Nice to have a burger place at First Markham. It offers various burgers and poutine. I ordered the original poutine as I wanted to try it out. It was pretty decent for $5. I've also tried their burgers before and they were delicious. They take credit cards too which is a bonus.

Really love their burgers selection, especially the shrimp patty! Service is friendly and fast as well!

I still like this burger place a lot. Food quality and portions are both consistently good. Crispy chicken burger with crunchy skin and juicy meat. Simply addictive. Way better than those burgers from franchise chains. Real food, big difference. Highly recommended!

We ordered the pulled pork poutine. It was very tasty and plentiful as a small order.

Love coming here for my burger fix. Its a small shop in the FMP food court tucked away by the thai place. I believe it's family owned and the staff there are always friendly, patient and hard working. Their menu isn't large but everything is delicious! I love that for the combo they let you choose the side you want; fries. Sweet corn or salad. I also really like that you can choose the type of bun; regular, beet or charcoal bun. The bun is super fluffy, and they way they pack the burgers, nothing gets squished. Literally all their burgers are delicious but my personal favourites are: kimchi, shrimp, crispy chicken. Definitely worth a try!

Been ages since we ate at the food court at First Markham Place. A few changes but this place is still around. Menu consists of burgers, poutine, pastas and salad. All the meat protein burgers start at 7.25 (11.25 for a combo), they have a pulled pork burger that is about a dollar less and a shrimp burger that is a dollar more. The avocado burger is just over 5 bucks. Poutines come in regular and large. The kimchi burger and the bacon butter corn poutine was ordered. At time of ordering we were told it would be about 8 minutes. Verdict? Food was good and very fresh. Generous portion of kimchi in the burger and the lettuce, onion and tomato were very fresh. The bacon in the poutine was impressive, it was the thick sliced pieces and not the regular breakfast bacon you would normally expect. This is a nice option in a food court where options are mainly Asian.

Update : gave this place another shot since we were dining in this food court and felt like poutine. Im not sure if things changed since my last visit, but I now feel that the size was reasonable for the price. Poutine was tasty.

This place is not only out of place in FMP food court, it's uniquely better than most of the other places. Creative burgers and poutine place in a Chinese mall. Food - (4/5) - they have a good selection of unique burgers using a variety of proteins along with bun choices. Had the Beef Teriyaki and it was pretty good. Beef was cooked properly for taste and texture and the toppings and buns are good quality. The burger actually looks like the menu pictures lol. Service- (5/5) - very friendly and helpful with recommendations and answers. It's going to take longer than typical fast food burgers since they cook from scratch but not more than 10 min total. You can tell these guys really care about customer sat. Atmosphere- (3.75/5) - it's a food court so not much else to say. FMP keeps it pretty clean. Overall- (4.5/5) - I want to go back and try the other two burgers that people seem to rave about - Shrimp and Chicken burgers. It's not cheap stuff but worth the extra $2-3 imo.

4 STARS Got some errands done at FMP and noticed we haven't had lunch yet. mr.Tran got a shrimp burger and poutine, while I waited in line for something else. His order took 10 minutes to make since they make it fresh to order. The shrimp burger was really delicious, it came out hot, crispy and you can really see the shrimp in the burger. It tasted almost like the crab claw at Chinese wedding banquets, but in burger form. The bun was black which is different, but it was really soft almost like a brioche bun. The poutine was underwhelming and not the greatest. Fries weren't crispy and gravy was meh. The cheese was melted though. Burger is definitely worth a try, if you're ever sick of the rice box at FMP.

Hong Bo Burger & Poutine is a niche spot in the First Markham Place food court offering Asian-inspired burgers, fries, and poutine for a different option compared to the typical BBQ meats, fried rice/noodles, and dumplings you would typically lean towards ordering. The quality of the burgers was quite good as they have a few different options to mix and match your preference of colours and textures. Whether it's the beet or charcoal bun, you always have to go for the Shrimp Burger! The texture of the shrimp burger reminds me of the Shrimp Lobster Claw that you would enjoy at banquet menus with the right amount of seasoning in the mixture. There is the right amount of condiments which does not take away the overall flavour of the burger. I can't wait for my next visit!

