We have given this place many chances to get the pizza right. We either have to much black char on the bottom of the pizza or to much cornmeal which I know you have to use but you dont need THAT much. Also the pizza to much is just really tough to chew but the toppings, sauce and cheese are really good its just the dough I dont like. We do keep going back for the Bronx sandwich which is my personal favorite and comes with a side of your choice. Tasty sandwich with a great chicken cutlet seasoned well and plenty of sauce. It is a great sandwich. We did get the penne vodka pasta once before and it tasted like they didn't salt the water for cooking the pasta in which is unfortunate because the vodka sauce is wonderful. Would we go again? Yes for the Bronx sandwich. Love this place but it's very tight seating during prime time. Recommend getting your order to go but now that the weather is getting better, they have outdoor seating and that's what I would go for. Genuinely great experience for lunch this afternoon at Pizza 54. Our server Tyler was genuine, helpful, and a legitimate pleasure to dine with. His service was excellent, and the food was great. I had eaten here once before, and had no idea their lunch menu was such an awesome value, almost every entree on the menu was ten dollars or less, and thats rare for a place that makes everything in house with quality ingredients. I had a pair of slices and an appetizer of garlic parm fries. Both were great, and got me out the door for around $13 and completely full. I even went back to the kitchen to compliment the cooks. I will definitely be back to try the wings, and I genuinely can't say enough about how professional and helpful Tyler was. The man could be a server in Michellin star restaurant. After reading reviews of this spot (before going), I was convinced it was going to be a terrible experience ... But honestly, it wasn't at all. The ONLY reason one star was taken away is because it took a very long time for the pizzas to arrive at our table. Clearly this spot is understaffed (they have a sign out front stating they're looking for employees). If the food came out faster, I honestly think I would have given this spot 5 stars because... - My wings were exactly as I requested, EXTRA CRISPY and NAKED (they were tiny but I ordered 21 and ate about 15 of them and felt like that was the perfect amount) - My husband didn't complain about his pizza at all (he typically complains or has something to say about his food) - My son loved his pizza and ate the whole huge slice - My other son ate the French fries, without issue (he has food allergies and didn't have any reactions). - Our friend who came with us seemed to enjoy her pizza too Over all, I honestly would come back! We noticed this place had opened in the last ~6 months but had not tried it out. For some reason, we don't seem to gravitate towards the places in the connected plazas between Home Depot and MacDuff. We were in the mood for pizza and wanted something new. From the vague description, I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it might just be an order-at-the-counter scenario. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was regular table service. We opted to sit inside, though they also have some patio seating. We came here around 5:30 p.m. mid-week, so they were not super busy. A few other tables filled up while we were there and several people came by for take out. Our server was efficient and checked in periodically. We skipped appetizers and just split a vegetarian pizza. When it arrived, we noticed that it was quite thin. My wife likes thin crust, but this was one of the thinner crusts we'd gotten. That isn't a complaint, just more of an observation. This was almost like a flatbread pizza. The ingredients all tasted fresh and we liked the pie well enough. I'm not sure where this will end up placing in our restaurant rotation, but I'm glad we stopped by. read more

My family has Dairy and Gluten allergies and Pizza 54 offers cauliflower crust pizza (note make sure they do not add Parmesan on the dough for the dairy allergies. I love the size options, the dining room is small, but still nice for families. Think small-town "mom-pop" pizza. Still a fan favorite and a frequent lunch spot for me. Love their lunch specials cooked fresh to order. My husband's favorite is the Italian Chicken Club. It has fresh bacon aioli, chicken, arugula, and bacon. Literally, he orders it several times a week. I really want to love this place because 1) there are limited options for good food in the PTC/Fayetteville area, and 2) I'm originally from Connecticut and want to support them. However, if anyone really knows New Haven style pizza, this doesn't represent well. It's not even really New Haven style, to be honest. They didn't mind checking with the kitchen on two different questions we had. If I want a meatball Parmesan sandwich I will be going here. I hate fennel and lucky me they make the meatballs without Italian sausage. The sauce had just the right amount of tang and the cheese was a perfect amount. A well balanced meatball sub. But.....the side of pasta salad was very plain, nothing to give it that something special. Really enjoyed the unique pepperoni bread and the marinara had perfect tang. We also ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza which my two men said was kinda plain, not enough ingredients to spread the flavors and they didn't prefer the red sauce to the white sauce they usually get on a chicken bacon ranch. OK to Good pizza but sauce was very thin with no taste and meatballs were either crumbled or just some ground beef thrown on the top. They were generous with the ricotta. A friendly little pizza joint that offers the best thin authentic pizza this side of Antico in Atlanta. We had four pizza lovers sharing two pizzas, an antipasti salad and garlic cheese bread. We ALL raved over the quality, flavors and uniqueness of the pizzas. Excellent and best in town! The garlic bread was outstanding and the salad was huge and full of everything you would want.
