For my flavor, I got the Sunset Beach combination with passion orange, mango, and guava, plus I added some of the Amy's Ice Cream on top that they were offering. Upon my first bite, it's truly impressive how compact the shave ice is. It doesn't even feel like shaved ice at that point and is more comparable to a popsicle in a bowl. This is what kids should be eating in the summer vs. your Konahama Bucks, and like Stan Twitter would say, Ululani clears while the rest are flops! Italian holds a special place in my heart not only because I lived in Sicily for many years but it serves as an great alternative to ice cream on a hot day and is little bit better for you health wise. Italian ice is made with a base of water, sugar, and fruit juices or purees, while ice cream is made with milk, cream, sugar, and flavorings. Italian ice doesn't contain dairy or eggs. This truck serves up many flavors and allows customers to make their own concoctions based upon what is available on the truck. The Italian ice here is smooth and has a fine-grained texture, similar to sorbet. Aside from the Italian ice, I purchased an acai bowl. The Tropical acia bowl was tart from the berries within the bowl but had a sweet aftertaste due to the honey drizzle.
