It's not hard. Order ahead thru their website - the app is easy to use. It's ready in time EVERY time. I've never had to wait and my orders are consistently ready about five minutes early. The food is good, and each main entree actually serves 2. The only complaint I have is the crab Rangoon - there's been less and less crab, and I think by now it's just a cream cheese Rangoon. That's why the 4 stars and not 5. Also the young lady ALWAYS working the counter is so kind. She's always so apologetic if she was on the phone taking an order when you walked in and she couldn't greet you immediately. Yeah, they are short staffed so there's not exactly a dine-in option. We were a large group at lunchtime and the owner quickly put the tables together for us. The food was delicious. To start I had an egg roll and it was cooked to perfection, not at all greasy and burn your mouth hot ( which is how I like my food). Then I had general Tso chicken with fried rice. It was delicious and the pieces of chicken were the perfect size and also not greasy. The sauce was delicious. I wound up taking half home for my daughter as the portion was generous. Stopped in for lunch today. The sweetest lady helped me figure out what I was going to eat. I ended up with the black pepper chicken with fried rice. There are a couple people that obv had covid claiming there wasn't a flavor. This place is great, my favorite dish is the Kung pao chicken--which is better and slightly different than most Chinese places I've gotten it at. All meat and peanuts with (not too much) sauce. Usually other places will stack this dish with cheap veggies and hardly any meat--but not here! The general/sesame chicken doesn't have too much breading, it is crispy and not served in a sauce soup like other places, so it keeps it's crispness! Idk what else you could ask for. Based on the strong Google reviews, we decided to try this restaurant and order takeout (sesame chicken with won ton soup). The food was terrible. The chicken was soggy and covered in an overly sweet, cornstarch-filled sauce. The soup broth was meh and I'm pretty confident the won tons were old. We ended up trashing a majority of the meal. This place is kinda hidden by Food Lion off Capitol but nice clean place plenty of seating. Had the lunch buffet it was hot and very fresh. The family that's works/owns are very friendly. Located in a strip mall near Food Lion, this unassuming Chinese restaurant serves up Chinese as well as asian fusion. I've been here a few times and enjoyed several of the tofu dishes. I've really wanted to like this place since it's convenient, but unfortunately the food is mediocre. If you like buffet, lunchtime is okay and reasonably priced, but nothing special. We ordered take out in the evening last week but again disappointed. We went with Chicken Fried Rice and Sesame Chicken. There were so few and small pieces of chicken we thought they forgot to put the chicken in the box. We called and they said to come back and they would give us another. We picked it up and when we opened it up realized it was just a very small amount of unappealing chicken pieces. The Sesame Chicken had a substantial amount of breading and the small pieces of chicken inside were tough. Sorry to say we will not be going back. The owner is very nice and really tries to please. Others may find it nice that children are helping out, but frankly, child labor laws are being broken. A six or seven-year-old seating people and serving food is not okay. There is a reason seating is readily available on nights when other restaurants are experiencing a wait. read more

One of the worst, if not the worst meal I've ever had. I ordered the sweet & sour pork, a dishe I really enjoy. What was dumped on my table was a plate with deep friend pork chunks, a separate dish with a red sauce, and plain white rice. Every dish of sweet & sour pork I've ever had also had carrots, onion, green pepper, and pineapple chunks cooked with the pork and covered with the sauce. This overdone pork had no other vegetables or pineapple and there was little taste to the red sauce. So the waitress sat us down and was super friendly. We waited in line to get our food but not too long. Let's get to the food, the star of the show! The food was excellent! It's the best Chinese buffet food I have had in years. The food is cooked in small batches so it goes quick, but they are quick to replace it, so it is always hot and delicious. I have been eating at Hong Kong resturant for many years. The current owners are the same people that have owned this resturant for well over a decade. The food is excellent and I have been recommending this resturant to friends for a long time. The owners will modify a meal to your liking. If you like spicy they will make the food spicy. If you don't like onions they will leave out onions ect. My biggest issue with Hong Kong resturant is trying to decide which entree to get as I have several favorites.
