extreme caution needs to be taken when backing out of parking space.

I drove to Theresa's Family Salon this morning. I have been here before for a basic trim. I made the mistake of not calling ahead, thinking it shouldn't be too bad of a wait, I waited around 40 minutes. There was just one stylist working, maybe because it's Sunday, I'm not sure. Once it was my turn. I sat in the in chair and she put the cape on me. I told her I'd like a trim and some side bangs. The stylist's name was Jodi or Josie. She sprayed my hair with some water first. After brushing my hair, and sectioning it two sections, she began trimming my hair. When it was time for my bangs, she asked me how short I'd like them. My whole haircut was complete in under 10 minutes. It looks light and fresh. At this hair salon there is a 4% discount if you pay using cash. I would come here again for a basic trim.

The flat iron was too hot. She dried out my hair by using a hard brisel brush with a hot blow dryer and then proceeded to hot iron it flat. I spoke up during my appointment by saying the brush wasn't necessary but she said that it was the way she needed to dry my hair first before hot ironing it. I had long think hair and always received compliments now I will be wearing a hat to cover the damage. I am embarrassed and devastated. Beware! The standard haircut appointment for children is 15 minutes and $23. She also offers shampoo, blow drying, and coloring for additional fees and time. My toddler does not like haircuts. This was his second time so it was expected that he would cry during it. Sally was patient and did a fantastic job on the haircut. My son moved last minute during a buzzing and there was a line in his hair, she was able to smooth it out and make it look nice. After, the kids were offered a sticker or lollipop. Overall, it was a good haircut and we (the parents) look forward to going back; my toddler maybe not so much lol.

This was years ago. Second complaint another student left me while she went to the Finance office and Miss Karen was livid about it. Third complaint was a few weeks ago. I had asked for low and high lights and ended up with grayish tones throughout my hair so upon calling that Monday to ask if they could fix it, Miss Marie told me it's a school and I said what does that have to do with anything so I went in on Thursday and they put a blonde toner in and of course it was better than nothing compared to the way I left so beware if you even speak up about the service because you're not pleased, you will be asked to never come back, this is very unprofessional and if it's a school, then the students would have to learn just as if they worked in a real Salon, etc.. I had never left a review before because I didn't think it was necessary. I thought the School was handling it, but then I was told they were taking notes about me very childish and unprofessional upon trying to call the owner Mr. G who owns a very successful business in Rocky Hill he never returned my phone calls just had his reception take information and never got back to me! I also left an email for Martin G and he never responded. I'm not the first do your due diligence and gore reviews all over other platforms.
