A full bar, pool table and Chinese food. Not bad at all as a local hang out spot if you're looking for a place to grab a cool drink and hang out and watch games. But I f you're a foodie and looking for tailor dining experience, you might want to explore other options. Peace.

Lunch special, pork egg foo young, pork fried rice, and pork chow mein

This was my first time at Hong Kong Garden. I can see why this place has been here since the 80's and a true staple of Anacortes. All honesty this is some of the best Chinese food I have had. The taste, quality and presentation of food is spot on. Even with one server at the time I went in with my brother, service was absolutely amazing, checked on us throughout our visit, was very open to answering questions about things on the menu, very tentative even having to multitask. The atmosphere was very peaceful and calm where you can actually conversate where you don't feel like you are shouting. This place is definitely a must try if you are in the Anacortes area and craving excellent Chinese food, with good portions at a good price. I highly recommend the pork egg foo young, that is what I ended ordering on the lunch special side.

Sweet and sour pork and "pork chow mein"

The WORST Chinese food I have ever had. The so called "pork chow mein"consisted of only vegetables which were bland (literally tasted of nothing) and a very small amount of ground pork. There was a TINY portion of "noodles" (I'm not sure what they were but definitely not noodles) that were awful and also tasted of nothing. The sweet and sour pork looked pink to me as well. The fried rice had about 4 tiny pieces of pork and it was dry. It also made me feel sick afterwards The staff over the phone was rude as well. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

First of all I waited to post this since people have complain of food poisoning. We did not get sick and the food & service was wonderful. We ordered two #6 family plate and hot and sour soup. All the food came out hot. Each entree we tried was just as good as the one before. Prices were reasonable (less than what were paid for breakfast this morning!) The place was clean and our service was great, with a positive attitude and smile. We will be coming back again.

    The giant egg roll!

While the quantity of food is great for the price, the quality can be hit or miss. I wish there was a bit more variety in the dishes too. I've had the orange and honey garlic chicken but they're basically the same breaded chicken with a different sauce. On this visit, I ended up with honey garlic, orange and go-chu-jang, a spicy version. I don't eat pork and the only beef option was broccoli beef which looked to have more broccoli than beef. The chicken dishes were fine but just felt a bit repetitive. As for the chow mein and fried rice, I definitely prefer the chow mein as the rice seemed a bit off to me. Maybe it's a different type of rice than I'm used to in Chinese food.

We are from Oklahoma, so we don't frequent this area. We were delighted that Manchu took the casino food vouchers we were given. We chose to share a 3 Entree plate. On this day, we were able to pick Orange Chicken, Broccoli and Beef, and Go-Chu-Jang Chicken. Our server was so accommodating. She offered to give us a half order of rice, and a half order of noodles when she realized we were sharing. I'm telling you, this food is good!

The…read moreSunday All Day buffet is priced at $23.99 and we thought it was well worth it because of the variety. The service is pretty standard and the staff were able to clear our plates relatively quickly. This is a Chinese or Asian style buffet, and we loved the Asian style fusion foods. There were rows and rows of food choices. Some of the trays were of hot food like ribs or fish, fried foods, various seafoods, a salad bar, sushi and sashimi bar, desserts or fruits, and even a DIY grilling station where you can choose your own meats or proteins, veggies, or noodles, and they'll freshly stir fry it on a hot stone flat grill top! The various seafoods included shrimp, clams, baked oysters, crawfish, and deep fried crab. My favourite was probably the sushi bar with many different rolls, nigiri sushi, sashimi, and sashimi salad. They also have an unlimited soft serve machine. All in all, a great lunch with amazing variety and portions!

They didn't have much to choose from either. No beef dishes as I can recall except the roast. Other than that it was mainly chicken dishes. They had some seafood dishes, but weren't fresh of course. They had seafood boil that had a few lobster halves, snails and crab legs, but it always ran out as soon as they filled it. People would just dig for it and leave the rest like the potatoes and corn. Luckily I was able to grab a few crabs and half of a lobster after the 4th fill. I did have a few baked oyster that was good. The place was semi decent when it came to cleanliness. The people that worked there were nice. They did have a Mongolian grill. Other than that, I will cut this review short because there wasn't anything phenomenal about this restaurant.

Fantastic, expansive dining room- this dine in restaurant has extravagant decor and a lovely wall of bourbon and whiskey to entice you! The menu has family style entrees to share- and yes, you can make up to 2 substitutions. With my pesky food allergy, I ordered the shrimp with mixed vegetables plate and the boys went with the family style for 2. I also enjoyed a cocktail from the bar- a raspberry lemon drop martini, very delish. I had crab and cheese wontons for an appetizer- shared with my son. Lumpia as another appetizer shared across the table was also perfection in every bite. John and Eddie had egg rolls, bbq pork as appetizers for their family style. As well as won ton soup that was loaded with veggies! I had a bit of the soup too- delicious broth! I should note- food was coming out so fast- we had ordered the two appetizers first and they were out before we ordered our meals! The courses started coming and coming! Next up for the men- a huge dish of fried rice and sweet and sour pork & chicken and cashews. I benefited with some fried rice too. Needless to say, it was a ton of food and we had leftovers- which came in handy the following day when we crashed early! We even ordered won ton again to go on another night that we turned in early! OH! Almost forgot- the fortune cookies are the best I have ever had, obviously made in house!
