Homesick but it's alright. The #B is on my mind. She's on my mind. It's the simple, small pleasures in life that will always transcend time. The first cold drink at the start of a well earned vacation. The smell of a sunny day after a night of rain. Laying next to the river by the bayou with a sweet summer breeze and a fishing pole. So goes the #B combination from Hong Kong Chop Suey. More of a work of art than a meal, really. And a hell of a great work of art. Trust me, I've been to the Sistine Chapel and have marveled at Michealangelo's skill and pondered even attempting to comprehend the dedication and focus it must have taken to finish what is considered to be the pinnacle of religious artistry. Well, that 'drawing' pales in comparison to the force that is the #B. The #B is the brainchild of a genius, yet reclusive artist a'la Van Gough, who obviously demands privacy. As it is certain one call by HKCS to the Food Network offering this chefs services would result in Bobby Flay being thrown out of the nearest window while simultaneously being bitch slapped with his pink slip. (wow, what a great visualization that is). Rarely these days, with the pervasiveness of racism and bipartisan politics, do you see objects collaborate in such seamless fashion. This combination is not 4 items standing in solitary (sweet and sour pork, pork chow mein, fried rice, fried shrimp), rather, hundreds, maybe thousands (probably not) of the freshest ingredients available at Jerry's Food Land, combining to forge one "pièce de résistance". And at a paltry $6.35 after taxes, this is one combo that could end the recession in about 5-10 minutes. I've had them in 1998 and returning today I can say they are better than ever. Might be the best restaurant in Kerman. Food is good and clean. When you another option other than Mexican (Lucero Market is the best for that), Hong Kong Chop Suey is a great place. When we get take out we normally come get it from here. Kerman doesn't have many options but this place is even good for outsiders. read more

I've eaten here a bunch of times, most recently this past weekend. They haven't lost their touch. Their #B special is almost too good. Things To Do Before You Die: "climb Mount Everest", "trek through a rain forest", "scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef" AND "eat a #B from Hong Kong". I'm not joking. If you knowingly choose to eat anything else in Kerman instead of a #B from HKCS, then you do not deserve to eat. Ever. The noodles are perfect, the fried rice and sweet and sour pork are great together, and just when you're thinking that a to-go plate for $5 couldn't get any better, you remember the awesome fried shrimp that is still in the take-out bag. Called it in and picked it up less than 5 minutes later on a busy day. Courteous staff. Clean restrooms. Simply put, Hong Kong is on top of the to-go food game, it always has been, and forever shall be, Amen, #B, sweet Jesus in heaven. read more

I like the food here it's fine for occasional Chinese takeout. I will say the rice is a bit plain but my kid loves it and is delighted every time we eat here. In fact most of the dishes here are kind of plain but they taste fresh and not as greasy as I've had in the past. The prices are fair and the portions huge on the family meals - the 4 person serving could easily feed 8 people if not more. My compliant isn't with the food it's that last time I went in I was charged $9.95 for an extra entree that they "forgot" to include and I live in Fresno so I wasn't about to drive back. I called and they were cordial about offering a refund next time but I don't eat there very often so I guess we will see. read more

We ordered some take out for the office recently. The service was pleasant and the food was prepared quickly but the food was fairly bland. Nothing stood out about the plates we ordered, but we did enjoy it. I would go back again and possible order something different. I really like going here but sometimes the food is really good and sometimes it's okay. I guess it depends who's making it. The waitresses are nice and the place is very clean. I like that they have a table big enough for a large party. My favorite thing to get here is their orange chicken combo plate that comes with fried rice and noodles. Wow, it's Friday night and we just ordered Spicy pork with panned fried noodles and orange chicken with pan fried noodles. Both meals came with boiled noodles instead. The spicy pork was some kind of chicken dish and the orange chicken had no orange flavoring. It's like they skipped a step and forgot the sauce. We also ordered fried wontons and they were mostly burned. What happened?? Did they get a new cook? Awful! The food is great!!! It's awesome!!! But they seem to mess up the order constantly over the phone! They usually say it will be ready in 20 min but when you get there they make you wait another 10 min or so. Also I asked for a Pepsi at the counter and she gave me an unsweetened tea. read more

I grew up here and Hong kong was the best I bragged so much about it to my significant other that when we passed through we went to eat here can I just say it was AWFUL!!!! My food was semi warm as if it was in the fridge and they just microwaved it.... wtf guys u used to have the best food. I was so dissapointed and heart broken the service was absolutely awful too.... it pains me but based on my last experience after 5 years of being away from home this has to be a 1 star review.... maybe it was a bad day for them but... i will not go back. read more

Went into the restaurant and one of the waitresses said to take any seat and I am disabled. She did not even apologize because I am a disable person. After she said to take any seat, it was a very uncomfortable place to be at. We have ordered waiting for food to come, but decide leave instead. I will not recommend this place to no one. read more

I give this a 1 star rating but I would only say they actually deserved a half star. Worst service ever. I have been going there for years and I will no longer go after today. Owner was very rude. My Dad was trying to pay and she waved him away saying no not yet and called another person up with a to go order to pay before him. Even though the man waiting on the order told him to go before him. Then she took another person in front of us. Then my Mom asked for a to go menu and the lady just threw it onto the counter. She also had asked them if they wanted soy sauce and placed it in there bags along with fortune cookies, but ours she just put the cookies on the counter and my Mom had to ask for soy sauce for our to go order.
