We tried this place for the first time and wow were we disappointed. We ordered the General Tso Chicken on the lunch menu. Came with an egg roll. Also ordered a small Sweet N Sour Soup. We got the egg rolls first. They were hot, but chewy not crunchy and tasteless. Next came the soup. It was plenty hot and looked good however, when we tasted it there was no flavor. It was just bland and there was no spicy taste. The little bag of chips that came with it were stale and tasted awful. Next came the chicken. The pieces were very small, overcooked, hard, had little taste and no spicy kick as it should have. The order was small and there were only 2 little broccoli flowers on the side. The fried rice looked old, dry and overcooked. There is really no excuse for serving food like this. The bathrooms were not clean and the seating area was not clean either. We will definitely not return here. read more

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had!!! It doesn't even look like chicken or taste like it. I got the schezuan chicken and asked it for spicy. No spice, no flavor and it was just weird. The restaurant is dirty and major need of new paint and wallpaper. The toilet was filthy like it hasn't been cleaned in a few months. I ended up taking a few bites of the vegetables and trashing it. Not a pleasant experience at all. Seriously would never eat here again and I am scared of the bites I did have. Can't find the health score posted anywhere. read more

Looking for a good Asian place to try while staying in town, we checked around Zephyrhills, finding here, China Wok and China Star. ALL THREE were almost identical, having the same "open" sign, the same fast-food-esque pictures displayed over the counter to order from, and the same items on the menu. The food was normal, generic, cheap chinese food. I've experienced better for the price. The food is what you would expect from the stereotypical asian cuisine stall from a mall, with all the basics there. I wasn't disappointed, but it certainly wasn't anything fresh, new, or exciting. read more

Ordered General Tso's chicken and veg fried rice. Rice was good. The chicken tho..... If you call it chicken. It was basically dough filled with bits of chicken and chicken fat. Absolutely terrible. Similar to cherry donut holes with pieces of cherries in the dough. This place is trash for that faux food. Never coming back. read more

Wow! What a pleasant surprise!! Something else to eat in the town besides the dreaded Golden Corral! There is always Ruby Tuesday, but sometimes you want something different. The cuisine could taste much better... BUT there are a couple of advantages at Hong Kong. They have more options than majority of the surrounding Chinese restaurants; they now serve Sushi (not THE BEST in town, but definitely a good effort!) For a small amount of time, they used to offer delivery services, which was and still is unheard of in Zephyrhills -hopefully they bring back this feature!!! -At the end of the day, it's about the food. Regardless of the variety and convenience, I'd much rather have a great tasting meal. I hope to see this place improve! read more

The cook was eating with his hands while he was cooking the food. Also, he was using his hands to mixed the food together before placing it into the pan. There was a female at the front taking orders, and I saw her going to the back to eat. They were actually eating off the same plate. But she came back up front to plate the order without washing her hands. This is the primary reason I rated it two stars. The other reason is serving size. Been in search of good take out, So I've tried nearly all the local spots, then I found this place. Amazing, I've had the Beef & Broccoli, Mixed Vegetables, Sweet & Sour chicken, pork fried rice, egg rolls, and won ton soup. All were excellent. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this gem. I will quite looking as this is worth my repeat business. It may not be the best on the planet but here in Zephyrhills, FL I feel this is as good as your gonna find. Sadly, the steamed dumplings had the thickest dough ever. Small eggroll had little flavor. Lo mein was also low on flavor. Seems they cook for the elderly who can't handle flavor. I need to keep looking. The mustard and duck sauce packs were the worst I've ever tasted. read more
