    California Roll with Spicy Mayo
    Madisyn S.

Before meeting my partner, I had never been to Teriyaki Time but when she introduced me to it - it was love at first sight. I ALWAYS order a California Roll with Spicy Mayo, and it had been normal- I'd order, there would be a cup on the side with my sauce, however the last time I went, I had some trouble. I'm an arm amputee and while I can use chopsticks to grab and dip, sometimes my wrist gives out. I don't think they knew this but we went recently (my third time there) and the sauce was beautifully laid out on the sushi for me. There's a large chance that they just did it because they are trying new plating methods or whatnot but even then, their service and attention to detail is TREMENDOUS. I 100% recommend this place, their food is always delicious and they are always quick with everything.

We came for the ramen . There's not many restaurants that serve ramen so when a friend of friend sent a picture of her ramen we immediately decided that's where we were having dinner. We also ordered slalom teriyaki, sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice. Everything was great for each of our families cravings.

    Teriyaki chicken with gyoza.

Teriyaki time was a great place to get some tasty large portions to fill you up. There was speedy service and very little wait for your food as well. I had the chicken teriyaki and gyoza combination lunch. The gyoza was great! So tasty. I enjoyed that the most out of my plate for sure. The chicken teriyaki was also good but I do prefer my teriyaki to have more of a saucy quality to it. These were a bit dry for me, personally. But still good. And the portion of rice was great. The salad was not a throwaway either. Next time I am visiting Anacortes I think I will try the sushi here. It seems to be popular among other reviewers. As for others looking to try it out, just remember if you come here to come hungry!

The Sushi chef is a food artist! I love this place!

Pretty good flavors. Not super friendly. Convenient and relatively quick. A walk by the water afterwards is the best part.

The ambiance is standard, and very clean. We had the broiled mackerel, sanchu, veggie pancake, kimchi stew, and some Kalbi ribs. Everything was very flavorful and spiced perfectly. We ordered the dinner for 2 on a separate occasion, and it actually fed our family of 4! (2 younger kids) This is definitely my go-to Korean food spot!

We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.
