This is always our go to place for family gatherings. We were surprised that we were somehow ignored. We ended up being the last ones to get our meals and the last ones to leave the restaurant. Food is always delicious and hopefully, next time, the service will improve.

Best Chinese food in the Tower District. I've been coming here for to go orders for quite some time while heading out to my mom's home in west Fresno. Food portions are generous and appetizing. Service is always friendly with great waitstaff. Though the decor is a little outdated, there is plenty of seating. Support local and if you're in the Tower District, come here for some great Chinese food.

I really love the area where this restaurant is but I wasn't impressed with the food... One of my favorite dishes to order is chicken wings... so I did and they were really gooey... maybe not cooked enough... they just didn't satisfy me. I am hoping it was just a bad day... I will go back to try them again. I also ordered one of the combination plates... the chow mein noodles were too chewy as well... maybe next time I can ask for pan fried noodles... I liked the vibe inside it was very relaxing and the waitress was kind and kept checking on us... The rice was good and so was the fried shrimp... I will have to go try it again hopefully it was just a bad day

The place used to be pretty good, but lately I've been finding hairs in my plates and today I found a metal shaving in my chicken chow mien.

This is a favorite when I meet up with old coworkers during the work week. Great food and customer service. The servers are really friendly. They are also quick getting orders and bringing out food. During lunch, it does get busy. So, it best to go when it is not the normal lunch hour. I see a lot of familiar faces that work downtown here when we would visit during the lunch hour. Definitely recommend for Chinese food on this side of town! It doesn't feel or smell dirty every time we visit. But it is hard to stay awake after returning to work after eating here. :)

This restaurant is smack in the middle of the Tower District across from Ragin Records. The taste of the food could improve. It's as bland as WGBecky's potato salad at a cookout. Honey, you got no flava. First & last time here. I didn't even finish & when the waitress asked if I wanted a to-go container she was surprised when I said, 'No'. I got a drink refill & was pleased they served Pepsi products, however I could not take my drink to-go because they don't have drink cups. Well double-boo on you. They do have Apple Pay tho. Won't be back, I know better Chinese restaurants elsewhere.

Food was very flavorful and tasty. I ordered the sizzling shrimp with vegetables and noodles. They use jumbo shrimp which was nice and fresh vegetables. Also ordered the bbq pork which was very flavorful and not dry overall good lunch

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Fresno. Their entrees are delicious and the staff is family and very attentive to all customers. Their entrees atmosphere is enjoyable and is part of the Tower District.

Food seems a bit pricey but you actually get a fair amount for what you're paying. The golden chicken is super yummy in particular.

I opted for rice instead of fries to balance all the fried food. The rice was a great choice but I did not expect the serving to be so massive. It was three of each item along with the coleslaw. The container wouldn't even close and it was given in a massive paper bag just to accommodate the weight. Huge serving and very satisfying. My favorite was surprisingly the fish, then shrimp, then oysters. I did not even come close to finishing all the fried deliciousness. I'll definitely be back to try something else and probably bring a friend to split the food with.

And you get HUUUUGE portions of everything. Truly blown away by the portions. If you want A LOT of food, you'll get it here. Great value! ORDER: Wanted chowder & crab but they had neither. Calamari: Decent! I like the onions. Triple Play (6 pieces of fish, fries & coleslaw): HUUUGE pieces of fish that were nicely moist. Tempura Veggies: Not tempura batter. Same batter as fish. Wouldn't order again. Head-On Shrimp: Fried too long so they were hard. Wish they'd been not so hard. Overall, I'm sure many will like this place, but my problem is the batter is too thick & not at all seasoned. This is somewhere between American & Chinese, but doesn't truly lean into either. Lemon or some acidic slaw are essential to cut thru the fried. Ketchup & hot sauce would help. Tartar sauce wasn't great. Having some non-battered/fried options would be really great. Still, I might try them again. Hope they reach their target audience.

I understand and respect their history, but that is not an excuse for them to continue to live in the past. It is bad enough their location has turned undesirable over the years, so they need to continue to improve aspects of the business to keep people coming in. There was a security guard at the entrance (FYI the entrance is in the back, so upon entering you are immediately greeted by the restrooms and the doors that show off the kitchen work space. Long story short, it makes for an awkward and uncomfortable start to your experience for a first timer). Anyways, the security guard was in the same place when we arrived (looking at his phone) and in the same place when we left (still looking at his phone). If someone messed with my car, which was out of sight slightly around the corner of the building close to Belmont, would he have noticed or cared? This question is sure to be up there with the ol timeless chicken or the egg quandry and the if a tree fell in a forest paradox) Positives: Their meats were good (we tried the prime rib, of course, and a bacon wrapped filet). No complaints there. I should mention I took my love and my momma for her bday. My mom enjoyed herself well enough. The service was good. The waitress humored my (sometimes annoying) mom (lmao) and the hostess was also nice, checking on us during the meal even. She brought my mom some ice cream at the end and led us in singing happy birthday, which was sweet. The main fault: the sides. They were so mundane it almost made the rest of the meal seem overpriced and lackluster. Sides should be something local or at least prepared. Instead it was some slop from a can or a warmer filled with hot liquid broth. It was like cafeteria food or the heated up veggies one might get during a hospital stay. Completely unacceptable quality if you want to maintain the allure of a fancy restraunt serving 40+ dollar cuts of meat. Rice was mediocre, mashed potatoes were decent but again probably a cost cutting side. So all in all, the food wasn't something to brag about. The interior has some nice paintings of bare chested ladies. As a champion for women, it seemed a little extreme that in my sight i could see 6 titties, but as a man, excluding my champion for women title, I thought it was great. However, being with my mom and my woman made this dichotomy even more perplexing. The strangest part of all of this was when I went in the men's restroom there wasn't another topless woman painting. Instead it was some old dude. Wth? That's when I relaized it was like the rest of the experience here - unique, a bit outdated, and all over the place. Still enjoyable, but also pretty sad and confusing.

I ordered an enchilada and asked to add chicken, but the chicken tasted burnt and wasn't very good. There's also no mole on the menu, which was disappointing. Overall, the non-seafood plates just didn't impress. The portions are huge, though. My husband had to take his burrito home, and I had to take my enchilada home as well -- definitely generous servings. For the kids: the burger was good, but the chicken nuggets were awful. They were extremely hard and overcooked, mostly breading with barely any chicken inside. Service was another downside. It wasn't very attentive, and on top of that, drinks are canned Diet Coke only -- no refills, which feels outdated for a sit-down restaurant. What really rubbed us the wrong way was the bill. The suggested tip was calculated after taxes, not on the subtotal. That's not standard practice, and it felt like an attempt to squeeze out a higher tip -- especially when the service didn't warrant 20% to begin with. Tips should be based on the pre-tax subtotal, not the total with tax included. Overall, this place is probably best if you're ordering shrimp cocktail, ceviche, or other seafood dishes. The non-seafood options and service weren't great, and I wouldn't return unless it was strictly for a shrimp cocktail.
