The food was hot and fresh. They kept everything hot and full. The Hibachi was very good. Lots of options both surf and turf. The Sushi bar was small but very fresh. The dining area as well as the buffet line up was very clean. Our server was very attentive and polite! The biggest surprise was the price, $14.99. Hong Kong Buffet is one of the best Chinese buffets I've ever been too, no joke. There's not much curb appeal but inside, it's much nicer than the usual buffet. You'll find that it's tastefully decorated when you have to cross over a small bridge over a well-stocked koi pond to get in. Once in the dining area to the back, you will find comfortable seating and a nice, upscale Chinese buffet. This boofay offers a good selection of Chinese American food, a hibachi grill and a beer and wine bar. The hot buffet is quite good with pan after pan full of well stocked, nicely seasoned, fresh and hot dishes featuring beef, chicken, and shrimp proteins. My top 3 favorites: Teriyaki Chicken Skewers with big thick portions of juicy, succulent meat Spicy Shrimp in Butter Sauce with just the right savory kick. General Tso's Chicken that is hot, juicy and crispy on the outside. Good food, with good prices make this a place I'll revisit soon. read more

$13.99 for all day Sunday buffet + 7.75% tax. Got here little after 11am, wasn't the first one lol... got seated and asked for water. As usual, walked around to see what they had. I could tell they were still preparing food and brining them out, as there were some spots that were empty. Additionally, sushi rolls took some time to come out, so I would recommend you come around 11:30am or thereafter - they should have all the food items out by then. They had your usual offering you'll find at any Chinese buffet joints. I did find that they had more seafood items then others - counted like five different shrimp dishes - they had my favorite - "Salt & Pepper shrimp" What they lacked was temperature control of their food items. Green bean was cold, salt & pepper shrimp and other items that I tried were lukewarm. They only had three sushi roll options when I went up for the first round, but by 12pm, they had more sushi rolls. Looks like nigiri doesn't come out during lunch. The low mein was meh, lacked flavor. I would recommend is you go to the hibachi area, place the low mein noodles on a plate and ask them to add the hibachi sauce - the noodles flavor goes up 10 fold. However, stay away from the beef from the hibachi table, it was very tough and chewy. Overall, good amount of selection, decent flavors however the food temperatures were either cold or lukewarm. Not bad for $15.07 with tax. Come after 11:30am when all the food items are out. Service was decent and plenty of parking spaces. read more

In my opinion the best Chinese Buffet in Toledo. They offer Hibachi, Traditional and Sushi. You traditional banquet Hall decor with a nice bridge to cross as you enter. My favs on the buffet are the chicken wings (5 spice and so crispy), shrimp with cream(not sure the actual name) so sticky, gooey, yet crispy, chicken on a stick and the Hibachi; chose your own and hard to go wrong. The Sushi is service station quality; satisfying but bland. Green beans and mushrooms are delicious. Skip dessert unless you get an almond cookie. read more

It's just about what youd expect from a Chinese buffet in a smaller city. There is a good amount of items to choose from so you will most likely get full if you even try to eat a couple bites of half of them. Most of the items were missing a lot of typical flavors of that dish but eh, what do you expect. I can't believe they have sushi, let alone nigiri. It was the saddest looking thing though. As far as Asian buffets go this one is excellent. Pricing is reasonable and ambiance in is inviting . Some of the buffet food was held too long, but overall everything was great. It was refreshing to get Crab Rangoon that actually tasted like crab, while probably artificial crab (fresh crab is rare in Toledo) it was reasonably fresh and quite good. read more

