We even gave the request to the busboy to make sure it got in on time. Our server didn't bother showing up until two minutes after six, then told us it was too late. This is ridiculous. We made every effort to order before the cutoff, but because of your server's timing, we got penalized. The manager stated the computer cuts off happy hour at 6 sharp ? Great food, sooo much better than your typical bar food at other places. Wings are excellent and their off-season specials are the best if you are local. Bar is always full and Jake rocks in addition to the other 2 female bartenders. Morgan is a delight if you get her as your waitress you won't be disappointed. This is a busy place so exercise patience especially if there happens to be a popular sports game on, way too many TV's to count. Everyone is very friendly. Happy hour is always hopping and they are one of the very few places in the area that are open late. Ambience is better than other sports bars in the area right down to the linen napkins. I love Hooked Up and can't say enough great things about it. It's my go to bar/restaurant in the area and always consistent. The only con (could be 5 stars) is the entertainment, 90% of the time they suck and are super loud, so loud you can't understand what the singer is even saying and don't plan on having a conversation). I rarely write reviews (I know, people who do write reviews say that, but I really don't write reviews). The owners, managers, bartenders, servers, chefs, etc. are all such good people and they genuinely care about the service. Amazing menu. Busy location with a good variety of options. Was in town for a weekend, and heard a lot about Hooked Up. Decided to order out. Man was it good. It's located in the corner spot of a mall front. Giant is the anchor with a couple other smaller shops next to it. It's a mix of sports bar and shellhouse. They have a band and with a gambling like dining room setup. The Thai Chili and Old Bay wings are jems. So flavorful, big size, well cooked and seasoned. The crab dip hot meaty. First visit and I liked the interior with all the big screen TVs easy sports viewing here. I ordered the Tomato soup as a starter but the food came shortly after. The soup was garnished with Parmesan slivers and was very spicy, a bit too "hot" for my liking. I could not finish it. My burger came out perfectly cooked and garnished. It was really a great portion served with a side of fries. For dessert I had the bread pudding which was a very big portion topped with vanilla ice cream and a thick caramel sauce. It was delicious. As you can see from my past three reviews we have been here three times before for dinner and happy hour when we first moved here in September 2021. I enjoyed the chicken wings from here in the past. On the Sunday after Christmas we ordered 42 chicken wings for take out without any sauce for $66 excluding gratuities. For Christmas we also bought two boxes for $35 each or $70 total of the Trio "Hot Ones" sauces from "www.hotones.com" related to the same TV show Season 25. Each trio box had three five ounce hot sauce bottles ranging in heat from lowest to hottest. We replicated our own family "Hot Ones" sauce battle among six family members, who volunteered. Per the show we started with the lowest hot sauce rating. Two children dropped out after the first two hot sauces. I made it through the first five hot sauces. Only two people made it through all six hot sauces including the hottest sauce. read more

Honestly one of the worst beach restaurants around. The service was poor as the waitress barely knew the menu. Waters and drinks were rarely if ever refilled. All white meat and not ridiculously thick! Key lime pie - big slice, amazing graham cracker crust and very refreshing. Depending on how much you like your key lime pie tartness, will determine if you like this. I like a good tartness, so this was very tasty. Went here today for lunch was seated right away, sat for at least 5 minutes a waitress came out from the kitchen set up a table next to our table had her back turned to us completely ignoring us. No acknowledgment at all ! only 4 other customers in the restaurant part. She had 1 table in which the customer asked for cocktail sauce she got it for him and then turned and went yo the back again! And still no acknowledgement. She came back out with menus went straight to the front desk drank her water and was on her phone. We got up and left. Worse service ever! I walked out shaking my head. However on our recent visit; service was great, ordered hot wings, they came out mild, blue cheese was watery - evidently they're making their own? French Onions soup lacked taste and was not the typical FO Soup. PEI Mussels are usually plump and very tasty. These Mussels were tiny / small. Manager claims "that's the way they're coming in". But, this time of the year the PEI Mussels should be plump and tasty. If they are so tiny and not desirable, don't sell them or change your supplier and get the real PEI product. The food is very good although a little more expensive for what you get. I wanted to get the oysters but there is no happy hour on holidays or weekends I believe. We went here twice while visiting Bethany beach. The first time we went in person for some apps and drinks and the food and service were both great! Unfortunately our opinion changed after ordering a large takeout order for our family the last night of our trip. Multiple items were missing from the order and/or put in incorrectly on the restaurants end (putting in the shrimp appetizer instead of the platter, receiving fried fish instead of the crab and fish dinner). When we called to correct the issue it was very difficult to relay the problem to the staff and find someone that was able to help us sort it out. We had to return to the restaurant for the rest of our food and were charged for a salad that they had forgot to ring in on the original order. I have to say this place I used to love and it's been going downhill ever since the corporate takeover, they used to have bacon jam. They stopped carrying that their burgers used to be fat and juicy well over an inch and a quarter now they're barely a half an inch dry and overcooked, I know that they're buying for a lot of restaurants and trying to save money by getting the same food at all the restaurants, but I think I'm pretty much done except for maybe drinking and watching football maybe some snacks but yeah I'm sad. After having a couple good experiences with their salads decided to try main courses. Started with the calamari but there were more fried jalapeño on the plate than calamari and it was very greasy. Had to send back the crab stuffed dayboat flounder as the crab tasted sour. Swapped it for the crispy shrimp basket and another greasy dish with the shrimp undercooked. Won't be back. read more

We got an order of Nachos, some wings and a bowl of chili. Everything was room temperature at best; was likely sitting out somewhere for a while. I sent the chili back to be nuked but it was still tasteless with zero pop. The wings, though tepid, were OK tasting and cooked OK but the "hot" wings were mild and the garlic parm wings were meh. The nachos...awful. Cold, flimsy chips, some kind of cheese wiz from a can or jar...just awful. We should have sent it all back...speaking of back, I won't be back. read more

The food is consistently good bar food. It's a great local hang out. The service leaves a lot to be desired. One bartender was working so hard. She was great. Unfortunately, she was not our server. Our server was checking her phone frequently and engaging in a conversation with one patron while the rest of us tried to get her attention because we needed things like another drink, the check, condiments, a box for leftovers, etc. She was not proactive and very unprofessional. No handwashing after clearing a dirty plate or glass (where she put her fingers in it to carry it) and then touching a lime to put in someone's drink. That's basic hygiene. It was disappointing. The place is casual, fun and the service is exceptional! Two nights in a row we visited and the staff was very accommodating and kind. The food is elevated pub food - burgers and fried stuff, yes, BUT there are quality ingredients and care taken. And the chef does a very nice job with a homemade MD Crab Soup - the BEST I have ever had. The desserts are GENEROUS portions, WITH a nice little selection, and only one is not made in house. Can recommend the Key Lime Pie whole heartedly. The Bread pudding is warm and cinnamon-y, caramel sauce drizzle - yummy.
