Absolutely the best truck in the park, had one guy named Jonah cook some great food. Really good customer service and a great overall experience. Definitely recommend

I was on vacation with my kids and came here to check out all the food trucks. We saw the exp truck, and it sounded great. First impressions: There are no prices for the food on the menu, so your ordering blind. Everything sounded great, so I didn't care too much, but after I received my receipt, it was almost $70 for three of us. The food was ok, pretty healthy servings, but it was just ok. We wanted some desserts that were on the menu, but we we're informed they didn't have any available. Overall, it was a fun one-time experience.

I think this place is new but all of the people in front of me were regulars so I know it was good. The owner is working the line and preparing food order. My son had the chicken and waffles and refused to let me taste it because it was so good. I had the protein bowl. It was a seared seasoned shredded steak with crispy deep-fried Brussel sprouts. It was super reasonably priced with the chicken and waffles only being $8 and the protein bowl $10. The chef owner came out and checked on us halfway through the meal. Love supporting local. Highly recommend.

Y'all, this food is bomb! Locally sourced and full of flavor for a reasonable price...Ohh and the chefs couldn't be more personable, you can tell that they really love what they do. At my first visit I tried the breakfast sandwich on a fresh biscuit, sorry forgot to snap a pic...and it was DELICIOUS, crave-able good. Today I ordered carnitas street tacos based on a recommendation, and the flavor was on point. Super grateful to have found this gem in the Lago food truck park. They do move around town so make sure to check their schedule before heading that way.

The braised beef panini is off the chain! Dang it's good, delicious fries and the service is great. 2 awesome dudes running the show. Do yourself a favor and taste their flavor!

The people are ready and helpful, they 2 guys that run the place can have a conversation with you and help guide you. The pollo (chicken) is its own address. The chicken reminds me of a Sunday dinner before restaurants were every where. I will come again.

    Philly cheesesteak. YUMMMMM!!

The menu is not extensive, mainly appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, salads, and breakfast served all day. I'm usually suspicious of huge menus so this one is just right. It didn't take long to get seated or to order, but there was about a 30 minute wait to receive my order. This place has only been open a week so that's just one of those little kinks I'm sure they'll work out. I had chicken strips off the appetizer menu, mashed potatoes as a side and a margarita. The chicken strips were truly excellent. They weren't heavily breaded and were hot and fresh. The potatoes were also tasty - more like mashed baked potatoes than boiled. The margarita was, frankly, terrible. However, my server was determined to get it right and ended up making a good margarita and also comped it. That was really above and beyond and I appreciated it. I'm giving The Flip House 5 stars for delish fried chicken tenders and for a server who just refused to give up until everything was just right. She had a bunch of tables and never forgot a thing I asked for. The only wrinkle is a small parking lot. I didn't take the time to investigate other parking, but I will. I'm going back tomorrow! Update - I did go back with my grandson. I had the (yummy) chicken strips with fries and he had a cheeseburger. It was all very good. I don't usually eat a bunch of fries, but I did this time. I also had an electric lemonade which was very good.

Sitting along the marina with boats gently coming and going, The Lighthouse has all the ingredients for an afternoon you don't want to end. Unfortunately, our experience never quite found its sea legs. We arrived with a party of five and walked up to the host stand where several young employees greeted us... sort of. We let them know there were five of us. They nodded. That was it. No "What's your name?" No "We'll get you on the list." No "It'll be about a 30-minute wait." Just... nodding. As more guests started filing in behind us, I finally walked back up and asked if they needed our name or phone number. The group looked at one another like I'd asked them to solve a calculus equation. Eventually someone located a scrap of receipt paper and a marker to write our information down. I'm choosing to believe it was someone's first day because otherwise, it was a genuinely confusing start. The patio was bustling, but considering Texas had apparently opened the Gates of Hades that afternoon, our group requested indoor seating. A plus? There was only one table seated inside and they were just having drinks. We thought it would be a very short wait. About thirty minutes later, one of the hosts finally asked, "Would y'all be okay sitting inside?" Our entire table answered in unison: "YES." Once seated, things improved... at least initially. The dining room overlooking the marina is comfortable, with large windows that let the view do most of the decorating. The televisions were on without dominating the room, making it easy for our family to settle in and enjoy something we hadn't done in years--simply sit around one table together and catch up. Thankfully, we had plenty to talk about because the food took a while to arrive. My brother and I decided to split The Shipwreck, the restaurant's signature sandwich. On paper, it sounded incredible: fried chicken, fried cream cheese, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, homemade blueberry jam, and an order of their truffle fries. That's a sandwich that practically dares you not to order it. Unfortunately, reality didn't quite match the menu. The biggest disappointment was the "homemade blueberry jam." It wasn't jam. It tasted exactly like canned blueberry pie filling. That one ingredient completely threw off the sandwich for me. (thankfully, just in case, we had asked for it on the side) Beyond that, it was... fine. Not bad. Not memorable. Just an average fried chicken sandwich wearing a few extra accessories in hopes of becoming something special. For more than twenty dollars, I wanted something that made me think about it on the drive home. Instead, I mostly thought about how much potential it had. The truffle fries were another miss. They arrived barely warm and were cold before we made it halfway through the basket. The promised truffle flavor was faint, there were a few shavings of Parmesan, and instead of the garlic aioli listed on the menu, we were served plain mayonnaise. Meanwhile, our server proved elusive. After taking our order and delivering the food, she seemed to disappear entirely. When she finally resurfaced to greet the table beside us, we took the opportunity to ask for our check before she vanished again. To be fair, two members of our party ordered the chicken fried steak and both enjoyed it, so there were certainly bright spots on the menu. But as a whole, none of us walked away particularly impressed. It's disappointing because The Lighthouse has so much working in its favor. The location is wonderful. The view is exactly what you'd hope for on Lake Travis. The atmosphere invites you to slow down and stay awhile. Now it just needs food and service that rise to meet the setting. As for me? The Lighthouse didn't quite guide me safely to shore. Next time, I'll be looking for another place to dock in search of a better meal.

