Ok checked it out while waiting on the Honor bar and it was very cute! They don't have food but offer tasting on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays from 5-8pm. It's very neat and they have many wines and spirits here!! I would say to eat at the honor bar or their other sister restaurant south of Beverly, and do the wine tasting! Great selection of wines from affordable to not so much and you can bring next door to Honor Bar and South Beverly Grill (both of which have mediocre BTG wines). But don't expect any help from the sales staff work a selection. I'm a sommelier so I don't need a lot of help, but nonetheless the people working there should know something about wine -- but, they don't. So be prepared to use your favorite wine app to make a selection. Not just that but the price on the bottle was different than the price charged. I noticed after I left and figured whatever. Wine! and whine no more.... Honor Wines and Spirits which is south of Wilshire Bl on South Beverly Drive. A small shop with a lovely variety of wines, spirits of sorts, some gadgets and table ware. This shop has been here over a decade and I'm guilty of just now posting this review. Guilty because this shop has a connecting door access to the Honor Bar and South Beverly Grill. When I initially want a bottle togo, I quickly change my mind, because I would rather walk into and sit at Honor Bar for a nice pour and order from the menu. And if I have more time and want something more substantial, I can easily walk into South Beverly Grill connected to the Honor Bar, convenient! Years earlier, this shop offered gourmet pizza for take out. It was perfect to order pizza and pick up a bottle of Cabernet, convenient. Pizza is no longer offered, but the shop does have selections less costlier than the wine merchant across the street, where I also frequent. If your boutique wine shop closes at too early, don't whine, this shop stay open later, usually on weekdays until 9pm yay! Service is cordial and helpful and it's usually never crowded here. There's limited metered street parking or if the guy at the lot next to South Beverly Grill likes your coolness, park for 5mins :) Some of my favs are the collection from the southern Rhône French region produced by monks; Chateauneuf-du-Pape and I like both the red and white! Towards the back of the store is the chilled section, mostly champagnes, some with my name. And that's also why I Like this shop. Recommend! read more

This is my weekly treat: attend the wine tastings and then explore the store. There is a weekly tasting with typically 3-4 wines. The individuals who curate the session present as authoritative on the grands represented, though it does not take much to impress me on this issue. It is a well designed store with decent selection. Meh. 2 stars + 1 star for location. At first sight , it looks great, though the beer selection isjs way too big and prominent. Rather large red wine selection with a few good reds. I would cut out half of the red wines in this store actually. VERY lacking selection of champagnes and Proseccco, bubbly selection had me asking who is the sommelier, but I doubt there is one so I didn't ask. Rather sad, short d man "hard liquor" selection. I mean, I was shocked at the lack of choices in hard drink there. This store needs a real re-think. It also needs some authentic nice people greeting and talking like they want to talk. I am happy that a wine shop finally opened on South Beverly Drive and of course the fact you get no corkage fee at The Honor Bar or South Beverly Grill if you buy a bottle there. The shop itself is small and very nice carrying some nice wines in the 30 dollar a bottle and up category predominantly from California. The wine prices are pretty good overall but you can pay less at other wine shops. They also have premium liquor. They seem to be strongest in whiskies, bourbons and tequila The issue I have with this store is the selection is not very extensive. I like going to wine shops that have huge inventories of different wines from around the globe so it is like a treasure hunt. I also like when wine shops offer tastings and events which apparently this shop does not have or do I am happy they are here but with the new Wally's on north Canon just opening, this place will need to engage the wine drinking community a lot more if they want to succeed read more

Wanted to buy a present for someone. A nice bottle of scotch. I know nothing about scotch so I asked for help as I wanted something really nice. The gentleman refused to help me as he said he was to busy. Really. He didn't even have time to make a single suggestion. I guess there OK if you know what you want and don't need help or want a recommendation. Seems like there just looking to make a quick sale with no customer service. I can most likely have gotten more help at a grocery store. Guess my expectation that I could get some suggestions as to what to buy was unreasonable. Hello foodies and friends with cooties... I would like to take this opportunity to mention how phenomenal their chicken sandwich is. Sadly I have to drive to Beverly Hills for an amazing chicken sandwich. Nonetheless, very fucking worth it. Who would've thought?!? The environment is more than pleasant, staff is amazing and beautiful beings, and I simply don't have any complaints. And obviously it's easy to complain about something but, I'd rather save my energy and eat everything on their menu lol. I don't drink, but one isn't pressured to purchase or test beverages. I like this place. It's not that big but has a descent collection and the price isn't bad neither. Service is always nice too. Only thing is I don't know about parking, I have work parking nearby anyway but otherwise you might need to park nearby or hope you can get the street parking spot which is not that easy to find. read more

But the girl who is working their Now didn't know about it ok fine but I didn't get any suggestions from her to switch to something similar instead of that she let me by myself. We go to the free wine tasting at this shop nearly every Friday night between 5-7, and it's always a pleasure! Surprisingly, many of the wines here are even more affordable than they would be if you purchased them at the vineyard where they were made; despite the upscale atmosphere, the prices are really quite fair, and you can often get something impressive and it'll be a steal. Also a terrific selection of unique craft beers (plus, you can make your own six pack). Even though everyone who works here is incredibly knowledgeable, they aren't at all "snobbish." Ask anything you want to know about wine; they will happily answer and actually be excited to share what they know! read more

I walked in the store and the staff was so friendly. I explained how I was going to a dinner party and I was bringing macaroons and desserts. They helped me pick out a nice Rose champagne for 100 bucks. They were so helpful and knowledgeable. They even gave me a nice little bag to bring it in. Enjoyed the helpful staff and walked out with some great wine suggestions AND a free wood fired pizza (w/ purchase of wine), which was, even eaten cold much later in the evening, pretty amazing! Fantastic little wine shop with free weekly tastings and incredibly helpful staff. Try to go on Friday evening as the curator will be there to give advice on selecting the right wine for you. Unfortunately I can't recall his name but he is a fantastic resource and should definitely be consulted. TIP: If you're going to eat at South Beverly Grill or Honor Bar (both right next door) this should be your first stop since you can buy a bottle here and bring it to dinner without having to pay corkage fee. Most wines fall in the $20-$35 range and I have truly enjoyed every single bottle I have found here. The prices compare very favorably to online prices and are in some cases much cheaper when shipping is taken into account. They also have a decent sized selection of ultra high end bottles (Opus One, etc.) in the $250+ range, but the majority of the stock is well within the budget of a budding wine enthusiast like myself. They also have a small but eclectic premium beer and liquor section. After coming here enough times I have realized their philosophy is to choose top quality wines from California and around the world that aren't necessarily the mass produced stuff you'll find at Bevmo or Whole Foods (which is a good thing!). As a result, you'll find a lot of great deals on fantastic wines most people have never heard of. read more

The clerk was very friendly and his recommendation of Etude Pinot noir (2012) was perfect for drinking on the back of my friend's boat! Also no corkage if purchased and brought next door.
