Highly recommend the egg foo yong It was delicious. The gravy was so good. Had mine with fried rice. The egg roll was excellent too.

I have went to this restaurant almost 10 years. I've never had an issue until now. I night food for my family and brought it home. As I started eating my eggroll, I bit into what I thought was a burnt spot. Turns out, it was a cigarette butt! I took it to show them and they denied any possibility that it got there in the restaurant. They offered me $1.50, but I just said I'd take a replacement. The woman at the counter grabbed one and threw it on the counter. Bad service, disgusting experience, I will never be back!

I just realized our plates at home look like a Chinese restaurants! Egg roll/pork fried rice/chicken & broccoli/lots o hot mustard :)

Finally. My Chinese food prayers have been answered. My husband decided we should try driving in the opposite direction down Wade Hampton in search of decent take out. I hopped on Yelp and saw this place had decent reviews...... So we were hopeful. At worst it would be crummy just like the places near us. I feel I should mention my husband passed by at least one other take out place to get here. I am so glad he did! When my husband finally got home, I hesitantly peeled open the bag and I quickly located the egg roll. I feel I can always judge the quality of a place by the egg roll. OMG! It was a good size egg roll that was full of pork and just perfect. Perfect! Everything else that we got was just as good as I hoped. The chicken and broccoli was in a yummy brown sauce that came with tons of steamed broccoli. The pork fried rice had tons of pork in it, and onions. Unfortunately I didn't really notice much else (egg, peas, carrot) but it's still better than any I've had lately. My husband got the house lo mein and we all agree, this is our new place for take out. It's totally worth the drive.

Best Chinese restaurant in our area. It's take out only. We purchase dinners there approximately once a week.

Typical American Chinese fair. Only complaint is the Yelp app took me to an auto dealer next to the burger chain. It's to the left of Bi-Lo.

Yes I'm testing them because I know an amazing Chinese place that I normally would have gone to. The curry chicken on the menu peaked my interest. So I made a small order of that and a general tso combo. The call was four minutes and I was quoted 45min-1hr. I live very close. I was told there was no delivery charge which was awesome. With one great review on here and one terrible review I've gotta be the tie breaker. I'm pretty excited as I don't have to go anywhere for this yelp review. I was off the phone by 6pm and it only took 4 minutes with general questions to ordering to giving card info and getting off the phone. Now I wait.... 6:10pm I notice on menupix that they offer a pork bun? 6:12pm No pork bun but I asked them to include a couple of menu's and a pair of chopsticks in the delivery. I have Crunchyroll on stand by for some anime when the food gets here. I'll be posting pics of the menu for everyone because menupix.com seems to be inaccurate. 6:45pm and not here yet, another 15 minutes till they start being late. 7:11pm....11 minutes late....are they walking FROM the 711???? I thought up to an hour was insane to begin with. *sigh* Let's see what happens in the next 15 minutes...... 7:24pm I see there a charge on my card for over $17!? I call and am told that it is $3 for delivery plus tax. Good lord for some general tso and small order of curry chicken? Tip is out the window at this point. 7:26pm, almost 30 minutes late. In the middle of being on the phone with them. Ridiculous. Food is finally here. Two menus and chopsticks - check. 7:35pm...I call back because the general tso tastes sweet????? Wtf? She said honey chicken when we got off the phone last time but our dogs were barking up a storm when they knocked on our door and I know I heard them say honey chicken and general tso does NOT taste sweet so that's odd. *sigh* Alright here we go... General Tso: 1/5 stars Soggy, no crunch or body to it, no heat/spicy means that this mess is a complete failure. The General weeps. Lo Mein: 1/5 stars Overcooked, no bite to them. Everything is chopped up as if it's being served to a toddler. Very disappointing. Curry Chicken 5/5 stars ....Wait...WHAT!? I absolutely REFUSE to believe this came from the same kitchen. It's like it came from a different restaurant!!! All of the wonderful medley of vegetables were cooked perfectly, the chicken was moist and delicate, the spice was just right!! The smell....heaven. There was not only the perfect amount of chicken but also the perfect amount of vegetables and they were all so full of flavor!! I especially enjoyed the occasional mushroom. My god. Fire the cook who made the general tso and make the cook who made this the executive chef. Good god man. Wait a minute...THIS WAS UNDER $5!? I could've had the perfect evening sitting in my car in the parking lot at $12 and a huge headache less!!! Conclusion: Delivery service is practically non existent. If you are somehow able to predict you will be hungry in two hours then go for it. Otherwise don't empty your wallet on terrible delivery service. With one complete failure and one triumph, it's obvious that there must be separate cooks because one has the vegetables and noodles in the lo mein cooked to oblivion and the other seems to be a master of their craft. Due to this experience alone, with horrible delivery service, poor communication, and terrible food (save for the curry chicken!!), I have to give them two stars, and that's only for the curry chicken!!!!

The egg flower soup is pure comfort in a bowl. Silky ribbons of egg drifting through a golden broth that tastes like it has stories to tell. It is delicate but confident, warm without being heavy, the kind of soup that resets your whole mood. And the Szechuan salmon? Listen. Perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, wrapped in that bold, slightly spicy Szechuan glaze that dances instead of overwhelms. It has heat, depth, personality. Every bite feels intentional. What really sets this place apart is Peter and his wife. They do not just run a restaurant, they cultivate community. Every time I come in, they show me love like I am family. Not the polite, rehearsed kind. The real kind. The "good to see you again" with meaning behind it. If you want amazing food and an atmosphere that feels like home, Lieu's Bistro is it. Waited for someone to arrive at the hostess stand, when she arrived the lady didn't smile and welcome us, she just asked how many and follow me. Server on the other hand was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. She brought us water and took our soup order. The weekday lunch menu includes a salad/soup with a meal. The won ton soup only had one wonton and my egg drop soup was flavorless. I visited the bathroom which was extremely clean and smelled fresh. In fact all of the restaurant was extremely clean. My son mentioned this fact to a guy cleaning the dining room tables. He was doing a great job, over and above the table he cleaned the wall, seats and floor too 5/5 Entrees ordered, didn't take long. Vegetarian dish with lots of bok choy was lacking any flavor. I ordered the Almond chicken, there were a million slivers of almonds on top of shredded chicken, served with white rice. Again no flavor. Also the beef with added spice was disappointing. Such a shame as I really wanted to like this place. We ordered the Banana spring rolls with ice cream to share. It was delicious JMO as usual

So, you may ask, what does a Chinese person order at an Americanized Chinese restaurant. Do I ask them to do some off-menu creation that more closely mirrors authentic Chinese food? Honestly, I'd never do that. Unless it's a spot like In-n-Out, I'm not one to participate in the secret menu shenanigans. No, I simply get the General Tso's Chicken or Sweet and Sour Chicken that anybody else gets. At just over $10 outside of lunch hours, prices are roughly in-line with what we find anywhere else these days. The "combo" version of these meals come with an eggroll, which is terrific. I... really should order one of their healthier options, but alas, I'm determined to remain fat forever or something. I have dined at Hunan K way too many times, and I'll probably average at least 1-2 visits per week for the rest of my time in my apartment. The food by no means hits greatness, but it's a very good option for the price range. I'm very glad local Yelpers have responded positively to this restaurant, because it's a very good one.
