It was Easter Sunday. Apr 5, 2026. This was my first visit to TDLLO Ramen & Sushi. There was a…read morecocktail bar and a sushi bar. I opted for a booth. The decor included dark wooden furniture, hardwood floors, door curtains for kitchen, and a ceiling lamp in the shape of a fish. On each table was a pale bottle with a small spout and a large stopper. This was for the black sauce, and the first time I have seen black sauce provided at tables in anything other than the small transparent bottle with double-spout cap. Next to the kitchen doorway was a black board announcing "What's New". The menu is printed on black-colored pages bound by black leather cover, which matched the black uniforms of the staff. I ordered my usual ramen: tonkotsu. It was served with a renge and a fork, the latter for those uncomfortable with using chopsticks. That didn't apply to me. I put the fork to the side and used the wooden chopsticks. The tonkotsu had three thick pieces of chasu, lots of menma slices, some kikurage strips, and a soft-boiled egg served in two halves. Though a little saltier than I would like, the broth was still delicious and complimented the food well, especially the chasu. It had a mild spiciness that caused slight irritation to my throat, but otherwise was worth consuming the entire bowl. It was about 11:10am when I arrived. Besides myself, there was one other party of two. The cocktail bar had two large TVs, one playing CNN and the other playing a sports program. The volume level was barely a whisper. Most of the time, I didn't hear anything. By 11:45am, two more parties of two showed up. The atmosphere was quiet the entire time, and definitely a great place to relax and enjoy a meal during lunch time. As I was leaving, I took a look at the outdoor dining area. It is housed in a patio next to the building. It has plenty of seating and is almost enclosed but for a cased doorway. I was impressed that TDLLO is accommodating to its customers during rain or shine (unlike Noodles Blvd in Cary). I will definitely come back to try a different ramen. Plenty of indoor and outdoor (sheltered) seating, plenty of parking, quiet atmosphere and good ramen, TDLLO Ramen & Sushi has my recommendation.

Nice balance of heat and sweet. I liked the yakisoba meat and veggies but the noodles tasted too fishy for my liking. It's like they had too much fish sauce or something. The food here was absolutely delicious! They gave us a little vegetable appetizer that was perfect... And tied us over until we got to the main course. We had a hot bowl Bibibop or something... I should've written it down. And we also had the dish in the lower right hand side of the menu that was made with sweet potato noodles... Both of them were absolutely incredible! The staff was very nice and patient and answered all our questions. My friend has a number of dietary restrictions and they 100% took care of us! We are so glad that we went and look forward to dining there again soon!

I am going to say that it must depend on what you get, and what she got was the Japangmyeon, and she said they were good. However, she's bought packaged noodles from Amazon and said they are just as good. I got the wing Bento box, and this was disappointing. I' m that strange person who doesn't want a HUGE wing, and these were HUGE. I also feel that they didn't have the crispness I expect, and the sauce wasn't as flavorful as I hoped. The salad with what I think is dressing they make, was tasty. The miso soup, tasty. Although I find it hilarious that Korean places serve miso soup, but again, I'm not Korean or Japanese, but I mean, miso soup is Japanese, right? The 2 fried dumplings, "spring roll", and my tempura sweet potato were a little oily and also lacked flavor. But I think I'm the problem. For me, what I like in Korean food is limited, kimchee, oh yeah; the fried wings/chicken, when done well, oh, heck yeah; the rice, I mean, you need it; and I like the lighter Japchae noodles, finding the others too heavy. I don't really like the national rice dish, Bibimbap, because, becasue like a burger, you have to know what you want on it, and I apparently don't know with Bibimbap. I'm not a huge lover of the pancake-type things, too chicken to try the soups, but give me the Japchae, GOOD fried chicken, and the bulgogi, etc., and I'm good. For us, the service was outstanding. Everyone was pleasant, we were immediately greeted, etc. Atmosphere, well, this place has been, I don't even know how many other places, but it's fine. Oh, I did enjoy the banchan, bonchon, whatever, but it was my daughter's first (and last) kimchee experience.

