It's usually good when I come here. Everyyhing is usually great! place clean, good food and honey bars, great nice service. But this past weekend I ordered the Chicken Swarma as I did before and I even asked the girl at the front desk will there be chicken in it last my last order. she said yes, however when I got home and checked, there was no chicken in it. I recently ate at honeygrow in N.E. Philadelphia. The building is new and conveniently located off Rt. 1. There is ample parking and the interior is nice and open layout. The service was good and you place your order at a kiosk (which is quickly becoming the norm, think Wawa or McDonald's). The counter help was very nice and she cleaned my table as requested. She was super friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu items when I questioned, " what do you recommend?" She answered my questions and my date's question about "specials." On to the food...my date and I both ordered the Shrimp Caesar Salad. It is easy to modify the salad and the options are unlimited. I substituted the shrimp for beef and my date substituted the shrimp for chicken. My steak was good but it was not what I expected. I expected strips of beef but what I got was thinly sliced roast beef (think the deli counter at your local supermarket). The beef was flavorful but again, it was not what I expected. My date was happy with her entree and she gave the restaurant a good review. Overall we enjoyed the experience and I left with a good first impression. The restaurant was not busy at 3p.m. on a Tuesday afternoon and the food was prepared quickly. I would return in the future but I would likely try one of their noodle/stir fry dishes. read more

Even though the place is clean and the food was good, I gave it one star because the service was terrible. My first visit to the restaurant was this past Friday, March 14, 2025, around 11:30 a.m. Even though there were no other customers, it took a long time for my food to be served. Upon entering, there was no greeting, and when they brought my order, they didn't even know how to say thank you. They should be more courteous to the customers; that's part of a successful business and a good reputation. For that reason I give them one star. I applied for a job here and the manager Vianca chose a date and time for me that I cleared my schedule for. I arrived on time for the interview at the location. The vibes were kind of awkward. The employees just kind of mind their business and didn't greet me. But that's fine. My issue was when I said I was here for an interview a lady came over and said the manager is not here today come back tomorrow. Huh?! I thought maybe there was a misunderstanding so I waited in the parking lot and emailed the manager asking if she was coming. The screen is easy to navigate with pictures of everything. The food is fresh and delicious. Both salads and stir fried have a variety of options as well as a create your own. The create your own has lots of add in options. Some are free while others have a nominal charge. It's easy to see what options have an extra charge. My salad was huge! The honey bar is my fave! It also has a variety of options or a create your own. I had vanilla yogurt with apples, grapes, strawberries and blueberries (extra). I added granola and walnuts. It was such a good snack and healthy too! Drinks options include bottled water, fountain sodas, two specialty drinks and LaCroix water. The store was super clean. Here is the email: Good day. This is the second time I've gotten no meat in my bowl. The first time was several months ago. I was so excited to see a Honeygrow finally open up in northeast Philly nearby, so much so I accidentally sent my husband to try to pick up food there earlier this year before they opened. (Whoops!) If you've never been, think chipotle meets ramen, with the ease of ordering like a Wawa. I read through a couple reviews and while people are entitled to opinions on things, I felt I should address a couple inaccuracies I noticed. First, there is ample parking on either side of the restaurant, also, there are many friendly employees present and visible working hard to get out food pretty quickly. There are several kiosks for self ordering, which speeds things up and seems to ensure accuracy. There is plenty of seating inside and also outside which is nice when the weather cooperates. Its a little noisy, but it doesn't bother me, personally. I don't love the tip line in self ordering fast food type restaurants such as this (also done at Panera and I don't like it there either). I've worked for tips over the years, and I always tend to overtip, and tip even in non tipping expected situations. At honeygrow im ordering myself, getting my own drink, picking up the food, and cleaning the trash/table up or taking food to go; which to me just is never a situation where I would be tipping 20% so to even have it as a suggestion is honestly awkward and a little ridiculous to even suggest. I think maybe just having a tip option would be more palatable or like a tip cup up front would be fine, but the way it is seems a bit beggy. My only other main complaint would be I wish there was an option to do extra noodles. I admittedly eat a lot and generally wish I had more noodles at the end of my meal when I go to honeygrow. I have no complaints on the food or flavor, and pricing wise at about $15 it's comparable to most fast food places nowadays at what I would consider higher quality ingredients. Stir-fry that's healthier option than greasy fast food like McDonalds and such. all dishes are flavorful!

My family was eager to try Honeygrow, so I decided to grab takeout. What a mistake!! First, there is literally NO parking near the restaurant. Fine, I can use the exercise anyway. I opened the door to the absolute noisiest restaurant I've ever been in. The noise came from echoing clanging of metal cooking utensils from the kitchen area. There is no carpeting; the floor is cement and the walls are cinder block, with exposed pipes above. The tables and chairs were hard plastic (and I found out later, really uncomfortable). I had to figure out that you have to order on a computer screen, sort of like if you're at Wawa. However, the screens are placed in such a way that you can't tell if any are empty so that you can order. There were no employees to greet, help direct customers to the ordering stations, answer questions... When I was finally able to get to an ordering screen, I was forced to provide my name, phone number, email address before I could even look at the menu. By this point I was already getting a headache from the noise and general chaos. It took me almost 20 minimum to actually order (only shortened because my family texted me exactly what they wanted). Then came the sticker shock: $69.00 for four (4) bowls. The ordering kiosk actually had the nerve to ask me to include a 20% tip. Tip?!? For what?!? I still couldn't find a single employee! I found an empty table for two as far from the kitchen area as possible while I waited for my order. After 15 minutes I finally got to meet an employee, who was shouting my name over the noise. My family was happy with their (that's why they got one star). My food was ok. I wasn't sure about the sauces they offered so I asked for my sauce on the side, but they forgot about it, so the flavor was just "meh". Save your money and your sanity.
