When we arrived about half the tables were occupied. The restaurant looks clean but the decor a little dated. Our drink orders were taken right away. The menu is pretty big, it was difficult to decide. I went with the crispy noodles with veggies and gravy/sauce over it which is one of my favorites. It came with a cup of wonton soup which was absolutely delicious! There was a short wait for the food which was fine since we always have plenty to talk about. The food came out and the portions were huge. We all liked our food but None of us could finish lol. I did need to add a bit of soy sauce to my noodles, it was a little disappointing that the sauce didn't have more flavor. I was also disappointed that there was so much of it that my noodles got soft quickly but that was minor. EMW is out of the way but hopefully I will be back soon to try more items.

After driving around all morning I was ready for some Chinese food. First time here & I let Yelp guide me. Inside was very clean & service was quick. Ok we were the only one inside. I ordered the lunch plate of mushroom chicken with fried rice, one egg roll, and egg drop soup. I burned my mouth on that soup. Tell me now, why Chinese restaurants always keep their soups super hot! It would be great on a cold frosty day, but today is nice sunny day. Egg roll was so-so. The main dish was flavorful and it smelled good. I could smell the fresh garlic. The chow mein noddles were at the bottom and crispy. I'll say this much, my lips will be moisturized for 48hrs with all the oil on my plate. I didn't finish all and took it to go along with my Iced-Tea. Time to cash out. Now here is where it gets tricky. I love tap pay, Apple Pay. So when I asked if I had to go to the register or can I pay here, my server went to retrieve the machine. Well the machine was her cellphone. I tapped pay not once, but twice. It showed two pending payments on my end, but nothing on her end. I didn't have my cards with me, because Apple Pay always works for me. Well she didn't feel comfortable that the charge went through so I used a different card. Tap pay as well. Payment was denied on her machine, but showed pending on my App. So now we're talking $60 pending for a $20 lunch. Ok let's try this. I manually entered my card into her phone and I signed, again no charge. So I told Cindy, I don't have my cards, but I can get cash and come back and pay. But if these pending charges go through, you'll be hearing from me and I'll let all of the Yelp universe know. She then went back to the register and tried her own card and said that her card worked. After all that, I went to my car and wouldn't you know it, found my physical card. I went back inside and we ran the card and Voila, charge went through. See Cindy, I was good for it. In no way was I trying to get a free lunch. Now, I hope your business does the same. I'll be watching both of my accounts closely for the next 24hrs. They tell me they can add on to my order and then they tell me they can't do it. Most of the time it's never a problem to add on my order and lately they have been hiring new younger people and they tell me they can't substitute anything and I'm not asking for a substitute I'm adding for something to be added on top of my plate. The up charge is never the issue. Then they say they can't do it because they don't have a manager in the building which is odd there should always be a manager or a team lead inside the building for situations like this. And now we aren't allowed to get complementary chili with our food to go? We order 3 plates of food and we can't get any chili with it now , we have to purchase it which is crazy! We should automatically get at least a chili per plate we are ordering food. Everywhere you go they give you some sauce on the side and then anymore is extra. Like I've said we are returning customers but they keep hiring younger kids that are rude and they keep changing the policy's. Going to start looking somewhere else.

Tonight's winner was Lucky Kitchen in Clovis, and I'm glad I gave it a try. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile. The restaurant has that quaint, unassuming "hole-in-the-wall" feel that I absolutely love. I've learned over the years that some of the best places are the ones you least expect. I ordered the combination plate with an egg roll, chow mein, and chose the Spicy Kung Pao Chicken as my entrée. It was outstanding! The spice level was just right, the vegetables were fresh and plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the chicken. The portions were generous across the board. The chow mein was also excellent. I asked if they could add chicken to it, and they happily accommodated the request. It made an already great side even better. What really stood out was the friendly, accommodating staff. Throughout my meal, the phone kept ringing with takeout orders, which is usually a good sign that the locals know they've found something special. I left with a full stomach, a smile on my face, and every intention of coming back. Said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Arrived, greeted and the worker was Great. Happy to give hot oil and fortune cookies. He got it for me, paid for it and handed over. Nice inside. Safe & clean. Music playing. Spacious with lots of seating & pics up on the wzlls Lunchtime! Chicken Chow Mein was Great! Tasty & DELICIOuS!! Shrimp Rangoons were GREAT!! Cheesy GREATNESS!! It's sad because we were down the street yet drove across town to find the place was closed. So back we go toward the tower district to Ming's. We've been on the hunt for a good Chinese place ever since Shanghai closed. For me, it's an about the chow mein, and for my wife, she wants good orange chicken. I think it's hard to mess up Broccoli Beef, so I don't stress on that one. I think I've only once had bad broccoli beef. Our final standard is fried rice. That was our order and this is how it went. Starting with the fried rice, it wasn't fried. It's like they through the ingredients in a rice cooker, lots of butter, and that was it. It wasn't bad. I've definitely had worse, it just wasn't "fried" rice. Next was the orange chicken. It was sweet, but it didn't have that citrusy glaze that I would associate with orange chicken. It also wasn't crispy. Finally, the chow mein. We got the special chow mein because I like the variety of meats. It was just OK. If we come back, I think we'll just get the beef chow mein. It had better flavor than the other meats. But by no means has our hunt for a new Chinese restaurant ended. Another gripe of mine will be the hot mustard. I, for one, enjoy the overpowering aroma that it has. This "hot" mustard was more mustard than anything else. If we come back, maybe we will do sweet and sour pork since we know we don't like the orange chicken
