My main issue here is the price discrepancies. I've taken several screenshots to show the various price differences AND my receipt from when I walked in to order. It's a bit frustrating to see all the false advertisement of pricing and nothing being done about it The service was pretty decent for a carry out order, you have to walk to the back when you walk in which may be intimidating for some people. You are literally the center of attention when walking to the back. The shrimp fried rice is good, I asked for water chestnuts and I guess that upset the cook because that's ALL that was in there honestly. I don't care for the shrimp egg foo young here because it's on the OUTSIDE of the foo young patty instead of INSIDE. Decent parking but it is across the street from the park the homeless people hang out at so beware of that as well I ordered again through uber eats! As you can clearly see from the walk in , shrimp is 3.00, not sure how my price jumped so high. It's like they change the price whenever they want to. This is still our favorite place for hot and sour soup. The family special is the classic meal with soup, appetizers, fried rice and two entrees. This is an old-fashioned but reliable place and service is always good. They do a very robust to go business and I see a sign advertising DoorDash delivery. Between the hubster & I, we had pork fried rice, chicken egg foo young, teriyaki chicken sticks and iced tea to drink. Everything was tasty. The pricing was good and the portions were good sized. We had enough for take home. The iced tea was brewed perfectly (sometimes places overbrew & it comes out bitter). The waiter was nice and gave us a little time since it was our first time here and we were looking the menu over in detail. I drink a lot, so he kept on top of my (3) refills, too. The whole place was clean, including the restrooms (clean enough & stocked well). When we asked for the to-go containers, I was able to get my hands on a to-go cup as well for their yummy tea. All in all a great visit. I'm not sure how often I'll find myself in Casa Grande, but I will be back at this place if I do end up close again. read more

Was trying to find a good spot for Chinese takeout and am so happy to have found this place! Casa Grande doesn't offer many Asian food and it gets frustrating feeling like I have to drive to Chandler/Mesa to get good Asian food.. so this place is a GEM especially since I just moved here! The food is great, the prices are great (the lunch hours are the best deal!!!) the place is clean and the food isn't too oily. I've always had issues with Chinese food to be extremely oily but this one is great and made FRESH. I'm surprised this place isn't poppin' but I hope they get the love they deserve! I ordered their Mongolian Beef, Four Seasons, 2 Eggrolls on their lunch special, which comes with fried rice, eggrolls, crab puff and your choice of hot & sour, egg drop or wonton soup. I personally liked the egg drop soup a teeny bit more than their wonton soup as most ones I've had would have a hint of white pepper and wish their Mongolian Beef was just a little bit spicier. OMGGGGG! This is only the second time I have ordered here, and each time has been such a great experience! Staff is always so friendly and welcoming, their prices are beyond reasonable for the quality of the food and the portions. Everything is always super hot and fresh! Yep after over 15 years of visiting this Hon Kong Kitchen everything is still the best. the menu items and favors have always delivered great taste. and yes, consistency is very important. several restaurants we have visited are great the first time but when we went back not the same taste the foods we enjoyed were not spiced the same or the meats were over cooked or the chicken was in big hunks and dry. There aren't a particularly huge choice of eateries in Casa Grande, and most of what they have are chains. Hong Kong Kitchen is a pleasant exception. The restaurant is clean, open and airy. They have a large number of lunch specials from $10-13, and a menu that should satisfy nearly anyone. The service is fast and friendly, and our meals were tasty, hot and fresh, crispy veggies, and an excellent portion for the price. Give it a try, you'll be glad. read more

The service is great. I usually get a lunch & go pick it up. Seems like it is a hit or miss. I like the spicy dishes. The Mongolian beef was the first thing I ordered and loved it. The spice level was perfect. Since I enjoyed it so much I've ordered it a few times. I don't think ANY spice was in it. Unfortunately it was very lackluster. The last time I ordered it, it was almost ALL onions. I had to search for the beef. I've always ordered something from the menu that has a little chili graphic, indicating that it's spicy. I've been coming to Hong Kong Kitchen for over 10 years, and it's still just as delicious every time. My go-to dish is the Mongolian beef, usually as a lunch or dinner special--it comes with fried rice, a crab puff, and an egg roll, which makes it a great value. The orange chicken and General Tso's chicken are also really tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. If you don't have time to dine in their very chill establishment you can always call ahead as they do a great job with customer service. read more

We usually have a lot left over but didn't have any here and paid the same price as we would at another place we enjoy and would get a lot more food. Very large portions, even off of the lunch menu. By large I mean we ordered Kung Pao chicken and Cashew Chicken off the lunch menu and a regular order of Mongolian Beef which we thought we would take home for dinner. I now have enough food in my house we could eat it for three days straight. Oofta. The chicken is super tender, and the Mongolian beef has a great flavor to it. The wanton soup is very good too and they have the good crispy noodles to put in it. We also ordered deep fried dumplings which were just okay, but overall the meal was fantastic. They don't skimp on the msg however, so it you don't handle that well you will want to ask them to hold off on it. I gave this place four stars for the food, and they would have gotten a fifth if I didn't have to look around for the waiter constantly, and then have to get up to get my own to go containers when he couldn't be found. read more

When my dad took a bite of their Mongolian beef. There was little stones... which means they either dropped and put it back on the plate. He had to spit them out! My 71 year old dad never took another bite and we complained that there stones and they even made sure and verified it was stones., yup it was stones! We enjoy the food here. The food is consistent and hot. Clean large dining room. Staff are always prompt and courteous.

So I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice. Which for the price they are charging and the serving size it's a steal. Only thing is I wish the chicken was cut more instead of huge chunk. The employees were really helpful. They ask you at the door if you're picking up or eating inside. Also the place isn't ever busy so come when you want. It's a small place. But I like that. One if the worse Chinese food restaurants I have ever eaten at I ordered shrimp egg foo young with a shrimp egg roll the food came and there is no shrimp inside the patties the patties are very small there is no gravy to go over the patties all you have is some shrimp on the outside of it with some cabbage. The shrimp egg roll on the patties are soaked in some kind of sauce this is this has to be the worst Chinese food restaurant I've ever ate at I tried them about 8 years ago when I first moved here and their food was horrible then I thought by now they would have changed but I do not recommend this place to anybody their food is just downright horrible any other Chinese food restaurant in town will definitely beat this place. read more
