Lady didn't understand anything I was talking about gave me the wrong order and I was over charged, won't go back

This restaurant is under new management I believe as of this year. All I can say is, the owners have always treated us like family. They remember who we are and remember what drinks we normally order every time we come in. This Chinese restaurant doesn't have the grand selection compared to the other Chinese restaurant, however, in my opinion- what they do have is definitely homemade and amazingly good. I can honestly say that this restaurant deserves a 5 star review. The customer service is OUTSTANDING and the quality of food is amazing. What this restaurant has that the other Chinese place doesn't have is, you have the option to get the buffet for the standard price OR you can order from the menu. When you order from the menu, the portions are very generously sized. The seats are a lot more comfortable than the other Chinese place. This restaurant is very clean. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice place to sit down and enjoy a good meal with outstanding customer service. read more

Just go somewhere else! The "all day buffet" means the food has been there all day. My preference of steamed white rice was not available on buffet. The fried rice was crispy. It had dried back nearly to level it was in the bag. read more

I haven't been to Hong Kong Palace in the last 6 months because it just wasn't the greatest Chinese food. I decided to try it again tonight and ordered take out for my family. Let me just say that the food was a major improvement! The Kung Pao chicken was perfect and the General Tso chicken was amazing. We all loved the cream cheese Rangoon's. Not only was the food great but the staff was very friendly. We will be sure to make this our regular place for great Chinese! read more

So I've been frequenting this place since I was a kid. The food is good for Beeville, I will not lie. Is there better Chinese places? Yes. Are they in Beeville? Nope. As a general note, this is a buffet place usually, but if you just ask, you can order off the menu as well. I've gotten into the habit of doing that and have noticed the food is much better than off the buffet. I tend to enjoy their egg drop soup a lot, but I know it's not for everyone. The dumplings are good along with their spring rolls and lo mein. They have a lot of fried fare as well, but that's what you get on the buffet. Overall, on good terms with the folks there and the food gets my Chinese craving, so what's not to like? read more

I travel all over the state, and this used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant (surprised as you are that it would be in Beeville). I've been going there for 15 years and always put Beeville on the route for trips to South Texas and looked forward to the food. However, since new ownership took over, the food has done a 180. This restaurant used to have the most unique egg rolls and recipe for battered chicken. Now all of the food is very bland and pale looking. The egg rolls seem like they just got off a Ben E Keith truck, with the rest of the food tasting even less flavorful. If they brought back some of the old recipes I could give them a visit. I've gone 3 times since the change and the food has gotten less spectacular each time. I'm sad to see such a staple go down the drain of mediocrity. read more

I take it all back!! Went there today- first visit since the new owners took over and it was horrible! The lemonade was so weak and tasted like crystal lite. All the food was bland and odd-colored! The sweet and sour chicken pieces were mostly breading. Even the plain white rice was odd.. Like they washed it and washed it so the starch was all washed off and it didn't stay together. I will not be back! Still better than New China because at least they are clean.. but the food is not good at all. read more

I don't believe I've ever experienced bad Chinese food before this unfortunate dinner. I was in Beeville on business and for some reason was craving Chinese food (I should have known better I know). It appears the place was being run by a mother daughter team. The daughter was waiting tables and was very nice and working very hard. I ordered pan seared dumplings and decided to have the buffet. The buffet was terrible, most of the food seemed like it had been there since lunch. The fried rice was all dried out and stuck to the pan. The Kung Pao Chicken didn't take right to me, even the dumplings weren't that great and came with some weird sauce that I had never experienced before either. read more
