    Breakfast Plate

We were visiting Chattanooga and thought it would be fun to check out the Lodge Cast Iron Museum, so naturally we ate at Big Bad Breakfast while there. It was a random weekday morning, so it was really quiet. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. It's a casual place, with lots of tv's. I had a hard time choosing between the Yard Work Skillet and the Cornbread Omelet, but I figured where else would I find a cornbread omelet? It was SO yummy. I got the bacon on the side because I don't eat it, but there was a lovely amount of veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The cornbread eggs had such an interesting flavor. I got the cheese grits on the side which were a little spicy and deliciously creamy. My gf got a breakfast plate and thought it was good. The crispy hash cake was ok but a little dense. I ended up eating her biscuit the next day and it was really good.

My friends were in town for the weekend and suggested we do breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast. Although I live closer to the one in Chattanooga, I just love the one at the Lodge store. So suggested we go there and also check out the store. We had about a 15 minute wait before we're seated. Our waitress was quite friendly and attentive. I decided to order steak and eggs and switch my toast to a pancake. I ordered the steak medium, but it was brought well done. I'm pretty sure it's due to how thin the steak is. I wonder if it's better for them not to ask how you want your steak done since they don't have much control over it. I also noticed the steak was quite grizzly. Although I ate mine and pushed through one of the guest at my table was not able to eat hers. Overall, the food was good, but not the same as when I visit during the Cornbread Festival weekends. I'm not sure what the difference is. It just was not the same experience. My friends had a variety of other meals and some really enjoy theirs and other thought that the meal was not very good. I was really surprised when the one friend who ordered the cornbread omelette, said that it wasn't good since I've previously had it and loved it! A few also ordered coffee drinks and mentioned that they were either too sweet or watered down. Perhaps whatever management is there doing the cornbread festival they should still be there on regular weekends to ensure the food is up to par.

First visit to a BBB. Good food, great taste, kind of expensive. .

Big Bad Skillet with a stunning large biscuit. Both excellent.

South Pittsburg outside Chattanooga has its destination duo reversed -- come for the food, stay for the skillet tour. That is Big Bad Breakfast, an emerging entry into morning and midday entrees. Adjoining Lodge's colorful campus, the stylish restaurant steals the show. An eclectic menu (cornbread omelette and hash cakes) sells itself. We opted for the breakfast bowl-like Big Bad Skillet. Eggs, potatoes and meats with cheese, served with the best biscuit we've ever had. Cat's head? Try tiger's head. Also excellent: the ham-centric Po' Boy. You'll pay for good food - $44 for three entrees with water before tax and tip -- but worth it. This is a new stop on our regular runs to Nashville. Ambiance: very stylish and modern; bonus points for the cracked egg shell lamps. Service: friendly and professional but overworked. Be ready to order when asked as they might give you a looong time to decide. The food alone is five-star.

So incredibly good! We came to lodge cast iron for their sale and decided to hit up breakfast/lunch before shopping. The staff were wonderful and assured us we would be done without issue of missing our scheduled time for the sale. We sat outside because the weather was amazing. It was nice and quiet considering the sale was a big draw to the area. So I am sure it's more traffic then is usually there. The waitress was amazing. The burger was excellent. My husband had the breakfast platter and loved it. Our kiddo had a cheeseburger and it was pretty big for kids portion. They were super busy but still offered top notch service. Next time we are in town we will be back again for more food.

Yeah, BBB is a chain and you can find them all over, but that doesn't mean they don't serve an excellent breakfast. We stopped at this location on the way to Cleveland, TN. BONUS!!! It's connected to the Lodge museum and factory. Really cool to see. The food was amazing. Both skillets were hot, delicious, and very filling. You won't be hungry after. The pancakes were also very good. Do I wish they offered pure maple syrup? Of course I do *shrug* BONUS pt. 2!!! You can buy the same skillets your meal comes in at the Lodge Store and recreate these dishes at the house. Seriously, if you're a fan of cast iron cooking you will want to stop here and check out the store and museum. Very cool, but I'm also kind of a history nerd. *more shrugging* The service was very good. Fast and friendly. T and I have never had a bad meal or bad service at any BBB. You won't be disappointed.

Old school breakfast burrito, yard work skillet, and French toast.

Food and service were incredible. Niki was so nice and patient when we were deciding on what to eat. Highly recommend coming here if you're visiting

Enjoyed a tasty lunch and company. Friendly staff and quick service. The menu has a large offering and breakfast/brunch and lunch offerings. The salad was just enough for me.

Pretty good food and great service. My parents and I had brunch together and we enjoyed our time here. I got the Screamin' Demon, my mom got the Yard Work skillet, and I think my dad got the Smash burger but I'm not certain on that. I loved what I ordered, the fried chicken piece in my sandwich was huge. It was crispy, I loved the texture and the special sauce in it was good too. I wish I had sauce on the side so I could have more of it. Portion size was good, I had a bunch of fries and leftover sandwich that I couldn't finish. My mom's entree was really good too. It was delicious and very filling. The biscuit was moist and tasty. Her food came in a cute mini skillet on top of a plate, I thought the presentation was so adorable and fitting for my mom. There were these lighting fixtures that were supposed to represent eggs, I found it so cute. Service was friendly. This is a great place to get brunch with the family, we loved it.

This restaurant is attached to the Lodge cast iron museum. I had read that there was a breakfast place here but never thought it would be any good, to my surprise it was very good! Our waitress, Madison, was so kind and attentive! She did an amazing job taking care of our table of 9! I had the BLT, phenomenal! One of my kids had a spicy chicken sandwich, he really enjoyed that! My husband had a skillet and he loved that! Overall it was a great experience! I recommend this restaurant even if you're not going to the iron cast museum or the store!

Waffle House is one of my favorite roadside stops for breakfast and lunch, open 24-7!! On my…read moretravels, I've stopped at many Waffle Houses located near highway exits including this Waffle House in Jasper, which is very popular with the truckers and travelers alike and offers good not fancy food at reasonable prices. The Texas Bacon Melts served with hash browns and the Buttermilk Waffles with butter & lots of syrup are pretty tasty! Currently in 2015, they offer Fifteen Meals For $5 Each (includes beverage), which is a pretty good deal on the wallet including 8 Breakfast and 7 Lunch/Dinner choices. While driving along I-24 heading from Chattanooga to Nashville, I stopped off at Exit 152 and pulled into Waffle House for lunch. I sat myself at the counter and the waitress with a charming Southern accent gave me a regular laminated menu and took my drink order. I asked for a Diet Coke and requested the Fifteen Meals For $5 Each Menu. For lunch, I decided on Grilled Cheese, Regular Bert's Chili and a Diet Coke for $5 plus tax. The food came out quickly served hot. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich was basic and good, the bread was buttered and grilled nicely on the outside with melted orange American cheese inside, cut into 2 triangles. The bowl of chili was hearty which had plenty of ground beef and beans, slightly on the salty side. Saltine crackers, dill pickle slices and mayo served on the side. The service here was very friendly and efficient. I was given refills on the ice cold Diet Coke and the waitress even offered me a to go cup filled with ice cold Diet Coke, which was a "nice gesture custom" (of Southern hospitality) unheard of back where I live in New England. I usually top off my own fountain soda cups at fast food restaurants. I definitely needed the ice cold Diet Coke for my drive to Nashville in the 88 degree summer heat.

Food is always great like home cooked. The service is always superb in the morning, and fun I might…read moresay. Ambiance is just super friendly.
