I forget the name, but it's under chef specialties. Something with "Stars". Shooting stars? It's chicken, scallop, shrimp, vegis, sauce.

The cheapest and nicest lunch you'll find in Bowling Green, Ohio. This is the type of place where you can become a regular, and order "the usual". The owner couple are very kind and are always pleasant to talk to and share a few stories with. They are the only workers and chefs in the establishment, so don't expect service to be rapid and fully attentive to only you. Regardless of it only being two workers for their small restaurant, she manages to serve, talk, pour, and joke around very well. My family is on first name basis with them, and we hug and laugh whenever we visit. The plates are a fair size for one person. I wouldn't say to share with others unless specifically noted, but the lunch will fill you up for a very cheap price. I think it's between 11:00-15:00, lunch is less then $5, and it'll come with a spring roll and a soup as well. The place is usually busier during the lunch specials. Drinks are in the can for soda (no refills), and there are also some fruit mixes, and hot tea. There is a variety of dish choices, but it'll most likely be what you are already imagining in your mind. Seating is limited, as it is a small location with not too many tables. The lighting is very dark with a red overtone. So don't expect to be the most comfortable or lavish, but it's thrives on its simplicity. A simple Chinese restaurant with arguably the best prices in town. Even outside if the lunch time, prices are still very affordable. For $20 you could probably have a feast here, and a much healthier one compared to fast food.

Definitely qualifies as a hole in the wall, but the interior is far better-looking than the exterior.

Food good; service average; ambiance strange, due to odd red lighting; owner (assuming) was very nice, just a bit slow to be waited on.

Best Chinese in Bowling Green! Locally owned and a nice family. Daily specials are the best lunch deal in BG.

Good food, nice owners, not much to say. It's a small place owned by an old couple. Also not expensive.

We've been here twice now. None of the dishes disappointed. We order off the authentic menu. They even have a "special" authentic menu that is seen only when you enter the restaurant. I think they are Cantonese. They don't skimp on portion sizes. Dishes are flavorful. Authentic menu is indeed AUTHENTIC. We asked 1 - low salt, 2 - low oil, 3 - no MSG and these preferences were honored. They even called back saying one of the dishes was a bit heavy in oil so that we could potentially order something else. They called us when the takeout order was ready. The Midwest needs more restaurants like these. If I lived closer I would come way more often. Best of all you get this for a very fair price point. It is not the inflationary/expensive price for low-quantity sub-par asian food you see now-adays. Come here if you are near the area. Ambiance is average and unassuming, like most great Chinese restaurants!

Don't expect the world's best anything - you are picking up freshly-cooked food defensively - anything you get here will be better than the gas station taquitos or the Arby's roast beef sandwich binge you will regret in 30 minutes. But to be clear, it's not going to be particularly great. Something about the time of day that I pass by through this area gets me so excited to toss in a pickup order just to see what I get. The Singapore-style Mei Fun is reliable. Get it plain without the Singapore curry spice if you're more suspicious. lol. Anything like String Beans with Garlic, or Beef with Broccoli, is going to be perfectly acceptable for a road warrior like you. The location, consistency, and ease of triangulation with regards to ordering over the phone (or having your shotgun passenger order) about 10 minutes before you reach this Hwy exit merits a solid 4-star review. The food is 3-star ish, but the mere existence of this place warrants a bonus "Oasis" star.