We went here in hopes it was as good as the others in town we have been too on zoo trips . O how we lived to regret this. We were a group of four on a Sunday. We should of known better when we went to the bathroom and our shoes were sticking to the floor .Upon walking out we saw that one full buffet table was off or down. So that took at least 8/10 feel of options off the table. There are sign's everywhere "may be charged more for un eaten food " Sadly we learned why this was apparently such a large enough problem for them they posed signs every 6 feet it seemed . Just a thought Still we had to risk the charge VS our health the sushi was just as warm as the food and thats not saying much as it was tepid/room temp meaning we now knew why one full Buffett table was off....... They were broken maybe.? Even if they weren't they were most surely not keeping the correct items cold or hot!! . The only high point was the chicken wings and what i would say the normal staples are .They were actually hot ie: generals/sweet and sour/ pepper chicken etc. Now if thats because the equipment was working right or just faster turnover of the food i don't know but we kept out selections to that after the sushi tasting experience! The frog legs were ice cold,broccoli tepid, chicken on a stick cold, ice cream freezer door top was wide open with the mint chocolate chip mixed in with what looked like sherbet! They were so lazy they just threw a box of cookies on top of the warming buffets and actually had a tray of what looked like frigging unwrapped Swiss rolls from the dollar store next door LOL!!!!that was a first!!!!!! The employees along with what we believe was the male owner were more concerned with siting down for dinner and watching their phone then working. The meat in the hibachi tray was still a frozen cube so we dared not try that route. All and all it was a terrible experience and halfway home all of our stomachs felt off. The place looked nice and hoped for better but between all this there was also a man at the corner outside yelling the whole time we were there on a bullhorn and sadly a man living out front 2 doors down on the sidewalk In the end our family didn't feel safe or well fed and were from Detroit so thats sayin a-lot!!!! After calling and looking at other restaurants which were closed on Mondays or take away only we settled on HKB. The selection was amazing. Sushi, hibachi grill, and the normal buffet selection. I had sushi, and a delicious dish of fake crab, celery in a cram sauce. I took small portions of a variety of offerings that were unfamiliar to me. Everything tasted good. The best was the almond cookie. I'm used to dry, crisp cookie but this was soft chewy and had good flavor. I would try this place if I visit here again. read more

I was about to give this cute little gem 5 stars but once the check came I saw that it was definitely pricier than I expected for a decent buffet - although those are very hard to find. This one had many dishes that were better than other restaurants but other dishes that were below the quality of others. Egg rolls were extremely crunchy and almost funky but the crab Rangoon was delicious! the vegetable lo mein was a bit rubbery but their dessert variety was great! Buffet was clean and had a variety of food for everyone. All my coworkers were happy with lunch.

Waitress known as May, she has short hair and was extremely rude to us. My boyfriend decided to give her a small tip because she was way too rude. After this, like a minute we packed to leave and she saw the tip and asked him to come back in and charged him the entire meal again. We knew this was because of the tip. I asked why he was paying twice when he already paid, she ran off didn't even apologize and my boyfriend got cheated. Luckily, I believe the manager was very kind and but my boyfriend's refund is $0.00. Went there once for lunch and the buffet was was a little less than mediocre. Decided to give it a try and went in with my two little ones. To begin, the entire food service area smells of straight human urine. Like literally one side of the line to the other, the smell was so strong we tried grabbing what we could to get away from it. The food in itself was terrible, everything we ate except the French fries were old and cold, the fried salt and pepper shrimp literally turned into liquid pasty mush in our fingers as we tried peeling, the sushi was old, the rice was hard and crunchy. My family and I have been to Hong Kong buffet many times. We are white and where American Indian and we are a Korean also and we never had a problem. So It might be in a persons head that there's an issue. Sometimes people are just too sensitive. As far as the food goes and the service was great. And what a great selection of different foods prepared at the restaurant. And it's kept very fresh. I also like the fact that they have a person watching the buffet to make sure that people don't go up and use their fingers to pick food out of a dish that's not just their own. Follow me as that's just ridiculous I've seen that happen in other restaurants no wonder illness spreads. But at Hong Kong buffet we feel very safe all of my family. when you're in the mood for some cheap Americanized chinese buffet food, Hong Kong Buffet hits the spot. they have a decent selection of dishes, from lo mein, to fried shrimp, to hibachi, to sushi, for the price.