The restaurant is larger than I expected from the outside and has booths against the wall, tables in the center and a bar area. There were some tables outside, near the entrance, for those who want to dine outside on a warmer day. The restaurant was slow when we arrived, but filled up during our time there. But it remained quiet, so it was still easy to talk without hearing other conversations. I had looked over the menu before dining here, as I sometimes have trouble deciding what to order. But when I arrived, the menu was huge. I could order from the lunch, dinner, or sushi menu. There were just so many options. I ended up going with the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. When it came out, it was in half a pineapple. I just loved it, and it made it fun to eat. The three shrimp on it were large as well. The portion was large, so I had to bring some of the fried rice and cashews home for another meal. Service was friendly and patient as we made up our minds. My tea was refilled without me needing to ask. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Served hot out of the fryer, it was fantastic and the highlight of our meal - highly recommended. The accompanying spicy mayo sauce wasn't spicy and had a weird gelatinous texture, but the chicken doesn't need it. I had the meatball curry rice for an entree and thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite having a 1-chili rating on the menu, it had almost no heat. However, the meatballs were very flavorful and the brown curry gravy was delicious. My dining companion had the tonkatsu ramen and thought it was very good; it had a generous serving of pork belly and she noted the egg was perfectly cooked. This is a tiny restaurant, but it does offer table service. Overall, the service was OK, but could use a bit of refinement to take the overall rating to five stars. Lately it seems like all of the restaurants we try offer mediocre meals and a poor value. Ton Noodles was a nice change of pace, with appropriately-sized portions of very tasty, well prepared meals, and offered a good value. Recommended!

It photographs beautifully. Unfortunately, restaurants aren't judged on lighting. We ordered everything upfront: Banh Xeo (explicitly no shrimp due to a shellfish allergy), Cha Gio, Pho Tai, and the Chef Special. Somehow, not everything was entered correctly. The Banh Xeo arrived covered in shrimp. Allergy clearly stated. It was sent back immediately. We were told they could remake it, but it would "take a while because it takes a long time to make." Banh Xeo takes under 10 minutes in a properly run kitchen. We declined and assumed the rest of our meal would arrive promptly. It didn't. The egg rolls weren't just fried, they were fully baptized in oil. One bite and it felt like chewing on a sponge that lost a fight with the fryer. Then we watched tables seated at least 15 minutes after us receive their food before we did. When we asked about the remainder of our order, we were told it had "just been added" and would take a while. Pho taking 35+ minutes in a Vietnamese restaurant isn't high volume. It's disorganization. The Chef Special was decent. The pho, which should be the backbone of the menu, was underwhelming. Several tables around us had incorrect orders or long delays. The owner circulated, but instead of urgency or accountability, the energy felt inconvenienced. Here's the reality: great atmosphere can draw people in once. Food and leadership bring them back. If you're going because it looks trendy and buzzing, go in with eyes open. The aesthetic might be the star of the room, but the food should be.

Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. After running errands, we drove just six minutes to El Chapin, a Guatemalan restaurant. Forget Tex-Mex--this is a completely different Latin cuisine experience. The two of us spent $76 (including tax and tip), but we intentionally ordered extra to take home leftovers. Parking was easy, right out front, and the restaurant itself is spacious. Since we arrived just a few minutes after opening, we had the place to ourselves at first and were seated immediately. Service was prompt and very helpful--the server even suggested we might have ordered too much food (he was right, but we didn't mind!). Here's what we tried: Plato Chorizo y Longaniza - a sausage platter with salad, rice, refried black beans, and two delicious housemade corn tortillas. Pollo Adobado - marinated chicken with rice, salad, refried black beans and two housemade corn tortillas . Ceviche de Camarón - fresh and tangy, though light on shrimp, which tasted a bit tough Fried Plantains - perfectly done, sweet, and satisfying. Plus, I had an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. The highlights for me were the flavorful rice (with vegetables mixed in, including carrots and squash), the marinated chicken, and the sausages. The plantains were also excellent. The ceviche had great flavor but could've used more shrimp. The only miss for me was the salad--generous in portion but iceberg-based, so a bit bland. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, not heavy or greasy, and we left with enough for another one or two meals. We'll definitely be back.
