Three days of amazing music on two stages, Charles Wesley Godwin, moe, Tommy Brunetts all star cavalcade and Joan Jett and the blackhearts to name a few! Great seeing Lou Gramm a local favorite. Since it is a whiskey themed event, the world of whiskey was super popular, so many different distilleries showcased. Definitely an incredible experience sampling whiskeys from coast to coast. Iron smoke , Tin cup, den of thrives were some of my favorites. Other options were beers, wine and craft cocktails ... the old fashion was phenomenal! VIP area had a great viewing section and some lovely screwball cocktails... so smooth. Loved the fireside chats they offered, interesting to hear the different speakers talk about their process and love of what they do. Really hope this festival returns next year.. same spot too!!

I attended for years and years,…read morealways in awe of the variety of fine arts and crafts, before I realized this is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for the MAG. Knowing my entrance fee helps sustain such a treasure in Rochester motivates me to attend, even on the rainiest of days! This year's event was packed despite the cool damp weather. Artists and buyers filled the grounds, there were food and beverage trucks, Brown Hound had sweets and coffee, several area non-profits had tables set up (good on you MAG for supporting other non profits by offering free table space!!) and the MAG's own Creative Studio was set up outside with demos and opportunities to try your hand at a craft. Parking can be tricky (the MAG's own lots are used by vendors) but there are paid lots and street parking all around; there are entrances into the festival at the corners of University Ave and Goodman Street, and University Ave and Prince Street. The MAG volunteers are efficient and even a long wait line moves fast, especially for MAG members or those who bought tickets in advance inline (highly recommended). I have been a fan of this event for 2 decades and there is always something new and exciting - definitely recommended!!

This arts festival is completely overwhelming in that there's twenty of each thing you could possibly want! Every local artist participates in this fest, and you can find really whatever style you're looking for in whatever medium you're looking for. My purchase this year was an ornament for the Christmas tree, and I saw some other beautiful eye catching works that reminded me of the extreme artistic talent we have in this city. The footprint of the fest stretches really far, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to attend for 2+ hours or more if you're trying to do it all. Food options are all trucks or the brown hound cafe. I enjoyed a delicious blueberry ale from Rohrbach as we walked, and enjoyed the beautiful weather and views. If you've never been to Clothesline, you are missing out!

If you don't fill like the street food is your thing most of the restaurants on Park ave have outside seating too. Plenty of rides and games available. Local businesses had information booths you could visit and connect with. We also enjoyed the 4H area where all of the animals were on display. The day we came judging had been completed and we were able to see the prize winners. The food vendor selection was your typical fair findings. We enjoyed the birdland popcorn chicken bucket. Huge portion for $10 dollars. We mainly visited for a special fair tasting event: tastes of Wayne county which cost an additional $15 to enjoy. You receive a tasting cup and you could visit as many vendor tables as you like within the closed off area. We ended up purchasing some delicious locally grown popcorn and you could see many attendees leaving with vendor goods.

There are over 20 food vendors that offer a dollar sample item (these are hearty portion sizes) along with regular priced menu items. Festival goers really can get a good taste of everything Rochester has to offer this way. There is also live music through out the venue and A main stage providing all types of music genera. This event is put on by the Summit Federal credit union and Tops Friendly market. The event is to raise awareness and funds for the Villa of Hope and Center for Youth! This was a fantastic event! Delicious food samples - my favorite being the bang bang shrimp from Bonefish Grill. Also some great music with my favorite artist being a 5/6 year old rapper. Anyone who likes food as much as I do should definitely attend next year!

I stopped into The Lodge Bar on both visits and got to hear live music! It really put me in a festive and fun mood, having a drink while watching the musicians play Christmas songs. They have games and plenty of seating available in the lodge bar. We also tried out the free ice skating. You have to wait in line to get your free skates. The line moved quickly and we were skating in no time. They have skate mates available which helps to makes the rink accessible to all experience levels. I needed some help and used a skate mate. The city backdrop just added to the overall experience. The Roc Holiday Village was beaming with holiday magic and warmth. How lucky we are to have this attraction in our city. Free skate rental too. Great overlook area to people watch. Visit Santa Claus, free picture and a cookie. Crafts and other kid stuff in the gingerbread house. You will need a ticket ahead time for story time w Anna and Elsa. A few rows to shop local vendors and find some treasures. Very unique and hand made items. Some food and beverage options around the shopping village too. Chai, hot cocoa, pizza and donuts to name a few. Lodge bar is huge and open to the public. Grab a table or seat fast. Inside stage with live music and karaoke. A bunch of free games to play as you enjoy a tasty drink at the bar. Cash and credit taken. There are a few bar tastings events.. check their website. My favorite area is the outdoor seating area, scattered with fire pits, chairs and stumps to sit on and enjoy the atmosphere. Nothing beats watching the snow come down with a beverage in hand by a warm fire. They have igloo inns to rent, they seem to sell out way ahead of time. Cozy igloos sit 6-8 people, for 90 minutes. You can preorder food and drinks. You get a server that will bring you drinks and food too. Larger igloos available for 30 or 40 people. All igloos are heated. I was super excited to see one of the monorail cars from midtown mall on display. A great throwback to so many of our childhoods. It wasn't the holidays until you visited magic mountain, sibleys and took a ride on the monorail with your kazoo!