Located at the First Markham Place food court. Gotta give them props for having the cajones to open up a burger/poutine place in an Asian food court. Been to First Markham Place food court more times than I can count, always went for their great Asian food selections but noticed this kiosk in the corner and decided to YOLO it based on previous reviews. Skeptically I ordered the crispy shrimp burger combo (choice of fries or salad, drink, $1 extra for ice lemon tea). Took approx 10 mins to cook up my order. Nice husband and wife operation Choice of either their original, charcoal or beet bun. Went with their original bun which was covered in sesame seeds. Bun was fluffy and moist. As Charlie Sheen would yell "winner, winner, shrimp burger dinner". Ladies and gents, we have a hidden gem. Instead of expecting the normal minced dense rubbery shrimp patty wrapped in a thick flavorless coating when ordering a shrimp burger, you get a nice thick fluffy soft moist chopped shrimp patty in a light coating giving it a nice crunchy crust. Seriously, no other shrimp burger can be compared to this gastronomical delight. Combined with the lettuce, mayo, onions, bun a perfect flavorful alternative to the normal hamburger. The char siu and crispy roast pork will have to go to the back of the line for today Btw, their fries are hand cut and plentiful.

It reminds me of Hong Kong. It's made to order. Their buns have three options: charcoal, beets, or spinach. Honestly, it doesn't have much flavor, and it's mainly for coloring. But it's so pretty. I love the crispy shrimp burger. It was so crispy and full of shrimp paste. Yum!

The thing that drew me to try Hong Bo was seeing the shrimp burger on the menu, as not many places offer this! This is what I ended up ordering for my first time here and I was not disappointed. The shrimp patty was so tender, you could really feel my shrimp used and this mouth-feel contrasted with how soft their buns were. Even though they only topped the burgers with lettuce, red onion, and mayo, it was very flavorful. For my second experience, I decided to try their crispy chicken burger. Unfortunately it did not compare to other places and/or how good their shrimp burger was. Even though the meat wasn't dry, it wasn't all too tender either. The batter was kept thin which was nice but could have been crispier and less greasy. The same condiments are on this burger as well, and again, it is flavorful enough. I love their bun options which include the original (sesame bun), beet, or charcoal. These are unique and so soft!

Service is super friendly and the restaurant itself is very clean and modern. There's also a window table with several high chairs, spacious enough for a handful of people. However, I did opt for take-out for this order. If you are ordering at the restaurant, make sure to pick up your sauces and utensils on the table by the counter! I've been to several katsu places such as Brown Donkatsu and Katsuya, but this one is at the top of the list for sure.I ordered the Dark Meat Chicken Katsu on rice, which is my usual order at these places. The chicken katsu is super crispy and tender - especially with the sauce that is generously drizzled onto it. Each order also comes with a free curry mayo, which is HEAVENLY when paired with the katsu! The serving size is also super generous, I couldn't finish it all even though I was pretty hungry. It comes with a side of coleslaw, although I'm not much of a coleslaw fan so I kind of just skipped it. The rice is perfectly fresh and hot, not at all mushy. I will definitely be coming back to try their cheese katsu on rice at a later date. Definitely do not sleep on Fat Ninja Bite, this place will perfectly curb your katsu cravings!

