You might ask.... was I rude? No, we never even had a conversation over the phone. Did you do something to them? Yes I challenged charges for items that never took place in the appointment. I never even received a Dr's report from that appointment. I'm guessing because the Dr didn't want to put in writing what never took place. Do yourself a favor and avoid this scam of a place at all costs!

My PC goes over everything and makes sure you're well taken care of. They even give you a summary of your visit with all tests results, vitals and everything that was discussed with your PC. They provide free transportation to and from the office if you have no way of getting there or don't feel like driving. They always make a follow up call to see how you're doing after your visit. They also have a 24/7 hotline if you need a Dr after hours or have questions. I've never been treated so well at a Dr office in my entire life. I would recommend OSH over Desert Ridge any day of the week.

Before meeting her, I had left another hospital's ER because of what I felt was a complete lack of urgency regarding my condition. I drove myself to another recommended hospital in Scottsdale, where I met Dr. Anderson, who was referred to me early on. He recommended Dr. Klein, and I told him I would call her the following morning. The next morning, I heard a knock at the door of my hospital room. To my surprise, it was Dr. Leslie Klein herself. I remember thinking, "Wow -- she makes house calls." At first, I was cautious because after a year-and-a-half-long misdiagnosis and several disappointing experiences with other doctors, I had nearly lost faith in the medical system altogether. Our first meeting started a little rocky because of my frustration and fear, but I later apologized to Dr. Klein -- my angel. Sometimes God truly does work in mysterious ways. Before meeting Dr. Klein, my first spleen biopsy had come back inconclusive, and the previous medical facility never even contacted me with the results. I eventually drove myself to their ER because of severe pain and personally requested the biopsy report. They even allowed me to leave with an IV still in my arm so I could get to the Scottsdale hospital and ask for Dr. Anderson. From the moment I met Dr. Klein, I knew she was different. She doesn't just hear her patients -- she truly listens. She never interrupts, maintains eye contact, and speaks with genuine care, compassion, and urgency. When my insurance company delayed approval for chemotherapy, Dr. Klein refused to give up. Through her determination and expertise, she arranged for another physician to perform a successful biopsy. Within days, my chemotherapy was finally approved. A CT scan with contrast revealed a cancerous mass in my spleen, along with lymph nodes that were also affected by cancer. That was the beginning of my battle with Stage IV Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The journey was long and difficult. It included extensive chemotherapy treatments and ultimately a bone marrow transplant. Today, as of May 2026, I am cancer free, and in December 2026 I will celebrate my five-year anniversary since my bone marrow transplant. I owe so much of this to Dr. Klein -- a truly caring physician whose determination, compassion, and partnership with her patients give people hope during the darkest moments of their lives. She was and is my angel, and I hope she can be someone else's angel too.

If you ask around the valley, you'll likely find that many physicians select Mayo for their care, and I think that speaks highly of both the medical knowledge and the professionalism of this group. Dr. Patchett is one of those old-school PCPs who spend time with their patients; I've never felt rushed during my visits with him. He also has an additional appointment with the Department of Integrative Medicine and focuses a lot on nutrition and exercise, which is great for preventing disease before it begins. If you have any sort of musculoskeletal pain as well, he practices osteopathic medicine and does manipulations, which my layperson husband described to me as "massage stretching." If you're looking for a new primary care physician and want to focus on wellness, definitely try to get in with Dr. Patchett!

I came to this emergency department on January 23, 2026 for a severe asthma exacerbation. Despite…read morevisible wheezing and difficulty breathing, I waited a prolonged period without receiving a breathing treatment. The physician (Dr. James Mead ) I encountered was dismissive, argumentative, and lacked basic compassion during a medical emergency. At one point, Dr. Meade cut me off while I was asking for the treatment and said, "And You're still alive," which was shocking, completely inappropriate given that I was struggling to breathe and seeking emergency care. My condition worsened due to stress and delayed care. Dr. Meade became explosive and dismissive. He stood outside my room saying Loudly and Rudely told me, "You can leave ! . "If you don't like our services here, you can leave." I was shocked and completely taken back .He was my physician, and I could not believe this was happening. He told me "You can leave and go to HonorHealth Urgent Care." When I asked why--because I needed treatment ; he threatened to call security. At that point I realized this was not the right hospital or physician for me. I was scared because I could not breathe, and his behavior made me feel like he did not care about my wellbeing. I genuinely feared I could die in that hospital and never see my family or community again. I de-escalated the situation and told him I would leave. He then sat back down at the computer outside my room. He made the decision to have me leave rather than treat me appropriately. I went to another ER immediately afterward and received prompt care. This experience left me feeling unsafe, and I would not return. My driver was outside, and I had to leave quickly to go to another ER. At the next hospital, my vitals were taken immediately, I received needed treatment, and an x-ray was completed. I will never step foot in this hospital again. It is very sad because other staff there have treated me well in the past, but this experience was completely different. As a community volunteer, I will also warn others to be cautious if they encounter Dr. Meade and my experience at Fountain Hills ER. I understand that as healthcare workers we are all dealing with extreme staffing shortages and high stress, especially in a small community. However, that does not excuse Dr. Meade's professional misconduct, negligence, unprofessional behavior, incompetence, treatment delay , and ethical issues. His behavior was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. Dr. Meade should be required to take additional training in bedside manner, professional communication, and patient care standards. No patient seeking emergency care--especially while struggling to breathe; should be treated with hostility, intimidation, or threats. I volunteer with three strong organizations in the Fountain Hills community and also serve in disaster response throughout the greater Arizona region. I am a Health Care Worker as well . If ALL emergency responders or healthcare workers behaved the way Dr. Meade did that day, the public would lose trust in the very systems meant to protect them. I am grateful that I took the initiative to leave and go to HonorHealth Scottsdale ER, where I received immediate and appropriate care. Honestly, directing me to competent professionals was the only helpful thing Dr. Meade did during that encounter.

We received a bill for over $500 and were shocked it was that much but paid it immediately. Several months later we received another bill for close to $300! It was a collection notice saying we hadn't paid. We already paid so we didn't know what to think. We called and the office staff said they couldn't help us because they work with an outside billing office and they couldn't see my file. What the heck? What office can't see your file? So I asked what we could do and they said call their outside billing office. We did that and the outside billing office told us there was nothing they could do and we would need to call the office. We already did that! We called back and the office manager was out of the office and we were told she would call us back. She never did. We called back 3x's and nothing. Then we received another collection notice in the mail saying we were very delinquent. We called the office again to ask them why we were getting billed again when we already paid the bill. The response, if you are dissatisfied with the service you should write the doctor. Are you serious?! No explanation for what the bill is for, no call back, and an office manager they can't be bothered to do her job. No way are we paying a bill that no one can explain to us. Stay away, far away and go some place else. The staff is incompetent and the doctor is not worth the money he charges.
