Went in here for lunch in January 2026 and ordered a hamburger and french fries, which were both really good. The owners (I assume) or at least employees sat in the back and smoked cigarettes and drank Bud Light in the middle of the day. I don't care what they drink or if they smoke even, but I don't like the smoking inside the restaurant. read more

Just exploring around the area and was intrigued by the slaw burger. Had to try one. The place was empty at 4:30 on a Monday. The employee said she just got done with a rush. The place seemed nice. That being said I loved the burger. The slaw was sweet and a little tart. It was made fresh. I could probably eat a dozen of these. Try one! read more

Our food didn't come out all together. Who wants to eat their burger and 15 min get the fries. 2 customers complained and left in the hour we were there. There was a young man making burger patties but also delivering food to the customers with the same gloves! He delivered our fries and his gloves had raw hamburger meat on them! Ordered 2 roast beef sandwiches and the beef was bad smelled and tasted bad. Told the waitress and her response was "well I done eat roast beef" that was it. I am from Huntsville and it usually takes me an hour to get to Fayetteville. One of my favorite places to stop and get something to eat is at Honey's. This evening, I went on a date and we decided to give Honey's a chance, since we haven't been to this restaurant in over a year. Once again, the burgers were delicious and so where the onion rings! The last time I asked she said it was another five minutes, and just told her to cancel it. I was starving by this point. Yes, please. Visit Honey's and have an Original Slawburger. It's so good they named a festival after it. For real. And there's a slawburger eating contest where the winner walks away with a champion belt (see pics). What is a slawburger, you ask? Think a tangy, mustardy, dill relish cabbage slaw slathered on a burger and you pretty have it. We missed this year's festival by a week but we did our part to support a local legend by dropping by for an early dinner. We ordered a Slawburger, Honey Melt and Delta Blues as well as onion rings, tater tots and fries. Interestingly enough, we were reading reviews while we waited and several folks commented on order mix-ups. Yep, happened to us too but rather than be annoyed, we just laughed and moved our sandwiches around until we got it right! Beef patties are fresh and handmade. We watched them scoop out a batch to pat later. Everything is prepared at the grill and fryers right in plain sight. We had a great time and found the staff nice and helpful. Overall, it did look like the place could use a deep cleaning and removal of non-essential "stuff" laying around but nothing so bad as to keep me from visiting again if we are ever in the neighborhood. read more

I was in town for business and wanted to support local places so we picked this. I ordered a starter and fish and chips. My colleague ordered chops and mozzarella sticks. He got his sticks and didn't get my shrimp. Ten minutes or so I got my burnt fish and no chips. They said I didn't get them because I asked for their weird coleslaw. I told them that was extra and still wanted my fries. They brought his lunch out later and no fries. Then they brought my cold shrimp. I told them before I didn't want it and still needed fries. No fries. The girl didn't act like she cared and it was my fault I didn't want the shrimp. Also argued about the fry thing which I reminded them i wanted the slaw as extra. Finally the other lady fixed it. Nice local place with a lot of movie posters and history. Hope they get their act together. read more

