    Chicken shrimp and beef

I used to love coming here, but I tried to order today and mostly everything was correct but two entrees. One was made with vegetables even though we requested none. When we called they told us we were wrong and didn't request no vegetables. The second entree's sauce was congealed and it was almost like the meat was encased in gelatin. It was stuck together and jiggly. When we brought this up as well they brushed it off and are refusing to make it right. I told them I'd bring the entrees back if they could just remake them but they're calling us liars. Sadly I won't be coming back

    Disgusting chicken fried rice

This place is terrible not to mention dirty. Chicken fried rice was very questionable. Flavorless, soggy "spicy" general chicken. Don't waste your time on this place. Also the cook was wearing a sleeveless shirt making me wonder about some armpit hair in my dish.

If you like Sam's club chicken, mushy "beef", raw shrimp and not cooked/gummy dumplings, eat here. Everything was disgusting.

Disappointed in the new ownership. The entrees that I have ordered are pretty flavorless. The service is prompt.

Among the best Vegetarian and Vegan options for Chinese food in Cheyenne. We've been eating here…read moresince 2001 and one of the things we appreciate is that they have been very willing to make meatless versions of dishes for us, substiting tofu for the meat protein in almost any dish and being clear about when that is not possible such as soups made with a fish stock, chicken stock, or sauce made with a beef stock. For us this started with being able to get a Kung Pao Tofu, and now we frequently enjoy Vegan versions of Singapore Chow Mei Fun, Spicy Basil Tofu with Vegetables, Vegetables Mu Shu with Tofu added, and Vegetable Bean Curd Soup made with a meatless stock and added fresh ginger. There items no longer on the menu which they also make upon request such as Vegetables Egg Foo Yong (vegetarianbut not vegan). A friend like added fried tofu so while their is a small added charge for the added tofu it still remains a bargain. They cook the tofu either fried or soft per your stated preferences. Likewise if you want something Vegan, just let them know to leave out egg. From the beginning with a different owner in the past they avoid using MSG, and offer a "healthy menu" which uses less oil and less salt. Truth is those versions are also less tasty but if you are trying to be more careful about what you are eating they are there and better than most other places with similar options. While the family and the servers frequently speak limited English they are going to serve Americanized versions of Chinese cooking which still is among the better outside of San Francisco or New York. They strike a balance between their native China and Wyoming, doing it well and try to accommodate customer preferences as much out of sense of hospitality as business savy. This is a real bargain for eating out with most vegan or vegetarian dinner entrées or lunch plates under $13 in 2025. Portions are generous. We share an entrée bring home the remaining half, and have a meal to share as "leftovers". They used to have brown rice but no longer do due to a combination of lack of requests for it and no doubt costs. If it's something you would like, ask, even if they don't have it, it let's them know it's some customers would like to see return to the menu. Golden House offers tasty vegetarian and vegan options in an unpretentious atmosphere. It is located in downtown Cheyenne across the street from a city parking garage and usually there is also street parking available nearby. If there is something you would like and you don't see it on the menu or if you need a dish prepared in a different way, ask. One of our favorite not on the menu dishes is Vegetable Singapore Noodles Chow Mei Fun, a golden curried thin rice noodle we order without egg to make vegan, and we have them add steamed tofu to it.

I'm going to give it a three. I walked in, place was dead. Portions were good size. I got full off…read moreof the large egg drop and half of the main dish. You could get the small for a main and get away with it.

I asked for take out and was given a small cardboard take out container that was divided with 3 places for food. When I asked for take out, the guy at the counter handed me the container and told me "No steak!" What irritated me was that he watched me as I went through to get my food (the register is near the buffet line) as if I was going to try to sneak some steak into my plate. There was a good selection of food. I picked up a little of several items. Since I read the reviews, I added some General Tso's chicken. My mistake was that I saw some red jello in the salad bar and had a craving for jello, so added it to my plate. When I went to pay, the guy opened my container, just to make sure I didn't take steak. When I handed him the money, there was not a thank you or smile. When I got back to my hotel room, I opened the container and the jello had melted all over my food! I hardly ate anything, nothing really tasted good, except for the General Tso's chicken. Suggestion to the restaurant - offer a small container for jello or cold things. It can still fit inside the take out container, but would help to keep things from running together. If I do go back, I'll skip the jello and load up on the General Tso's chicken.

Avoid This Buffet - A Sad Excuse for Chinese Food…read more I'm honestly struggling to find anything positive to say about my experience here. I've given buffets the benefit of the doubt before, but "China Buffet" was a new low. The entire meal felt like a lesson in disappointment. Let's start with the food quality, or lack thereof. Nothing tasted fresh. The eggrolls were limp and soggy, like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The sweet and sour chicken and other fried items had completely lost their crunch, becoming a chewy, greasy mess. It's a cardinal sin for fried food to be soggy at a buffet. The issues didn't stop there. Several of the hot dishes, like the lo mein and a beef stir-fry, were barely lukewarm. Even more concerning, some of the meat items, particularly the pepper steak, had an "off" taste that made me think they were old and had been sitting out far too long. I took one bite and left the rest on my plate. My advice to the owner is simple: Focus on quality and freshness over quantity. It doesn't matter how many dishes you have if none of them are appetizing. The staff should be constantly checking the buffet lines--stirring food, replenishing items with fresh batches, and most importantly, throwing away food that has been sitting out for hours. Just because the restaurant was slow during my visit doesn't mean it's acceptable to serve old, unappetizing food. I really wanted to like this place, but I won't be returning. Save your money and your stomach; there are much better options out there. One last thing, get rid of your ice cream freezer, it looks like that's where you put all the dead body parts.

I've tried lots of different pad Thai dishes in different places and this is definitely one of my top picks. So so yummy! After waiting in a long line while the team juggled DoorDash orders and in-person customers, the same girl who always gives me subpar service took over my order. All I needed was a simple bowl: fried rice and orange chicken. That's it. Jessica acknowledged my order, then passed me off. While I waited, I watched her immediately prioritize the person behind me, physically pulling them in front of me to check them out--while I stood there. It wasn't just oversight. It was dismissive, intentional, and it happens in some way every single time I come in. There's no excuse for this level of disregard. If one employee can make a loyal customer hate coming to what used to be their favorite chain, there's a serious problem.
