    Honey Melt with fries.

Yes, please. Visit Honey's and have an Original Slawburger. It's so good they named a festival after it. For real. And there's a slawburger eating contest where the winner walks away with a champion belt (see pics). What is a slawburger, you ask? Think a tangy, mustardy, dill relish cabbage slaw slathered on a burger and you pretty have it. We missed this year's festival by a week but we did our part to support a local legend by dropping by for an early dinner. We ordered a Slawburger, Honey Melt and Delta Blues as well as onion rings, tater tots and fries. Interestingly enough, we were reading reviews while we waited and several folks commented on order mix-ups. Yep, happened to us too but rather than be annoyed, we just laughed and moved our sandwiches around until we got it right! Beef patties are fresh and handmade. We watched them scoop out a batch to pat later. Everything is prepared at the grill and fryers right in plain sight. We had a great time and found the staff nice and helpful. Overall, it did look like the place could use a deep cleaning and removal of non-essential "stuff" laying around but nothing so bad as to keep me from visiting again if we are ever in the neighborhood.

Stopped here during a work trip and it was so great! Loved the atmosphere and food. I tried the double slawburger and I would 100% eat it again. If you're in the area definitely give it a try! Don't miss out on trying the honey's dipping sauce.

Great customer service and I greatly appreciate their accountability/ willingness to make up for our previous visit. Last night we started with the crab croquettes, STELLAR. Absolutely loved and devoured these. The crunch on the croquette was to die for, topped with a refreshing crab salad, perfect. For my entree, I had the lamb rack with house potatoes & broccolini. My boyfriend had the blackened catfish with the grits. Both dishes were phenomenal . To finish up we tried their new chocolate strawberry bread pudding, so rich and delicious. This restaurant is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Northern Alabama. Go give them a try! We'll 100% be back.

This seemed to want to be a foodie destination. The half, fried chicken included a small drumstick, small wing, piece of breast, and another piece that was unidentifiable but might have been a thigh. It had a spicy sweet sauce covering, which we opted to have on the side. That was a good choice because the hint of cayenne was still too much for one diner. We asked about the slaw -- whether it had a cream or vinegar dressing. The server described it as a "creamy vinegar." It made no difference because the dressing was so understated that the side tasted more like chopped cabbage than anything else. Disappointing. Finally, I asked the server whether the grilled green beans were actually that. I was more curious than anything else because grilled green beans would take longer to cook. She said yes, they were grilled. I don't think so. They came out fairly quickly and were pretty universally blackened all over like they were cooked in a skillet. Once our food was delivered, we never saw our server again until I asked for the check. So, what I believe was intended to be an elevated dining experience was simply under executed.

It has a bright and open welcoming vibe and our server was outstanding, responsive, courteous and efficient. The selection is large and both of our big breakfasts were very tasty and filling. My partner had the Jack Benny, their version of eggs hollandaise but with a nice slice of ham. I also got their biscuit, which others had recommended to me. Huge biscuits are the rage but not really my fav. This one was crumbly but well baked. The blueberry jam gave it a high yummy rating. The girl who took our order was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick from the moment we walked in. I ordered Dad's Egg Sandwich, and Mom got the Vegetable Frittata. The bacon on my sandwich was the standout--nice, thick, and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that the menu mentioned garlic, but I honestly couldn't taste any. If you're going to promise garlic, I want to taste garlic! Mom really enjoyed her frittata, although I think she's getting a little tired of egg dishes lately. She especially loved the toast and whatever butter they served with it. It almost tasted like maple butter, and it was delicious. The fresh fruit was also excellent (I happily finished Mom's!). My only real complaint is the size of the restaurant. It's a cozy space, but I can see it getting crowded very quickly during the breakfast rush. Overall, everything was wonderful. Friendly staff, fast service, and a delicious breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

It was very crowded outside and inside. We walked inside and there were 2 vacant tables. I stood by a table while we waited to place a takeout order. It was a long 8 minute wait. I looked around and was surprised at how many people were enjoying mimosa's and other drinks. I didn't see any dirty martini's. I ordered the biscuit and sausage gravy. The biscuit has noticeable bacon bits and cheddar. The sausage gravy had bits of sausage and I could definitely taste cream. In my humble opinion I prefer a biscuit without added bacon and cheddar. I prefer milk or half and half versus cream in my gravy. Others may disagree and that's ok. All of us do not have the same palate. 4/5 Dave ordered Dad's Egg Sandwich. The sandwich was ok. I make egg sandwiches multiple times a week for Dave. I suppose I expected more than the sandwich delivered. 4/5 The visit was marred by the near 28 minute wait for our food. The kitchen cooked our food and a bag sat on the counter for a while. It was the same location delivery drivers were picking up food. After several orders were delivered for people that came in after us, I sent Dave to inquire about our food. The bag was our order and was sitting on the counter...getting cold. Dave's name was not called out when the order was ready. We were 5 feet from the counter. I may return again to check out other foods on the menu. I did not discount the review for the late and cold food. If you are into brunch foods and drinks, please visit this locally owned restaurant. 4/5

I also appreciated that when I lost my only ChapStick, the staff kindly gave me one from their shop at no charge, which was a nice gesture. That said, there were several disappointments. The pool area did not match the photos online. The chairs were much more basic than pictured, the surrounding area was concrete instead of brick, and the overall atmosphere felt less luxurious than expected. The shower water pressure was very weak. The room door was difficult to open and had to be pulled firmly to fully latch when closing. While walking through the halls, I noticed several room doors that appeared closed but could have easily been pushed open because they had not latched properly. There were also a few smaller issues. The coffee cup lids did not fit properly, and the breakfast buffet was mediocre, especially for the $18 price. I even noticed a dirty plate mixed in with the stack of clean plates. On the positive side, a regular cup of coffee from the café was reasonably priced at $3.22. While the room was generally clean, I did find a hair and a makeup stain on one of the pillows.
