What drew me to try this place was all the interesting flavors I saw on the menu, but I have a whole myriad of reasons to keep coming back! The workers were sooo friendly. Like I feel like some places just care about giving you your order, but they feel like they care about you loving your order. Just super nice in general. And I really appreciate them asking how I normally like my drinks, like on the sweeter side or not. Because I do enjoy my drinks on the sweeter side and that really makes it or breaks it for me when it comes to coffee. I was also curious about their aguas frescas, which they change flavors on rotation. I asked them what flavor they had and I was expecting like piña or fresas, your typical flavors etc. But it was raspberry turmeric! They also let me try a delicious sample before I decided it was a caffeine type of morning. I was sad they were out of matcha though, but I ended up going for a bourbon orange latte, just because it sounded so unique. And it was so good! Perfect sweetness level for me, super creamy, and the orange flavor came through so well without being too overpowering or sickly. Not to mention, the prices aren't that bad. Like even for the specialty drinks, I've seen way more expensive. That being said, it's not exactly cheap either. But I would say it's worth it. Definitely plan on going back and hopefully they'll have matcha then! read more

I searched up good coffee in my area and stumbled upon this hidden gem! Attached to a food truck park with multiple options to stroll through while you sip on a hot or iced drink! I ordered a hot dirty rose chai and loved it. I was warned the chai is spicy, and no kidding! Tasted so natural and really made me think about how chai everywhere else tastes so watered down. Would definitely order that one again. The service was quick and efficient. There was only one guy working in the trailer and he was very personable to us. Explained a lot about the drinks and made us feel comfortable trying something new. My partner who isn't a huge coffee drinker ordered the iced vanilla latte extra sweet and it was so good! The syrups, besides their salted caramel, are all homemade. Their vanilla syrup tasted more like a toasted vanilla. Super yummy. Also ordered their most popular Iced Madagascar vanilla latte and it was understood why it's so popular. Would love to try their lavender matcha next! read more

Rolled up to this little trailer park in hopes to try some breakfast tacos but the trailer was closed. Womp womp. But we still had a big WIN. We were about to leave when was saw someone roaming around with some coffee. We walked over to the Matinee truck and met Adam. Adam explained that he makes his own syrups and provided us with a list of his most popular drinks. I landed on the Lavender Cardamom Latte (with mint). Don't skip the mint! My partner got the Madagascar Vanilla Latte. Adam takes his time and you can tell he's mastered HIS way of making drinks. When I took my first sip of the coffee I was sent to another world. I was floored by the simple yet extraordinary flavors. The Matinee has quickly made it to my Top 5 favorite coffee shops. Do yourself a favor and pay a visit! I promise you won't regret it. Stop at this food truck spot for some drinks. The area had tons of shade and open area for sitting. Madagascar vanilla latte - great flavor not too bitter. Enough sweet for my taste and it was smooth. Pineapple guava fresca - amazing flavor and very refreshing. I will definitely get this one again. Talking to the owner, he change this one out every quarter depending on the fruit. The owner was very nice and offer us a sample of the Fresca but after how he described how he made it we definitely got it without needing to sample it. I love their housemade syrups!! It's hard to find a place with floral syrups and even harder to find someone who makes it themselves! Why are you going anywhere else when the BEST local coffee spot is right here? The coffee here is phenomenal! It is so smooth, creamy and absolutely delicious. The service is always great, the owner (?) is very nice and laid back. There's always some type of beat playing softly in the background which is cool too. Still great service and high quality drinks! This time around I ordered a rose matcha and watermelon/pineapple/turmeric Fresca. Both were amazing and refreshing especially in the heat. The rose matcha was a soft flavor (I got it less sweetened) with the rose not overwhelming the matcha. Both were a good combination and I will definitely go back for another. As for the fresca it was just that fresh! The flavors blended well and with rotating flavors I can't wait to try the next combination. To top it all off, the non-dairy milk brand that he uses is top quality- he even offers cashew milk! Matinee is parked in the downtown Leander market space with a handful of retail and food trailers. The business owner is a kind and engaging fellow, and ensures that your drink is to your liking. I ordered the bourbon caramel latte hot, and my husband got the chai tea latte. We were asked our milk preference and my husband was advised that the chai has some spice to it. Often times, he finds the chai lattes of the bigger chains to be weaker, so he really enjoyed that he could really taste the spices in his drink. If this isn't reason enough to visit, the drinks are also less expensive than other coffee shops. My only reason for leaving a star off was due to a small menu, and also this would be challenging for people who use a walker or chair to get up to the window for ordering. Will definitely be back, and hope to see an expanded menu down the road. read more

Love this new coffee truck. The ingredients used to make the drinks are top notch. My absolute fave is the rose matcha with oat milk. I love that it's not too sweet. This one with the pink milk is not oat. I love that it's made pink with beet powder. The owner uses quality ingredients to make these fun drinks and always wants to know if you like what you got! From the organic almond milk without gums added, to the pebble ice, to the homemade syrups, and the organic matcha powder used, the owner has thought of it all. Great coffee & customer service that's tailored to each person. He is such a friendly owner/barista to chat with. While I enjoy all his creations at this point as a return customer, I'm currently liking the real caramel addition with the house-made bourbon syrup.