The majority of the property is covered by an expansive patio area, perfect for groups. They have a number of large tables, small tables and even chaise lounge chairs - whatever makes you comfortable! We arrived later in the night just as the live band was wrapping up but there were many of people out back watching the World Cup game. In terms of drinks, I got the skinny rabbit margarita and it was fantastic. It far exceeded my (admittedly, low) expectations. It had a mint accent which was delicious, and combined with a tajin rim, the perfect summer drink. Don't worry, if you don't like mint, they will happily leave it out. My friends got an espresso martini, customized without baileys or dairy, and enjoyed it for a bar that doesn't seem like they would even have espresso martinis. One odd note that I did notice is that the handwashing sink for the restrooms is outside of the restroom and around the corner both inside and outside. At first I thought that they did not have handwashing sinks and was confused but noticed them once I left. Hopefully people remember to do this when they leave!!

I grew up near Pasadena, where we had burger joints named Chuck Wagon. This is 70 years ago. Chuck Wagon had what I still consider to be my favorite hamburger. That's what I was weaned on, and spent a fraction of my younger years growing quite fond of. You know how it is, I bet. There was that sandwich shop, or hangout where they got to knowin' you. You always got that comfortable vibe from the folks there... and they had the absolute best Texas Hamburgers a child could want. Well, I went back there today...in my mind I'm talkin' about...not "actually" went back to the Chuck Wagon. I stopped by Texas Toast Breakfast and Burgers, ordered a Traditional Burger and fries, and took a bite. I swear to goodness every taste bud that remembered the Chuck Wagon burgers just stood up and said, "Where the heck am I." I'm bettin' that those of you who are of a certain age know exactly what I'm talkin' about....somethin' so good and so important in your life as that Chuck Wagon burger was in mine. It might be Grandma's cast iron skillet biscuits, or the chicken fried steak at the Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser. For me...today...it was that Traditional Burger at Texas Toast Breakfast and Burger.

While it was a bit of a far drive, it was well worth it to have breakfast at Texas Toast Breakfast and Burgers with these friends. I had no expectations of what to expect (first time diner), so I was starting from ground zero. First impression...this was a neighborhood café with down home cooking. The restaurant had a small town, country, and laid-back vibe...no pretense, just warm and welcoming. As I got out of my car, I could smell the wafts of something good happening in the kitchen. Our server was friendly and immediately offered us water. She gave us adequate time to place our orders and checked on us pretty frequently. She was attentive while also giving us the right amount of space. Why do this neighborhood café have a 4.8 rating? Hands the food! My friends ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Plate (including three over easy eggs, hash browns, and of course, Texas toast) and two breakfast tacos. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Did I die and go to food heaven? The waffles were firm on the exterior and soft and flavorful inside. So, so good! My friends were pleased their meals also. My friends meal came with Texas toast, which she gave to me. It was yummy! I did not eat it all since I was carb-loading with waffles. Would I dine at Texas Toast Breakfast & Burgers again? Absolutely!!!

The boy who sat us and was bussing tables was sweet as well. Second, food and drink. The jerk chicken plate was enough food to have leftovers and full of flavor. The Mexican martini was yummy and strong. Lastly, ambiance. The place is a dive, but not in a bad way. In a comforting way. Did I see a guy not wearing shoes? Allegedly!