This is our fourth or fifth visit. Came today during a slow time. They totally forgot one of our meals. Thank you comping it after we mentioned it (hence the one star). Every visit has been a fiasco in one way or another (not getting food or not getting what we ordered). It's a shame. They have good burgers. I would consider this place as a hidden gem. I visited over two years ago, and was impressed with the entire dining experience. Attentive staff, food quality excellent, and the price is very reasonable. Now I have visited the location at least three times recently. The first time I went into Honey's I wasn't all that impressed. It took 45 minutes to get my to go order and the food was a little cold. There was a car show on the square that day and they seemed very overwhelmed so I held off on posting a review until my second visit, which I had yesterday. I ordered the Delta Dawn burger with a side of cheese fries and also cheese sticks as an appetizer. The delta Dawn burger is two of there 1/4 pound patties done all the way with; lettuce, tomato, pickle (which I left off), and there delicious comeback sauce. The patties were cooked well and the burger was very delicious. The side of cheese fries that I ordered were crispy and topped with some amazing nacho cheese sauce. The cheese sticks we ordered might have been my favorite part of the meal. They were very crispy, melted in your mouth, and were very cheesy. The only downside of my visit to honey's yesterday was the service. The server we had was slow and seemed like she really didn't care if we were taken care of. My drink stayed empty for a while until who I am guessing is the manager or owner reminded the staff to check on there tables. The food took a while to come out even though they were not many tables and our appetizer came out after our meal. One thing that made up for the speed of the service was the overall atmosphere of the building. It's an old building that I believe I read was built in the 1920's and the walls were covered in old movie posters and old local news articles that were cool to read while we waited. The ambiance of the building was very cool and I loved it. Overall the whole experience at Honey's was very positive and the food was enough to over look the service. Food was okay but apparently some menu item descriptions do not match what you get. Four of us went to eat. Three of us ordered the Bourbon Street Blues Burger. The menu states the burger comes with blue cheese crumbles. Two of us got double cheese burgers and the third got a single cheese burger. Our fourth member ordered a grilled ham and cheese with pickles on the side. The pickles were on the sandwich and not on the side but not a big deal. We never saw our server again after she delivered our food. We eventually gave up on getting a check so we just went directly to the register. The cashier asked what we had. We told her that my husband and I would be on one check and the other two in our party were together. We then told her that we had a double cheese burger and a single cheese burger, a side with each, and a sweet tea with each. She looked confused and asked if we had ordered the Bourbon Street Burgers. I said we had but that was not what we had gotten. So she called some other lady over who asked what we ordered. I again I said we ordered the Bourbon Street Blues burger. Her response was that they came with two patties. To which I responded that the issue wasn't the two patties, but if it come with two, why did one one have a single. Our issue was that the menu says it has blue cheese. She responded that they never sent them out with blue cheese. Then why does the menu say it has blue cheese if it doesn't? American and blue cheese are very different. She huffily grabbed a menu looked at it, and slammed it back down and then told the cashier to charge us for something that I was unable to make out. I realize there is a shortage of workers right now, but I have been to other places to eat with overworked staff that showed much better customer service than this place. Next, we both ordered, I asked for a slawburger and my spouse asked for hamburger steak with onions, peppers and Swiss. After food delivery the waitress announced they don't have Swiss but you could have some other cheese. Well, that would have meant taking it back; not the way to be customer friendly. This isn't my usual spot for my Thursday lunch in Fayetteville but I gave it a try today because I wanted something different for my birthday lunch. I made a bad choice. I walked in and was hollered at from the back to seat myself. So I chose the closest booth. A young girl came and asked my drink order. I told her I was unsure and needed a minute. She awkwardly kept standing and waiting for me so I asked for just water with lemon. Another older lady walked up and asked my drink order and I told her that the younger girl had taken it. She walked off. Older lady came back and got my food order. Was very unpleasant, never smiled, not friendly at all. The younger girl threw my plate onto the table as she ran by. No question of my food was ok or anything. I ordered a shake to go. Went to pay. Girl at the register never even acknowledged I was standing there and barked my total at me after about 3 awkward minutes. Never saw a ticket. No receipt. Do yourself a favor and walk on down to "The Local Cafe" and eat there instead. I will never be back to this place. read more

Been to Honey's a few times for lunch, I find the burgers to be very average tasting, nothing really special (although my fiancee likes them). Service is EXTREMELY fast, seems like they will plop a burger down in front of you 60 seconds or so after you order (great if you are looking for a quick lunch). But the real reason to come to Honey's is to enjoy the atmosphere -- sitting at an old style counter, looking out the front window toward the Town Green. Food was great my problem was at paying I came up and the cashier charge me $20.12 and I ask that's not the right price my meal was $12.79 plus a drink then the cashier told me that the prices on the menu were wrong and they were making new menus and I asked why didn't anyone inform the customer of that because they didn't tell me that if I was gonna spend $20 I would've bought a steak so then I asked for an itemized receipt after I paid on my receipt it showed the right price for my food $12.79 plus drink but then they had charged me almost 4 dollars for a salad and I said well the salad was included because if you look at the menu it says comes with a salad and side. So they refunded me the salad but only three dollars not four so my main question is why are they just trying to charge me an extra four dollars to make an extra tip or what because she said the menu had changed and the price was right that I paid on the menu it's just they charge me an extra four dollars for salad read more

I live in a nearby town and for years I have heard about how great the burgers were. I decided to try it. What a disappointment. The burger was ordered all the way. There was a piece of lettuce about the size of a half dollar. The patty was about as thick as a Krystal. I always try to say something positive about every place I review.......the home fries were good. If your on a quest to find a great burger ....don't waste your time here. This is my favorite restaurant in Fayetteville Tennessee. Located on the Square, this family owned diner has a ton of local and national history featured on the walls via famous newspaper headlines. This place is just bad. Dirty bathroom, dirty floors, messy and disorganized, dirty silverware, and terrible service. The cheese steak sandwich I ordered had absolutely no steak on one half and 3 tiny strips on the other half. By the time everyone at our table had food, which was a drawn out process because each plate was brought at a different time over the course of 20 minutes, we were all so ready to get out of there we did not bother complaining.