In short, it's not worth it; it didn't live up to my expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it. Be careful if you have kids with allergies because there's probably peanut dust all over the place. The burgers were a good size. The regulars have two patties while the little ones have just one beef patty. The fries were hot and fresh. We got some of the Cajun spice on the side so we were able to try it with and without. I prefer it without the Cajun spice. The poutine was good, although it could use a bit more cheese and gravy. We were gonna get a shake after we ate but we were so stuffed. We'll have to go back and try all the crazy shakes that they have. I ordered the burger "all the way," which is ketchup, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms, and I got some jalapenos on the side. But you can choose your own toppings. Service was fast and lots of parking in the plaza. I found 6ix Burgers offering various BOGO deals on burgers. I got the Argonauts burger combo. The Argos burger is indeed named after the Canadian Football League's team in Toronto. It consists of a beef patty stuffed with cheese. You select all topics you want to your heart's content. The combo defaults to fries and a drink. You can swap out the fries for other sides, such as mac and cheese, and jalapenos poppers. This place names its burgers after familiar Toronto sports teams, streets, highways, and landmarks. For instance, there's a DVP sandwich, which is a sunny-side-up egg and beef bacon with cheese. It's named after the Don Valley Parkway, a highway that is commonly known as the Don Valley parking lot because it's so congested with cars at a standstill during rush hour. Maybe it's not the best to name an item after the DVP. I'd still get this sandwich, though. I love bacon and an egg as a sandwich and more. I scheduled my food for pickup between 4 pm and 4:30 pm. I placed my order in Stouffville. It was ready just before 4 pm. Um, okay. This place is more than punctual! It made me run ten minutes late getting down to Markham. 6ix Burgers is in a plaza that I used to frequent often perhaps over a decade ago. It is located where Burger Factory used to be. I'm a bit sad that it closed. I never dropped by and I wish that I had. The Burger Factory that I go to the most is by my workplace in Mississauga. Despite the huge mounds of snow in the parking lot, I found a parking spot fairly close to the eatery and backed into it. I then walked into the place. There were to people sitting in a booth, waiting for their food. It was a good sign. I walked up to the counter, stated my name, and said that I had an Uber Eats order. The nice woman handed me a bag with a paper bag in it. She let me know that my food was in this bag and I could help myself to a couple of drinks in the fridge. I thanked her and wished her a good day. There was Barbican bottles in the fridge. I had specified Diet Coke and felt that it works best with burgers, so I got that instead. The Diet Coke was at the bottom. It's the perfect height for toddlers, but not for me! Anyway, I grabbed my drinks and placed them in my bag of food. I drove home for a super late lunch at practically 5 pm. I was ready for grub. Let's start with the fries. Although they looked limp and needed some sort of fries ressusitation, they were good. They had the right amount of seasoning. They were slightly crispy and limp, but creamy on the inside. I normally don't dig fries, but these were so good with the salt that I ate them without the ketchup that was in the bag. The Argos burger. If you like Burger Factory, think of this burger as the Juicy Lucy. The burger has cheddar cheese stuffed in it. You take a bite and the cheese oozes out. Highly delightful, yet messy, to eat. The beef was seasoned well. I got 6ix sauce, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and relish on my burger. I loved everything about it. The bun was soft and perfect to hold everything inside. Yum! I wish that I had added beef bacon, but this burger certainly hit the spot. All items on the menu are halal. This place was a great find. I hope to try the mac and cheese bites, or even mac and cheese as a side next time. I'm a fan. (51)

There's a few small tables and chairs, with a bathroom on the downstairs level. Our server was very patient and kind with us. She greeted us as soon as we walked in, provided us menus, and told us to call her over once we're ready. We ordered the steak and grilled chicken sandwich, along with fries on the side. The grilled chicken sandwich was filled with sauce, red onions, grilled onions, cheese, grilled chicken and mushrooms. As for the steak sandwich, it had steak, bacon bits, and sauce. In my opinion, the sauce and cheese was an overload which drowned out the flavour of the food. I couldn't quite taste the meat very well. It was a decent, packed sandwich, I would just recommend asking for little sauce and less cheese, so the other flavours stand out. The fries were crispy on the outside, and the sauce they came with was nice and creamy. I'd recommend splitting the sandwich between 2-3 people. I couldn't finish one on my own because of the large portion, so I decided to take the rest home. This would be a great spot if you're looking for large, filling meals, or leftovers that'll carry on for the next few days.

We used to love getting their Mac and cheese mutton rolls - they used to be so flavourful and a great fusion short eat. We were in the area and got their Mac n Cheese Mutton Rolls as well as their Butter Chicken Rolls and I can't express how disappointed we were. The Mac n Cheese Mutton rolls were underwhelming - it was as though they just added macaroni pasta to the mutton curry filling. It wasn't cheesy/creamy like it used to be. The filling was also underseasoned - missing salt, just not flavourful at all. The butter chicken roll was okay, again underseasoned. For $2.50 a roll, I expected a LOT better. We also got the Chicken Briyani. It didn't come with all the fixings like the Briyanis used to - no boiled egg, no fish cutlet. The rice was bland - almost like it was just rice and turmeric. The chicken curry was underseasoned like the rolls, not enough salt or flavour. The tandoori chicken leg was the only decent thing from this meal. The meal was disappointing, I regret buying it. Lastly, we got the viral banana pudding. I fell in looooove with banana pudding since I first had it from Confused Kitchen. This time, it wasn't bad but it wasn't the same. There weren't enough vaippan pieces and it wasn't as creamy as when it first came out. Again, I think they may have changed chefs because it's very obvious that the quality of food isn't the same as it used to be.
